Originally went to this restaurant by mistake and was so glad we did. Although the large windows, don't really have a view worth looking at, the food is spectacular. The rack,of lamb and the pork were supurbly done with a very flavourful glaze. The service was prompt, friendly and discreet. Now one of our favourites and we,have been back three times.

This was the second for brunch and the first experience was better. We made a reservation for 2. When we arrived we requested a window seat. There was one for 4 available all through our meal.We were taken to one at the banquette seating side. We found the table for two small and the seat very upright. We were also next to a family party that was not very relaxing but great for them to have a place to sit together with young children. Had crab cakes the same as before but found them to be a little too crispy this time. Service was great and I don't want to sound picky but you gave me this opportunity. I would definitely come again but be more insistent on my seating next time.Previously we sat at cirular table in the middle that was great.

It's a great place for lunch because the menu selection, food quality and service are always great! The location is central adn parking is easy. I also appreciate that even when it rains, the restaurant is bright. I also have enjoyed dinners there, but it tends to be my 'go to' place for lunch.

Great dinner at The Lobby. Both the food and service were great. Unfortunately the acoustics in the restaurant are such that on a busy night its very difficult to hear other people talk (it wasn't just me-the waitress kept asking us to repeat ourselves!). There is a lot of background noise and little or sound baffling in the room. Ownership should seriously consider addressing this problem.

We went to The Lobby several times before. Their food is not excellent but good portion and tasty most of the time, but our dinner on Saturday night was very disappointing. We were looking forward to having black cod. Black cod was on the menu but we were told that they didn't have it anymore on the night. They shouldn't put it on the menu if they didn't have it. Since we don't eat meat, there was no other option but ordering salmon. Their salad was good but smoked salmon was rather salty and seafood chowder was not hot enough. When we had salmon as main, it was overcooked and very dry. I had to drink a lot of water to swallow the overcooked salmon. I felt they don't know how to cook salmon. I NEVER recommend to order salmon there

I have enjoyed my previous brunch experiences here so I thought I would try the whole hotel experience through dine out. We booked the hotel and dinner pkg and I have to say I was disappointed with the dinner. The evening menu was not what I viewed online which was a let down. The first course was a delicious hearty soup but the salmon entree I ordered wasn't enjoyable as the prosciutto wrapped around it gave it an unappealing flavor. We only had one choice of dessert which was a creme brulee and it was quite dry for a brulee. I believe it was overwhipped and therefore I can only give the food a 3 star for the dinner.I will still be back for yummy brunch.

We tried this restaurant during 'Dine Out'. We both really enjoyed our meals. The seafood chowder was delicious with a nice variety of seafood. The serving size was large enough to be almost a meal in itself. My husband enjoyed the salmon entree while I savored a generous portion of perfectly cooked lamb chops. The creme brulee was good (although not quite the same level as the rest of the meal). Service was excellent and very accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxed but still elegant. It was moderately noisy, but only because we were seated near the lounge area which had a large, boisterous party. We would happily come here again for a date night or to entertain out of town friends. Upscale dining in Lower Lonsdale.

The food was good although the salmon was over cooked and a bit dry, no need to wrap salmon with proscuitto ,and the potato side dish was not good at all. Service was very good and the atmosphere was very nice. The seafood chowder was very good, fresh and full of flavour, but for goodness sake be a bit more generous with the bread basket, three thin slices of a baguette!

We stayed at the Pinnacle Hotel for two nights in January 2013 and ate two breakfasts, one lunch, and one dinner at The Lobby. The food was always wonderful. It was a treat to have plain Greek-style yogurt at breakfast instead of the usual vanilla that is offered at most restaurants. We had their special three course dinner and it was exceptionally delicious with interesting flavours and presentation. The service was splendid at each of our meals - very efficient and pleasant. I would definitely recommend The Lobby.

We went for the Dine Out menu and the food was excellent (only the salmon was a bit overcooked. Next time we will ask for medium rare). The seafood chowder, pork belly and the lamb chops were wonderful. The creme brule could have been a wee bit sweeter but was saffron-flavoured and delicious. They were very busy but the service was very good. I requested that the kitchen make sure my food items were gluten free and they even had gluten free toast for me while my husband got a regular basket of bread. All in all a very pleasurable evening.

The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and delicious. The salmon was slightly over done. It would be nice to see a few specialty beers on the list (we would come frequently if there was a list of Belgian beers. The village tap house at park royal has an excellent and extensive list). We went to the Pinnacle a year ago for the New Year's eve event. We loved it. The food was wonderful. It was a sit down dinner, and our group really enjoyed the evening. However, this year it was a buffet. The food was cold and not appetizing. The table that we sat at was cold. My husband had to get my coat, and I wore it throughout the dinner. We asked for our champagne early and left immediately after the New Year was rung in. I would not recommend this to anyone as long as they are doing buffets. The year before it was a standard menu, and was great.

My expectations were to enjoy a nice ambiance, Christmas decorations, white table clothes, candles and good service. I expected a chef stationed at the end of the buffet ready to carve a roast turkey and another chef carving roast beef. I expected brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes and Christmas pudding with a warm sauce to dribble over it. What we got was little to no ambiance, barely warm turkey slices in a warming tray MIXED with the gravy and the stuffing altogether, plain steamed vegetables and some basic cheesecakes. The service was poor and it felt like we were in an airport cafeteria. We will not return nor recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We have dined at the Lobby on a number of occasions, always with a good experience, so chose to go for Christmas dinner. The buffet selection was delicious and nicely presented, and the server was very pleasant. However, I was surprised to find that several tables, including ours, were actually set outside of the restaurant area and right alongside the serving area. Had I realized this would be the case when making the booking, I would have made another choice for this occasion. It was a little like being seated at the "kids'" table at Grandma's house! In fairness to the restaurant, they were making accommodations for a busy crowd on a busy evening, but it was not the experience I had anticipated. Still, we will return.

A very good birthday lunch with friends. It was 12/12/12 and we met at the restaurant at "12". We immediately ordered a glass of wine so that at exactly "12:12" we were toasting my birthday. It was fun and vibrant. The food was excellent for each of us and when the dessert menu came out we decided to share one between the 3 of us - it was a perfect ending to a perfect lunch. Then when we got our bill they "comped" the dessert for my birthday treat! All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant. I have also been for weekend brunch which was equally as good - and now I will look forward to trying their "Afternoon Tea".

Another fine lunch with attentive service and a very nice table. We visited with two out of town friends and we were able to walk the promenade in front and enjoy the historical signs, exhibits and ambiance as well as the myriad of decorated trees that flanked the sidewalk. Cranberry butter with the bread offering was a delightful treat. Easy free parking that was very easy to access. Just remember to check in at the desk with your space number.

Food was a little bit different / innovative , and was presented very well. I took my out-of-town relatives there, along with my elderly mother, and they all said it was a great choice.
