A word from Sapporo
When reserving tables online, please indicate your table preference: Teppan or Pacific Rim Dining Room. Known for its fresh, high-quality food and vibrant nightlife atmosphere, Sapporo’s dramatic exterior is framed with giant torches that light the Scottsdale sky. The interior is equally dramatic and includes an elegant elliptical bar where the passion-mango martini is a local favorite. The restaurant’s menu includes a variety of premium sushi and Teppanyaki as well as classic and contemporary Asian specialties, such as Grilled Black Cod glazed in Miso; delicately fried Tempura, and even a spicy take on Hawaiian poki. Sapporo’s popular Happy Hour specials highlight the restaurant’s creative cocktail menu and is available seven days a week from 3-7pm in the lounge and on the patio. Reverse Happy Hour is offered Thursday – Saturday 10pm to close.

  • Unfortunately our experience

Unfortunately our experience was bad. We are locals and have been enjoying Sapporos Happy Hour for a once a week for a couple of years. We normally go and enjoy a Happy Hour Drink and a bunch of the Happy Hour appetizers and scaled down entrees which were plentiful. Then stay after Happy hour and split a regular entree. Saporro use to be known as the best place for Happy Hour in town and I do mean use to be. I was angry at the reduction of items on the Happy Hour menu now. Highlighted in red font a couple of dollars off a bunch of the cheaper roles and cheaper appetizers and just one normal menu item left the sliders and them only two dollars off that. We paid the bill, told the waiter we were leaving due to the new Lame Happy Hour and left

Food is good, ambiance is geered to the under 30 crowd. Wish we had known from their web site about the different table choices. It was very dark and very very noisy. If you like that sort of thing...No it was more than noisy, It was down rightloud

  • This place has the worst customer

This place has the worst customer service I have experienced. We had a 7pm reservation and weren't seated until 7:55pm, even though most walk-ins who arrived after us were seated within 20 minutes. When I asked why we hadn't been seated the hosted said that they were waiting on a particular table. I told her to just give us a different table and she said it was too complicated to move us. She promised to send a manager over to see if there was anything they could do. The manager never came. Finally, we were seated and the hostess again said that she would send a manager (there were 2 very visable managers walking around all night) who again didn't show up. The food wasn't even that good and certainly not worth the long wait. Don't go!

  • My date's fish and my steak
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006
    Dined on 3/26/2010
My date's fish and my steak were excellent, and our server and the assorted table runners took great care of us. But that's where the good stuff ends. Do not attempt to have a conversation here. Do not attempt to think here. It's just too loud. Eh? What? Speak up! Better yet, use sign language... Although we loved the chow, the decibel level turned us off. We won't be back.
