Presentations are excellent and the menu is well planned and balanced. The salads are a bit larger than they need to be. The pumpkin-mushroom soup is worth the trip any time of the year.

Went for V. Day. The rose at the end of dinner was a nice touch. One of the better Manhattans before my meal too. Wife liked it a lot too. Glad we found this place!

My husband and I really enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner at The Backburner. The famous pumpkin mushroom soup lived up to our expectations, and the caesar salad was delicious and unique in its cheese tortilla bowl. Our entrees (Chilean sea bass with risotto and rack of lamb with asparagus and mashed potatoes) were outstanding, . The pinot noir suggested by our waiter paired perfectly with both of our dishes. For dessert, we shared a decadent molten chocolate cake, which was served with amazing vanilla ice cream. As a sweet final touch, they gave roses to all of the female diners.

Wonderful Valentines Day dinner. It is a quiet intimate restuarant. Enjoyed a nice background music. Very good food in just the right portions. Highly recommended for an evening dinner.

Loved the artichoke and spinach dip and, of course, the pumpkin mushroom soup. Crab cakes were very good and the filet mignon was excellent. Cooked just right. Our server, Diana, was excellent and had a great sense of humor. The four of us go out once a month together and we will be sure to go back.
