Have dined at this location several times before for special events. This time around was our wedding anniversary and they made it special. I notified them through the easy to use online reservation form that it was our anniversary. When we arrived there was a card on the table for us and they completed our meal with various chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to toast...all on the house. They are also very kid friendly and the kids will enjoy doing some cooking of their own. The meal selections for the kids are great as well. The staff was very friendly and made us feel special and right at home.

We went out for my mom's birthday, most of us not having been before. After almost a $300 bill, this is without drinks, we were a little shocked. You cook your own food and have to pay greatly to do so. Good to try out, for a special occasion, we will not be returning often. Our waiter Andrew was awesome though!

The dessert was fantastic! We had the strawberry shortcake fondue. Love, love, loved it! All 4 of us enjoyed this course the best. Will definitely return for dessert. We had the cheddar cheese fondue for our starter. It wasn't great but an okay choice. Second course was the salad. I was very disappointed with the salad. It was tasty but very small. I wouldn't recommend ordering a salad unless you choose the four course option and it came with the meal. Overall a mice night out.

    Dined on 4/24/2014
Don't go! Overpriced not so good food that you cook yourself. Entire meal for 4 was $165. I could have made all of this for about $20-25 at home. Total gimmick and waste if money. If you are going to spend this much money, go to a restaurant that cooks for you and gives you portions that won't have you leaving hungry. You are not a 4-5 star concept. Reduce your price. Stop the pretense. It's fondue. It should be fun not stuffy. Reduce your prices and you will fill a lot more tables.

My kids (19 & 23) had never had fondue before. I took advantage of Seattle Restaurant Week and took them to try it. From the time we sat down, the waitstaff was very friendly. We ordered a cheese fondue to start, even though it wasn't part of the deal. It was a nice start. Salads came next and were just ok.. Greens were somewhat wilted. We ordered the sirloin, chicken and prawns entree. It was a good mix and all in all a nice experience. The kids mentioned that they felt like they were on vacation, having a nice leisure dinner. We had a very enjoyable time!

Food - great! I hadn't had fondue for mega-moons and I wasn't particularly thinking that sticking pieces of bread into hot cheese would be particulary fun or appetizing. But, the setup and presentation was great and the cheeses weren't just Velveeta...and with the oils for the entrees and the chocalate for th dessert...and the foods that went into it all...again, it was great! Service - It is hard to imagine it could have been better.

    Dined on 4/5/2014
Hi, I already wrote a "comment" email directly to the Melting Pot, but I received this "feedback request" after. Basically, our burner wasn't working and our food wasn't cooking properly. I understand that happens, but we're not that experienced with fondue and it took us a while to figure that out. I feel our waiter should have checked on us a little more frequently to see how we were doing. Once he dropped off the cheese or the cooking broth, we didn't see much of him As it was, we made it through half our meal (cheese course and half the meat course...struggling with undercooked meat) before we figured out that it wasn't working right. When we were expecting such a great experience, the result left us feeling disappointed

We came for my birthday dinner and were very disappointed with the food. Our cheese fondue was gritty, bread stale, and the main course was just o.K. The wait staff was nice, and the dessert was great. Needless to say, for $150 we won't be doing the 4 course meal again.

We hadn't been to the Melting Pot in quite a while, and it was the first time for our kids (ages 11, 12). The server was great, explained the menu and service very well. It is a quiet place (Bellevue location), and we were there on a weeknight. As we were eating all courses, the kids kept saying how great it was, that this was the best restaurant ever, and "why haven't we been here before?!?!". Needless to say, dinner (and especially dessert) was a big hit with all of us. We especially loved the "loaded baked potato" cheese fondue appetizer and the S'mores dessert course. Yummm!!! We left in great spirits, with some leftover food, and look forward to coming back again. Thank you!!!

My husband took me to the Melting Pot for our 7th anniversary. It was the first time for both of us...and it was amazing! We had a great meal at the Bellevue location last Sunday evening. The food was delicious. We each had the 4 course meal and thoroughly enjoyed every course. Our server, Devin, was fantastic. He was very friendly and offered suggestions when we were a little undecided on what selections to make. He was also very accommodating when our daughter couldn't decide what flavor lemonade she wanted - he combined them all for her!

We have been to the melting pot in Bellevue several times and usually enjoy our visit. However, I was really disappointed by the service. My wife and I came here with my parents for my wife's birthday. When asked questions about the menu, the server was rude and condescending. After not really answering our questions, she disappeared for about 15 minutes before coming back to check on us and take our order. After clearing our cheese fondue, she brought out everything to cook our main course but then didn't bring out the meat for another 20 minutes! We tried to get her attention several times but we were ignored. Again, this was uncommon for this location but we will not be coming back because who knows what kind of service we will get.

Cheese fondue, tiny salad, hot pot, chocolate fondue. That's the four course menu. The food is great, but this isn't a watch your waistline menu. The salad was very good and way to small. This is a lot of fun for a special dinner (we were celebrating a birthday) but I wouldn't drop by regularly.

The service staff really dropped the ball this time. We have been several times over the years, to this same location, and for some reason whenever they removed a plate, they would set the fork, or knife or whatever utensil on the table, there were some small plates, 3x3 not sure what they were for, but they could have left those with the fork or whatever placed on it. Then toward the end of dinner they removed the hot fondue pot without placing the protective lid on it.... moving it over my fathers head, not very safe.

Always loved fondue style. Took our son here for his 7th birthday, he loved it - it was "fun to cook his own food". I can recommend that when there are children to pick up the pace a little if you can. Kids aren't very patient so between the courses just get things going. It was great though. Only thing, it says "Kids menu upon request" on the menu, however the server said one has NOT been available for five years! For our little 7 year old "bird eater" it was $30, and my adult meal was only $40. His $12 kids plate was no big deal, but to also charge the $8.95/pp for the cheese course (which he didn't touch) and the pp cost for adult dessert was a little outrageous. Maybe for 12 and up, but not young ones :( You lost us there guys

This was our first visit to the Melting Pot and we (me and my husband) thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and service was outstanding. Don't expect to get in and out there quickly. The food and ambiance are made to be savored and not rushed. The fondue is not the fondue I remember from the 1970s! Much better and varied. Service was outstanding and friendly. Will definitely return again, but this time won't order so much food -- I was full for a day afterwards!
