Girlfriends and I went to a matinee movie in the area and took advantage of the fact they open at 4:30 for dinner. We were greeted promptly and the service was impeccable throughout our meal! When we were seated we were presented with flutes of complimentary sparkling wine to enjoy while we considered the menu. We started with the Pear & Goat Cheese Bruschetta recommended by the waitress, which was delightful. Although everything on the menu looked delicious, two of us always order duck whenever we are offered the opportunity in a restaurant like this where you know it will be good, so we opted for the Cassoulet...which was fabulous!! Our friend went with the fresh halibut dish which was delightful as well. A truly wonderful experience!

We celebrated my husband's birthday here and it was perfect! Both food and service were of the highest caliber. The Ahi Tuna appetizer (chopped)was of the highest quality and flavor. The lamb chops were perfectly prepared and very well-presented. Simply an outstanding restaurant located in downtown Gig Harbor. Although you're in the harbor you will not have a water view; the view is the food!

I have eaten at Brix numerous times over the past three years. The last couple of times the food had not been up to par with what I had come to expect. I am happy to report that things appear to be looking up based on this latest visit. My wife had the King Crab Legs with a mix of asian veggies. The crab was a little too salty but good. The presentation and the veggies were top flight. I had the blue cheese crusted Strip. The port demiglas was outstanding as were the potatoes. The meat was good but not great although it was cooked a perfect medium as I had requested. Had the cobbler for desert which was outstanding. Overall a very nice evening with great service and ambiance and food that would rate about a 3.7.

  • AVERAGE DINING. Appetizer
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 2/14/2010
AVERAGE DINING. Appetizer (mussels/clams) was exceptional, but everything else was no better than average. Scallops were slightly undercooked and served cold. Lamb was slightly underdone. The bread can best be described as cute, but of only average tastiness, although the flavored butter served with with the bread was different and very tasty. Altogether, a forgettable experience not worth repeating

  • Well we made reservations
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010

Well we made reservations at 8:15pm. We arrived at the same time (walked in before though) two other couples. The hostess ignored us at first (no big deal) and took the names of the other couples who walked in after us. One of the couples was there for 8:15pm and the other has reservations at 8:30pm. At around 8:30pm a third couple came in whom were a bit late for their reservations at 8:15pm. Needless to say, the hostess sat us at a table after each one of these couples and preceded to lie to us about the couple with the 8:30pm reservation. I realizes we are young (24), however, restaurants should not go in the order of people whom the hostess talk to first, it should go by reservation and timeliness of arrival. Seated at 8:50pm.

Service was slow. They try to hard to be fancy and end up screwing up the food. Odd combinations. The wine was the most enjoyable part of the meal. even the butter for the bread was disappointing. Ate all the food and still went home hungry. Portions are way to small considering the expensive price.

  • I love good food, and I go
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

I love good food, and I go to the nicest restaurants in Tacoma and Seattle, and this place was excellent! It's small and romantic, the food is really the best I've had in a long time-It exceeded my expectations in every way. We frequent restaurants like Daniel's broiler, El Goucho's, CI Shananigan's, etc, And this place was the best food, and it had this feeling like a small family owned restaurant that was our little secret place. Loved it, loved it!
