The shellfish were excellent and the music was too loud , yet the staff were willing to lower it - Thanks! My father is deaf enough as it is,so extra loud music makes it very difficult to have a conversation over dinner.

This restaurant has a terrific look, and exciting looking menu - but the ultimate result is bland, unexciting food - delivered by disinterested drone-like servers. Everything on the menu was enticing and the choices were vairied. All of the food lacked any specific flavor - not even salty, spicey, or hot - just bland. The lobster roll was bland, the cod cheeks were bland, and the fish was bland. The only thing with flavor were the fries that came with the cod cheeks Not sure if I would go back Pretty unexciting gastronomic experience.

We had a reservation and were seated on time but it was early evening. Restaurant is very noisy and we had to yell to converse. Bar is noisy, kitchen is noisy. Waitress was too attentive; felt rushed. Did not even have time to look at menu when she was taking order.

Booked table on-line for family meal out but we still had to wait at least 30 minutes as they "were behing with their reservations". People who hadn't booked had to wait atleast an hour for a table. This venue seems more focused on the bar than on the food. Next time we'll go to a larger resataurant and avoid the busy bar environment they have here....this may suit some of course.....but not with kids! The menu here was limited too.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2007

I wasn't sure what exactly what to expect at a "C" bar. Basically, it is a giant bar with a decent amount of tables including what looks like communal tables with dividers. The menu has a decent selection, but it is more of a lunch menu. I ordered from the wood-grilled section and was very pleased with my grilled sea scallops. The dozen of oysters we ordered as an appetizer were also very fresh and delicious. A nice little surprise that is not offered at any other Leagal Seafood is a white bean and pesto dip that comes with the rolls...also very good! The waitress we had was excellent, very attentive, but not overbearing. The service at the bar however, could be a little quicker with more focus on people not seated at the bar.

There was no point in having a reservation - we were sat almost an hour late.... They seemed to be frazzled by the number of people in the restaurant. We went twice for lunch and had a good lunch, but we won't be going back at night. It was out of control - they kept trying to seat us at the wrong table, so the beeper (meanwhile our reservation time came and went) kept going off, only to get to the counter and have the hostess say "oh i got the wrong table".

Very poorly managed. We had a 7:30 reservation, and when arrived were asked to wait 15 minutes, as the restaurant was packed with a 2 hr wait. When we went back to the front, again told up to another 1/2 hr wait. Bar and lobby were packed with people waiting. The hostesses seemed overwhelmed with the situation. They really shouldn't be taking reservations of they can't honro them.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2009

Not your grandma's Legals - they are trying a new concept. Food is essentially their "best sellers" - but there was plenty to choose from. My greek salad was great, the environment was fun. However, it was incredibly loud - nightclub loud. Throbbing, blasting music made it hard to have even the most basic conversation with your friends - mostly we nodded and ate, waiting to speak once we left the restaurant.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2005
    Dined on 1/9/2010
The only problem with this great restaurant in a wonderful new shopping spot is that it is crowded and even though we had 6 pm reservations, which seems quite early and we got there at 5:45 we waited until amost 6:45 to be seated. It just did not seem to benefit us by making reservations....Had we known we may have played our cards differently. The staff did seem to be doing their best, but you still feel a little suspicious when you don't get to seat for an hour after the reservations...it's not like it was 7:30!

We had a bit of a seating snafu at the start, being sat right at the entrance on what was a very chilly night. So we ended up sitting at the "Kitchen" Bar. Which was really fun and interesting to watch the staff at work. Food was great, service was great. Lobster Bisque had a ton of fresh lobster, the Wedge Salad was terrific, and the White Bean Dip with bread was also a highlight. My partner had the Crab Roll and it is piled high with a lot of very well prepared, not over seasoned crab, and I had the Tuesday night dinner special, Cioppino. For $21.95 you got a ton of fresh seafood, including a giant Lobster Claw, Scallops, Shrimp, White Fish, Clams & Mussels. It was out of this world.

The food and service were outstanding. Did not care for the seating arrangement -- small, narrow table which required us to sit side-by-side. For this baby boomer married couple, the singles scene and people watching were of little interest. We would have preferred a quieter setting conducive to conversation.
