Tried a couple of new, or first time, menu items and was not disappointed. The Prawns and Fries were awesome, Brie always great and I chose a Pasta Broccoli dish that was fantastic. Very tasty! We'll be back!

We were attending a wine tasting event later in the evening so we just ordered starters and a glass of wine each. My husband had the calamari and I had steamed clams. Both were excellent. We shared several spreads which were served with flatbread and crackers. Again, very good. Although the food is excellent, we feel that the service is what really puts this restaurant "over the top". We have also had dinner and been very pleased. Overall, a pleasant experience at a reasonable price. We will return when we visit Woodinville.

Hard surfaces abound. It is difficult to have a conversation. The woman at the table next to us was holding her smart phone, playing a tune, and singing along loudly. Yet few could even hear this because it was so noisy. It could be much better with just a liitle thought given to acoustics. The food was OK - a bit too much garlic in the potatoes, and the chicken salad had more chicken than greens.

We arrived for a late lunch around 3:45 p ...however, when we requested to have glass of wine before ordering, the server got a bit agitated and we felt like she was rushing us. I found an Italian wine that looked good, but they would not let me try a taste of it, and told me that once the bottle was open I had to buy it, unless it had turned. I had never received that kind of treatment in a restaurant before. I decided to take a chance and then they didn't have it! After a lot of discussion, I ended up bringing in my own wine that we had bought that day and corked it (server looked annoyed now). At least that is a very good deal and a definite plus for Purple Cafe. The food was very good...experience could have been better.

Darling husband and I went to Purple in Woodinville the other day for happy hour. Great choices on the menu. We selected delicious Bruschetta as well as Butternut squash soup and Tomato Bisque soup. We brought in our own bottle of wine. No charge for corkage which is just wonderful! Our waitress was attentive, efficient and very pleasant. We will come back to Purple again in the near future!

The food selection wasn't as vast for my taste and our waitress was quite forgetful in bringing us our specific items. Also when trying to explain to us about different cheeses she was very misinformed as our geoup had a cheesemaker in it so he had to tell her what the other cheeses were. I would go back for atmosphere and drinks.

The appetizers (calamari and house made spreads) were good and I'd definitely order both again. For entrees, the mushroom meatloaf and braised brisket bolognaise as average at best and definitely not special. Both were relatively bland and the meat in the bolognaise had strange texture and taste. I wish I'd ordered the mushroom risotto as I've had that before and it's amazing. The deserts were salted caramel and pecan pie bread pudding and were definitely the highlight of the meal. I wish I could rate it higher, however, the entrees were subpar.

Food is excellent and the numerous wine flights are reasons to keep coming back. Nic the manager and CT The Sommalier made our first visit feel like we'd been old friends here for years. Got introduced to a crazy orange wine called Peasants Tears that we'd never heard of and are still talking about. Definitely a Seattle go-to.

Having dined at Purple in he past, was looking forward to a great evening. Not so fast my friend. When our sever finally brought bread to the table of 4, there were only three pieces. Then trying to get her attention was a task. She was preoccupied by some of her friends a table near us. I'm sure they were well taken care of. Now for the food. The crab cakes were just ok, they have been better. Although the meatloaf was great, the gravy that accompanied the it tasted like someone had spilled the entire salt shaker in it. OH MY! I drank water the of the rest of the night. What is normally a great experience was mediocre at best. Unfortunately I will no longer recommend Purple to my friends or will I go back.

My best friend and I went for dinner but once we got there the appetizer menu looked so good we decided to have wine and appetizers. We tried the Baked Brie, cheese spreads, sweet potato fries, and some kind of cheese curds. Everything was so good and way too much food for just the two of us but fun to try it all out. After all that there is always some room for desert so we ordered the bread pudding and salted caramels. Needless to say we were very stuffed but also satisfied with our choices.

Our reservation was for 7pm on a Thursday. When we arrived we could hardly hear one another. Service and food were great, and by 8 or so things had quieted considerably. We did the $30 dinner with wine pairing ($20), and everything paired nicely. We ordered an extra appetizer because we were hungry when we arrived, but the appetizers included with the meal were delivered so quickly we really didn't need it.

This place was a nice find in the heart of Woodinville town center. We stopped at 4 other places in the same complex to get wine, sushi, more wine, coffee and finally went to dinner. The server was nice and let us take our time to decide. The wine list is extensive and the pairings are really fantastic. The portions were modest, but people looking for huge servings are not going here either. I had the filet mignon with the green beans and had them hold the mushrooms; it was cooked perfectly. Overall, if you don't mind a bustling place and have some spare scratch (our bill for two was roughly 120 before tip) then this is a good one.

Ambience is nice. Wine selection extensive. 'Purple chopped' house salad was good. Calamari appetizer was tender (though a spicier dip would be an improvement). My wife had the crab pasta -- she said it was pretty good. I had the lobster macaroni. It was OK, but I wouldn't really recommend it. Seemed like run-of-the-mill macaroni with chunks of somewhat rubbery lobster. Bread was tolerable, but a bit dried out. Service was acceptable but a little spotty (we had to ask twice before they remembered to bring bread). Entree selection limited. Perhaps sandwiches or pizza would have been a better choice? This was my first visit, so I'm not coming to firm conclusions. All-in-all we enjoyed the dinner and will probably go again.

I've been to this restaurant many times, and the food is always consistently good. I was disappointed this time with the Service we received. The service was VERY slow and they did not refill our drinks until we asked 3/4 of the way through our meal. After reserving a table for 4 with out-of-town visitors, we arrived - first to find no parking at the shopping strip location, ended up parking about 1/4 mile away and walking to the restaurant in the rain. On arrival, they had no table for us, and finally, after about a 30 min wait and asking a few times, they offered a table outside. The table ended up being 1/2 in the rain - so two guests ended up getting drizzled on all dinner (we'd moved the table some to get a bit closer to cover - with no help from staff). We ordered wine, appetizers and dinner. Dinner arrived - but no appetizers. They offered free dessert. I'm not impressed. Decent food, no parking, got order wrong, and we sat in rain the full dinner. I'd expect better!
