The food provided was fresh, tasty and the service was excellent. However- I would recommend implementing certain menu standards. In my case- I saw a nice salmon dinner on their website and had to walk by hundreds of pounds of fresh salmon to get to the restaurant yet Salmon was not available on the menu. I understand the need for locals to experience different types of fish (I had the barracuda)but for out of town visitors- The thought of a customer wanting to experience eating fresh salmon coming from 25 yards away should be a no brainer for the restaurant.

From the person who greeted us to the two people who waited on us, the service was impecable. The waiter and waitress did not dress like or act like servers. But they were there whenever we wanted anything and had a knowledgeable opinion on any question we asked. Then the Food: Scallops and Salmon were both GREAT. The side dishes on the plate added to create an outstanding dining experience. Then there was the DESERT.......mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

We visit Place Pigalle 4 or 5 times a year for dinner and about as often for lunch. It is one of our favorites for a nice evening out, especially when we have friends from out of town. The feel is very European and the meal is never rushed. The view is beauitiful, the staff is always friendly, extremely professional and the food is some of the best in Seattle. The menu is varied to suit most tastes (including vegetarian) with unique appetizers, salads and delicous soups. Always save room for the Pots de Creme and/or the cherry torte for dessert! I've never had a better Pots de Creme in my life (and there have been many) - it is incredible!

We tried it out with Seattle week but I will go back. Really enjoyed the dinner and view of the sound. The pinot we choose from Oregon was great also. It is a small restaurant and it was full on the Thursday night when we went so it was a bit noisy, if you want quiet this isn't the place or ask them when the place isn't full.

We went for Seattle Restaurant Week. Only a couple hours before our reservation, some friends decided to join us. The restaurant was quite accommodating, including our request for a quiet table. Though we were told no separate checks, they did it for us anyway. My only complaint is that the Restaurant Week menu was full of heavy food. Would have appreciated a salad as an appetizer. But otherwise, we enjoyed Place Pigalle very much.

Took my wife there again for her birthday. Service was warm and unintrusive, and they stopped to explain things as desired. Appetizer was stellar (a house-prepared terrine and apple butter, with brie and a duck leg confit and some grapes and a toasted small loaf), the onion gratinee excellent, her halibut was as well, my bouillabaisse was not as spicy as I'd hoped but very well prepared and very tasty. The Gosset individual champagne servings were all we expected, as was the Nebbiolo. There's good reason why this is one of our favorite Seattle restaurants.

Place Pigalle is our favorite restaurant in Seattle. We have dined at this restaurant three times so far and plan to include it on our must do list each time we visit. Went to Place Pigalle for Saturday lunch on a sunny day --- I expected it to be crowded but it was almost empty. From past experience I thought of Place Pigalle as kind of high end, but the lunch menu is downright ordinary --- salads, sandwiches, the obligatory fish entree. Overall: a good place to have a quiet lunch at the market, but not really up there in heights of the Seattle food scene.

Our lunch was very tasty we had the French Onion soup which was so good. I would recommend that you ask for half amount of cheese to be put on top of the soup. my wine which was a house red was very pleasing. The chef was able to do a grill cheese sandwich which not on the menu and I was told it was most satisfying. I found that the lunch was a bit pricey but would like to return.
