We celebrated our mom's 75th Birthday here and it was the perfect choice. They had a bouquet of flowers for the birthday girl and gave her a lava cake for dessert. Our server was perfect, who quickly resolved a small mishap from the kitchen. Everyone loved their entrees...and there was enough variety so that all 9 of us got what we wanted. We ordered a variety of appetizers, cocktails and entrees. I had the chef's prix fixe meal and for $35 it was a good deal... app was short ribs dim sum, entree salmon (perfectly poached) on a bed of asian greens, and carrot cake for dessert. My nephew had the sampler with fish and beef, my niece the bone-in rib eye. My brother had two sushi rolls, and mom enjoyed her scallops.

We've dined at various Roy's locations on the mainland and in Hawaii. They have a "new" menu or at least new for us. Hurray - not so much seafood (we're both allergic). Lots of chicken, pork, beef. All of the flavors were inventive and delicious. Service from our server, Brandon, was top-notch. One of the managers, Al, made a point to stop by and check on us as well. Try the Short Rib & Mushroom appetizer, just wonderful. They also have a great-tasting side dish of Mac N Cheese which goes with anything on the menu. Our cocktails were never empty before Brandon was checking on us and even the hostess staff were friendly and efficient. We were thrilled AND will be back SOON!!

Each time I visit Orlando, Roy's a one place that comes to mind for me. This trip, we received wonderful service from James. We enjoyed our seafood dishes and ended with the delicious chocolate lava dessert. My only one comment for improvement is the ambience. The place needs more natural lighting.

Previous visits to Roy's were tops. I remembered being surprised with little bonuses of culinary delight being delivered between courses with "compliments of the chef", even an extra dessert, just so that my party could sample both offerings. These extras made the premium prices feel like a better value. Unfortunately those days seem to have passed. What was ordered was exactly what we received, at the same premium price. Some items were excellent, others just ok. The service was solid, but bordered on over attentive. Call me old fashioned, but I normally like to pull in my chair and relax for 45 seconds before being presented with edamame, introduced to my three waiters and asked if I'd care to be walked through the menu.

We move out of this area three years ago. Been a fan of Roy's for many years and visited Roy's at this location many times. So being in town for a short visit, we did not want to leave town without a stop at Roy's. What a disapointment. Asked the waiter if we could substitute the appetizer offer in the fix priced menue, his answer was a NO! The serivce was extremly slow. Waiter warned us that the plate is hot, but we found the food cold. This is not the Roy's I remenber from my years in Orlando.

The food at Roy's is always well prepared and well thought out, I wish we could say the same about the service. The wine came out after our food did which was not good as the food took 15-20 minutes to arrive. We asked why the wine was delayed and we were informed that they did not chill it and they were waiting to chill it prior to serving it. They mixed up the order of one of our party and it took 14 minutes to get coffee after dinner and they only brought 3 of the 4 that were ordered and we had to wait another 10 minutes to get the 4th. All in all not a good showing for the wait staff.

Every time we are in Orlando, we make Roy's a destination for a fantastic dinner and never have we been disappointed. My wife and I sat at bar and the bartenders exceeded our expectations! They took the time make some recommendations from the menu and even explained differences with some local Gins. We got picture taken and received a "Roy's" frame to remember the evening. Great Job all around and that is why we return each time in town!

I've been to multiple Roys and this was the worst location I have been to. Specifically the service was slow and the food was poorly prepared. I order the bone in Ribeye medium well. The outside was charred and inside half was well done and the other half was blood red. Our appetizer of vegetable spring rolls came out 15 minutes after our kids appetizer which was 30 minutes after ordering. I enjoy a long dinner but the service was off and not in coordination with the dining experience I expected.

We had a bad experience at the Chicago, IL Roy's. When visiting Orlando we wanted to give Roy's another try. We were so happy we did. From the greeting to the waiters to the Manager it was a wonderful experience. The food is so goooood! We decided from this dining experience we were going to take our friends back for another evening. It was just as good and just as wonderful. It turned a bad experience from Chicago,IL into the BEST experience in Orlando, FL. We will visit it every year when we come back. YUMMY!

First time to Roy's on a recommendation from a local Orlando resident. Excellent location for wine enthusiast and foodies!! Starter of Kung Pao calamari followed by entrees of roasted macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and misoyski butternut served with Four Grace Pinot Noir, and Conundrum white blend of which both were an excellent pairing with dinner. Topped the evening with a pineapple upside down cake dessert which took us over the edge! The service for the evening was exceptional, and very attentive to details!! Thank you for a very enjoyable experience!!

The Roy's franchise is a favorite of mine. However, not all of them are the same. The Orlando Roy's is a gem. Reminder of the attention and excellence from the Hawaii Kai location. Food was awesome - lots of choices and all fresh ingredients prepared well. Had some friends with me who had been at another Florida Roy's and were not a fan. This location changed that. The Shrimp and Poke appetizers were big hits. The bone-in ribeye steak was excellent - others enjoyed the Lobster Pot Pie and the Scallops.

We visited Roy's to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. I offered her a choice of five 'nice' restaurants and she chose Roy's. Great choice! James , our waiter, was wonderful. He was outgoing, personable, attentive, and one step ahead of us all evening. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The prosciutto wrapped shrimp with grits was a big hit (we passed bites all around the table). Try the chocolate soufflé - you will enjoy! Although their website doesn't mention it, they do have a kids menu for young folks not into fancy food.

The food was cooked well and very flavorful. Server was attentive and accommodating- the desserts we pre-ordered (at the time our entrees arrived) took longer than expected, however we received two additional desserts (at no charge) to make up for the inconvenience. The ambiance was extremely loud, which made it difficult to carry on conversations at our own table, or hear the server at times. The signature Hawaiian Martini is a must try!

We LOVE Roy's but can never get used to the noise volume. If you want gourmet food with a creative twist, Roy's is for you. The Hawaiian Martini is exceptional. If you want to have a conversation during dinner, go late. If you go during happy hour, you will be forced to yell across the table in order to hear each other no matter where you are sitting in the restaurant. We made the mistake of going at 6:30. By 8pm, it was quiet but we were also finished with our dinner by then. In the future, we will not make reservations before 7:30. Because of the service, quality and creativity of the menu, Roy's will always be one of our favorites.

This place is wonderful. We arrived on Sunday for Aloha Hour which had a small list of half price appetizers & drinks. We ordered a sushi roll and it wasn't the full size roll for half price it seemed half the size. It tasted great and was a nice sampler. The bottled beers were in fact half the price so that was a good deal. We were seated at our table in the middle of the restaurant, it is a little noisy because there is a lot going on with the bar, open kitchen and open dining room. I'll say it isn't as noisy as a mexican restaurant down the street though. The food does not disappoint. The tempura sushi roll is so unique and delicious, ribs are sweet with smoky flavor, mahi mahi was so moist. Everything was excellent.

We don't get back to Roy's as much as we used to (we live on the other side of town and we have kids) but Roy's always knows how to treat us as special guests. The management and staff always goes out of their way to make us feel welcome and few restaurants are like that - unless you spend a fortune (which we don't). The food is always delicious (try the tuna and the tuna poke - they are both unbelievable!). Roy's is our go-to for date night or any other special occasion. It's our favorite restaurant in Orlando.

Dinner was good, but took way too long, we almost left without desert because of the wait and we never got the picture I asked for to make up for the bad one from the previous year.
