A word from Dagabi Cucina
DaGabi Cucina has the blend of a contemporary look and décor with the warmth and aroma of authentic, traditional Spanish cuisine. The wood brick oven brings you back in time and transports you to a wonderful meal in old Madrid .A good meal is characterized by the love of wine, fresh saffron and wood-oven baked bread. DaGabi Cucina offers a menu that ranges from the hearty fare of Spain’s south, the classic cuisine of the center, and the more refined dishes of the north.
All the dishes are cooked at the moment with the freshest and highest quality of ingredients, and have a tasty balance of simplicity and full flavor.
Our atmosphere reflects this balance, whether you are enjoying a sophisticated dinner or a casual evening with friends. Dinner specials are served nightly.

After I was first sat it took over 20 minutes for someone to bring waters and for a server to even come great our table. This would be more understandable if the place was full and everyone was busy but you could see the staff jut talking to eachother instead if taking are of the costumers! The food was fine but would have been better if I didn't have to wait 30 minutes per appitizer! I would not recvomens it to anyone!

We sat outside and the noise from children skateboarding and playing on the adjacent patio area was loud enough that we had trouble hearing each other and the waiter. I love kids and the sound of kids playing, but if you want a quiet outdoor dining experience, this might not be a good choice for you. The food is reliable but the menu has been the same for a long time, so it would be nice to see some new things. Tuesday is happy hour all night, so it's a great bargain. The servers were very pleasant but a bit on the slow side.

As always the tapas and entrees were delicious. Focusing for the moment on desserts, however, the desserts are sumptious with always something special to surprise the frequent guest. Antonio cpntiues to provide new delights. This week it was Spanish churros with chocolate. Not too sweet but just right for a warm winter delight.

I would have enjoyed this place more were it not for the messy, distracting, loud toddler at the table right next to ours. I really wish restaurants would realize that couples on dates do not want children 2 feet away from them. Otherwise, the decor and ambiance would have been very romantic. The food was good, but not great. A little boring. Perhaps later in the evening would have been a better experience.

Went to Dagabi with my two kids and two adults. Their Happy hour menu is extensive and offers the customer a number of choices. They have a great selection of tapas at very reasonable prices and portion sizes which are much larger than most tapas restaurants I've been to. The wait staff was very attentive and were knowledgable in helping us select our items. The atmosphere is relaxed and the crowd is quite diverse. I can't wait to go back!

Dagabi opened back in the late 90's before I moved away from Boulder, and quickly became known for great Italian food in a niche north Boulder market. I have been back every few years when I visit, and am happy to report that their food has remained high quality and consistently fresh. The wine and bar list is decent, the pasta is fresh, the service is friendly and the place has a way of attracting regulars. A refreshing change of pace from the downtown scene.

Dagabi Cucina is a N Boulder gem. The food is always delicious, the service delightful and the environment is comfortable and friendly. Unlike some other Boulder restaurants the noise level at Dagabi is quiet and relaxing. I have taken many friends to Dagabi for dinner and happy hour and we have never been disappointed. The pasta is fresh and perfectly cooked, the clams are delicious, the cooked greens are lovely, the arugula salad was fresh and tasty. The wine selection is ample (although this isn't my forte). This visit we had the red sangria and thoroughly enjoyed it although my favorite drink is the Lemon Drop Martini. The dessert selections are lovely and delicious. Everything about Dagabi Cucina is predictable and delicious.

It was Monday. Three of us had the special paella of the day and one had the paella de mariscos. The portions were generous. The chicken that came with the paella special was well cooked but the paella itself was ok - it needed a little more kick from spices. The paella de mariscos was good too, although it was a little too lemon-y with the side of half lemon and hence a little hard to taste other spices. We are all foodies so we can be a bit harsh on criticizing the food. Overall, good food experience for us.

This was our second visit to Dagabi Cucina and, this time, we brought friends. The service was excellent and the atmosphere for both indoor and outdoor eating is lovely. My husband and I both had the Filet Mignon special last Friday night while our friends had the sea bass special and one of the large salads for their mains. Our steaks were cooked exactly as we requested and the portions were perfect. Not too little but not so much we were stuffed. We shared a Creme Brûlée dessert - raspberry - and it was also excellent. What a lovely evening!

  • Great Spanish cuisine in Boulder
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010
    Dined on 6/21/2013
Chef Antonio Rullo, a native of Toledo, Spain, brings his skill, knowledge, and experience to create great Spanish cocina, or cuisine, in a cozy, somewhat off-the-beaten-path location in North Boulder. One of the indicators that Dagabi serves good, authentic Spanish food is that many Spanish people from the Denver metro area eat there; you often hear Chef Antonio speaking Spanish in the dining rooms. Dagabi's popular tapas, or small plates, are served daily from 5 to 6:30pm and all night on Tuesdays. Specials change nightly; the menu is easy to navigate because though the entrée names may be in Spanish, the ingredients are listed in English. The pizzas are better than anything I had during a two-week trip across Northern Italy last year.

Delectable Spanish inspired creations dance off the tongue. The food is more than traditional tapas both in size and taste, some complex dish's. Try the clams, sardines, boquerones, dates (mind-blowing), pasta with mussels and real Spanish chorizo...a must. The food here was spectacular! Very reasonable prices for an array of tastes this great to anyone seeking for robust, elemental flavors that shuffles together in deliciously ingenious ways- I have an answer for you: Dagabi .The waiter recommendations were right on spot for both wine and food A blast, enjoy.

Food was great! The only thing that can beat it is the tapa places around Madrid town center. Monday was paella Monday, $12 for a great paella is a hard-to-beat deal. I noticed that the restaurant was unusually quiet. It's usually extremely busy, hence the low noise level.
