We ate at a Fogo in Chicago a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. This visit was just ok and that is because of the service. Most of the meat was not the best quality, especially given the price. We had to ask more than a couple of times for the pork or chicken to be brought over. The salad bar has gone downhill. The sides served to the table were not good. In fact, I swear the garlic mashed potatoes were from a box. I can get an awesome steak in Chicago for the 53.00pp we paid. Granted, I'll have to pay for any sides, but they would be just as wonderful. We will stick with good steak houses from now on- no more Fogo.

The restaurant is just about the meat - not the service, not your experience. The meat was just ok. There was a lot of it, as much as you want and unless you set the pace by turning your disk over, it comes at you really fast. the meat servers don't talk to you except to ask you if you want what they are serving. A little warmth or friendliness would have been appreciated. The salad bar was quite good - but that's not what I went to Fogo de Chao for.

We went in a Saturday night. It was extremely busy and loud! After some confusion about where our table was, the service was fine. The food -super good! The salad bar is good, but the main attraction is the different meats. Every meat we third was tasty. The only issue was that some of the slices were too rare. It was good overall; we'd go back and we did! This was on a Monday night and the noise was at a much more tolerable letter. The staff were not so rushed and the atmosphere was much calmer. Same good service and meats.

Fogo de Chao is a very attractive and large restaurant. While it gets extremely busy they left enough room to keep things private. All the meat and salad bar you can eat for $53. Salad bar is extensive and easy to fill up on before the meat stars coming. They also bring great cheese bread, fried polenta and fried banana. They do however push extras, like alcoholic beverage and desserts and if you give in, it is easy to walk away with a whopping big bill. Compared to any nice restaurant in any big city the price not unreasonable and a fun experience! Easy to burn out on if you go too often as everything is heavily salted.

Food and atmosphere were good, but the passionfruit caipirinhas were very bitter and weird, and there was not enough well-done meat. There was also some confusion about whether some of the items on the buffet were gluten free (I have Celiac Disease). All staff should be trained in food allergies.

Any city that has a Fogo will get a visit from me when I'm in town. Great food, best salad bar I've seen, gluten free cheese rolls and a real show. Amazing teamwork creates an experience that is just plain fun. Surprise bonus, our two children (aged 7 and 9) were comped. I don't know if this is regular policy, but if so, Fogo is a great way for parents to eat at a great restaurant with kids at a very reasonable price.

An incredible experience for meat eaters. Service was excellent. The variety and quality of the meats could not be rivaled. The only caution, as expressed by our "gaucho" was to refrain from eating too much at the sumptuous salad bar so as to have insufficient room for the meats. The three side dishes of mashed potatoes, fried bananas, and a corn-cheese bread-like mixture were replenished and were delicious.

I took my co-worker here for her birthday and she absolutely LOVED IT! She is EXTREMELY particular about food and often makes changes to ANYTHING she orders. She was so taken by the wide variety of the salad bar and drink list. When the meats began to arrive and the server provided her with how the system worked, she was absolutely FLOORED by the service she received. We have already talked of having a group there again soon!

Went to Fogo de Chao twice this month. The first time was for my anniversary, and the second one was with a large group of friends. When I went there for my anniversary, I noted that it was my anniversary. Normally, a restaurant would bring out 2 glasses of champagne or give a dessert that says "happy anniversary" on it - they do something... a small gesture. Fogo de Chao did nothing. The second time, one of the servers spilled blood (meat juice) on my jacket. Another server washed it and removed the stain (thankfully!). However, Fogo de Chao did not offer anything. I feel like another restaurant would have... The bottom line is, while the meat is good, the service is very lacking.

Having an anniversary dinner with my wife, but there was a slight mix-up; our daughter contacted the restaurant via e-mail and requested that they deliver a bottle of wine to our table. The message was viewed by the staff as we were getting ready to depart, so they were most apologetic and provided us with a complementary gift card for dinner for two and a bottle of wine. This is service at the highest level! The dining experience was excellent

It seems anytime I put a note w/my reservation about asking for a quiet tables due to one of my party's guests hearing disability, we get put in the noisiest of areas like it's some kind of joke. Service was great, food was what you'd expect but we were seated right at the beginning of the line for the salad bar and it got loud and not private at all. If the place was packed I'd understand but there were open tables all over the place. Other than that, it was a good experience from affordable valet, nice greeting by the hostess to the food and the team oriented service. The guy with the drink cart is pretty tricky about saying he thought we ordered 4 of the drinks when we only ordered one. He had made 3 by the time we stopped him.

Filet mignon is pretty good and tender. Sirloin is good but too many skewers of sirloin meats. Better if had ribeye and/or porterhouse also. Ribs are decently good but could be better if had bbq flavor. Chicken is decently good but could be better if was roasted whole chickens and had some other flavor. Salad bar is very good with different vegetables and cheeses offered. Chocolate souffle dessert was very good. Fun place for groups as compared to some stuffy steakhouses.

It's just flat out good. One side note besides just the meat I'm in love with the scalloped potatoes on the hot bar. If I wasn't saving room for all of the meat I would have definitely had more of them :-)

The variety and quality of the meat make the visit a special occasion to be fully satisfied for the "All you can eat" Rodizio. Get there hungry and measure the speed of your meat acceptance to make it a long enjoyable experience. My family of five got charged for four as the 6 years old was decided by them to be "courtesy" even though he ate a lot for his age. It balances the check much better as it's costly per person. Very nice salad bar.

I've been to Brazilian steakhouses before, but this was my first time at this particular chain. It was a very good experience. The salad bar was good (although not as extensive as the other Brazilian steakhouses I've been to, but that's not the real reason that you go to a Brazilian steakhouse anyway!). The selection of meat was great. When our server saw that we were waiting for some time for a particular meat choice, he asked us what we were waiting for, and it appeared in a few minutes. Overall, an excellent experience.

My guest and I had a reservation on a Friday night, so you can imagine, it was VERY crowded, but nonetheless a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, but the service was a tad slow, but again, it was only because it was a very busy Friday night. In comparing this to Texas de Brazil, the meats are a bit more on the bland side, but they do have salt & pepper on the tables for you to add your own desired amount. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone I know!

If you love MEAT, then this is your place. The all you can eat salad bar is outstanding with high end fixings. But don't load up on the salad as once you turn over your red card, it's a full onslaught of all you can eat high quality cuts of MEAT. You also get all you can eat mash potatoes, polenta, sweet plantain bananas, and bread. If you haven't filled your gullet after trying the 16 different varieties of MEAT, a hunk of phenomenal New York style cheesecake will finish you off. The Xingu beer is as tasty as the MEAT. The price may appear to be high, but it's totally worth it if you love MEAT!

We went for special occasion; Father's Day. Had heard wonderful things, and it certainly lived up to its reference. The preparations and choices of meats were varied, and all were excellent. Too often there are tempting things on a menur that you never get to try - here, everything is available for tasting, or targeted indulgence!! The meats were all superb, and the salad bar alone is worth a trip. Price is a bit high to make this a regular place to come, but certainly we will return.
