The experience was very satisfying and we left pleased. that being said my meal of SEA BASS with nocci and such was not all that hot. the fish had been over cooked and slightly "fishy". Too crispy on the top as though stuck in the broiler and forgotten! My wife's Filet was slightly over cooked as well. She had ordered "medium rare and received "well done". We are not the kind to return the meal for these mistakes as that would make the experience less fun.

Warm, comfortable setting. Attentive service. The Chappino was served in a large bowl with an excellent variety of sea food. The beet salad was crisp and delicious. Other mentioned that the sea food tasted fresh and well prepared. We never felt rushed and had a very enjoyable evening.

We had a nice family dinner here. There are enough families here from the resort that I wouldn't say it is romantic, but it is beautiful. The food was very good. There was a small mistake in our dinner, but they quickly fixed it and we're very apologetic. Service was very good. Wine list is decent in volume, but the vintage isn't shown and the year produced for our order was from the worst vintage in last 10 years. I'm sure you could probe more though and find some gems in the moderate size list as they seem willing to please. We never felt rushed at all in our window seat - very relaxing. Overall, very good experience.

Our Valentines Day/Anniversary was fantastic. The fixed menu (soup or salad, entree, and dessert) offered had a wonderful selection for all tastes. We both selected the Surf and Turf. We both agreed that it was the most tender and tasty meal we've had in a very long time. Getting a rose handed to my wife when entering was a nice touch. We're making this a Valentine date for next year.

A good brunch menu selection that offers choices beyond egg dishes. Omelet was too dry and browned for my taste and the sides (country fried potatoes and toast) were boring. The gorgeous view makes it special for out-of-town visitors.

Great get away for families and couples alike. Venue is away from the busy hussle and bussle of city. Great view of the ocean, close access to a beach and free parking (all included in the resort fee). Free ride from your room to/from restaurant to/from beach; if you decide to stay at the resort also. Keep in mind location is far abit away from a chain grocery store or strip mall, but here is a local coern store/market and other small shops close by if you do need something. If you order from the kids menu, you get a sand bucket to play on the beach :) Was a first time diner (got a free egg roll for me and my husband) and com'd our dessert because it was his b'day dinner also. Not an ultra fancy place, but very comfortable.

We went there for a small christmas party. It was a weekday in the winter, so the restaurant was quiet. Just a few diners. We had the Four-Course special. It was fantastic. The chef cooked everything to perfection. The wine selection that went with the meal was excellent. Service was so good. Friendly, but not intrusive. Great Job Sanderlings. I will be recommending you to all my friends.

The food was not good. We went for the Thanksgiving buffet and the turkey was dry and they ran out of one of the desserts I was eyeing all night. I stopped by the dessert table at 7:30pm, which is during the peak hour, and the pumpkin roll was already all gone; i even asked the waiter to bring out more dessert and he said it was gone. All in all, I expected more from a high end resort.

After looking at several restaurants I decided on Sanderlings for a weekday date night with my husband. Although it was Lobster night we decided on the 4 Course Meal which included a bite size appetizer, a salad, choice of 2 entrees, dessert and a glass of wine. We chose 1 of each, Filet Mignon with Prawns and the King Salmon, so we could share. The food was amazing, everything was cooked pefectly. Absolutely delicious! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect!

Did a getaway @ seascape to celebrate our wedding anniversary and hubby's bday. We requested a table with a view and our request was acknowledged. Dinner was lovely, desserts were fabulous! We had a loud couple behind us, so i think the tables could have been a bit further apart... but once they left, it was fine. Sanderlings is perfectly situated with beautiful view of the trees - looked magnificent with the sunset and splash of color ... it was a wonderful dinner. Breakfast was scrumptious too! Their eggs benedict was devine!

I ordered the salmon with the lemon sauce that the scampi indicated on the menu. I must have thrown the cook a curve as it the sauce had no lemon flavor at all. The sauce was too thin to adhere to the pasta, it tasted more like a broth with no flavor that I could describe and had plum tomatos in it which was what the menu indicated for the scampi preparation which seems odd to me. Everyone else in my group of 5 loved their meals. I think they all ordred beef either prime rib or skirt steak.

Food is fine but nothing special unless you order a nightly special. They got rid of their veggie pot pie which was outstanding and replaced it with a so so lasagna. Also used to have mac nut brownie sundae served warm and new brownie was dry and made with walnuts. Creme brule is very good. Service is usually good at dinner and bad at lunch. Best clam chowder I have ever had. Overall good value for the money.

But! the last two times we came were absolutely fantastic! Food is very, very good. Service wonderful. And they still make the best lemon drops in town (that has always been the case), with new a fresh cocktail offerings that are top notch. Kudos to the chef and staff for making this a new desirable destination for us in our own neighborhood.

Sanderling's is located at the Seascape Resort. We ordered both a lunch and a breakfast from room service, and the food, which was plentiful, was very good. We ate dinner in the restaurant, and were seated at a corner window table with a view to the sea. Both my husband and I ordered the Lobster Thermidor, which came with a choice of soup or salad, and we had one of each. The clam chowder was good, if a bit thick for my taste, and the house salad was nondescript. On the plate with the Lobster were A LOT of roasted new potatoes and some steamed asparagus, both of which were well prepared. However, the Lobster Thermidor, was a bit of a disappointment...much more bread than lobster, and a bit overcooked and dry. Tasty creme brulee for dessert.

Sanderlings has always been my favorite restaurant, even if it is true that I live in San Jose. It is really a first class establishment where I think that the Hiring Manager knows how to hire people who are very good at what they do. Honestly, I have been coming to eat at Sanderlings ever since 1992. I have always had a wonderful experience every single time that I have come to eat there. I consider Sanderlings to be a special occasion restaurant where I know that my guests and I will be treated to a first class experience. One very unique thing about the Seascape Conference Hotel and Sanderlings Restaurant, is that everything about it is meticulously maintained and exceptionally clean. Top choice for a wonderful experience.

Servers should inform guests if theyare going to split food, that there is a charge of $2.00 for splitting. Just nice to know. Also, I was told that if I booked for dinner on-line, that we would get $6.00 off per person which we did not get. No one seemed to know anything about this. Waited 25 minutes for water/bread.We asked a serve who was our waiter, when he pointed out a gentleman folding napkins at another table. He huffed/puffed then came over. My husband requested that we order the appetizers and entrees right now. The waiter responded sarcastically stating that he would first bring out appetizers, then salad, then entree. When the waiter left we asked another server if he our waiter was new, he said no he has been around for a while. Received well-done prime rib NOT medium, our credit card was charged 8 times! Only told this error after leaving, still three days later $1300 on hold on my account. We were never told when we left $200 would be $1300 - I use to LOVE this place! Hopefully this waiter LEAVES!!!

The service at sanderlings is notably poor, both bottles of wine we ordered were unavailable and the waiter complained about the managers competency to us. We waitEd 30 minutes for wine and appetizers and 45 min to begin ordering meals. The reason to go to sanderlings is the sunset view ONLY. It is an incredible view. Too bad the service doesn't reflect the beauty.

My family was vacationing in Santa Cruz and went to Sanderlings on a Wednesday night. Although the service was fair, they raved about the food, so we made a reservation for Saturday night as well, when more of us had arrived. The service was very bad. Not attentive, lack of professionalism, the waiter was not friendly nor hospitable. We had to send my mom's steak back for being underdone to her liking. It was returned slightly re-seared, with an additional pad of butter thrown on top-still underdone. We had to call the manager to our table as our waiter was simply not attentive. The rest of our meals were very good but the service overshadowed the service experience for the price. It was not worth me returning.
