I've eaten dinner at Plant several times and have enjoyed the food each time. I like sitting in outdoor are closer to water (protected w/plastic and heaters when cold.) This time we ate inside at tall bar stools at main shared table, was fine. I had Quinoa bowl with tofu - good - a little salty. Dessert of bread pudding with sea salt caramel was delicious. Overall good experience. Only complaints are the music - smooth jazz/sax the entire time was god awful and almost ruined the night. Other complaint was they wouldn't serve us coffee with dessert because they said "coffee service was closed!" (at 9:45) Other complaint was that they were mopping the floor and cleaning up around us before we were finished (around 10) which felt rude.

Begin with beautifully prepared scallops with a luscious aioli - so nice. Then enjoy well prepared flavorful duck breast on creamy polenta. But my friend's beet, mushroom, lentil and bulgur wheat veggie burger was omg over the top INCREDIBLE. A must try.

We ordered the tasting menu which turned out to be very tiny. There was soup (cold) and "lasagna" also cold. The food was okay. Not outstanding, but very expensive for what it was. Don't go there if you're hungry.

This is the second time I have eaten here. On both occasions, the hostess was efficient but not welcoming. Overall, the food was good, our waitress was helpful, but this time, our service was very slow. Several of our dishes arrived cold, one of our dishes was order late and one of our dishes had ingredients different from what was listed on the menu. The food was tasty, but not outstanding. The wait staff was insufficient to handle the number of people.

The Plant Cafe has a wonderful outdoor space with a beautiful view of the waterfront. The restaurant has a lot of vegetarian options and a great selection of healthy juices. The plant burger is great. The cocktails have quit interesting combination; my friend had one with kombucha which she said was yummy.

I met a college friend who I hadn't seen for 20 years at the Plant Café - perfect place - close to the Ferry, hotels, excellent healthy menu. I'm vegan and the choices were fantastic - and fantastically priced. I initially thought we should meet at Greens, but this was way more convenient and affordable and easy for all of us to get to, coming from different directly.

I went to lunch with 3 friends during the work week. The service was fast so that we were able to get back to the office within an hour or so of arriving. I think we felt a little rushed even. We set at a great outdoor table. We all enjoyed our food, but two of my friends ordered the soup/sandwich lunch combo and both wished there had been more sandwich they enjoyed it so much.

I love the food and the atmosphere at Plant Cafe Organic, where vegans and omnivores can eat in harmony. I'm a little put off by the attitude, though. With numerous tables open, some folks who came in while we were waiting for our (reserved) table were told there was a 20-minute wait. Why? I also take issue with any restaurant that won't seat me until the entire party arrives. And the table service was only mediocre. Wish they would improve the overall customer care, but I'll keep going back no matter what 'cause the food is so dang good.

We've been to Plant Cafe for lunch / brunch in the past but never dinner. This was a first but definitely won't be the last. Our server was terrific and very helpful. We all ordered different dishes and no one was disappointed. The quinoa bowl I had was superb. Only complaint is having to leave restaurant to find a restroom which turned out to be closed for cleaning a number of times over a 3 hour period.

Food was only mediocre -- nothing was very tasty -- and the service was the worst I've had in quite some time. We had a dull, indifferent waiter who took about 15 minutes to bring the water we'd requested, another 20 to take our order and another 20 minutes after that to place our order with the kitchen (which I know because he came back to our table to confirm it, even though he had appeared to be writing it down when he took it). When I gave him my credit card to pay, he had it for 10 minutes before bringing it back to the table, having "stacked" three receipts for different tables and looking unsure which table got which receipt/credit card after he'd run the tabs. First day on the job, perhaps? I sure hope so.

We chose The Plant - Cafe Organic for a special lunch as part of an anniversary celebration. We didn't want something over-the-top with tons of food and richness we didn't need -- just some place that served the right amount of healthy great food that didn't make you feel like you overdid it at the end. We chose the right place. I had the tasty, light duck confit pizza and my wife had the stuffed peppers. Simple. Great. Just right. Just a little wait for a patio table right on the Bay. Friendly attentive staff. Could have used wi fi in the restaurant.

So many waterfront restaurants are tourist oriented and some are not very good. It's often tough to find a good restaurant with varied food options that isn't overly expensive in or near the Financial District. This restaurant is a great choice to overcome those challenges. The menu is varied and has options for everybody--all very healthy choices. The prices are very reasonable. The service is incredibly efficient and friendly. This restaurant is a great choice along the waterfront right next to the Financial District, close to MUNI and BART. I hope that it stays around for a long time.

We picked the once a year evening in San Francisco when the weather is over 80F and sat outside with a view of the Bay. One of us is Vegan and we had picked the restaurant for its menu offering. We shared the hummus plate and kale salad. I had the spicy curry, one of us had pizza and other the vegetarian burger. All very good. We finished with the chocolate and non-cheese cheesecake - very tasty. This was all very fresh with well balanced spices and made for a very enjoyable dinner. I arrived late but others had a drink at the full bar. The wine list by the glass was very depleted that evening - the only off note.

Food was delicious, service could have been slightly more attentive, but we didn't mind too much b/c we were busy socializing. It was just hard to get someone's attention (at least 10 mins) when one of our friends arrived late and wanted to order food & bev. I'd love to sit on the outside terrace and get a better sense of the view and being on the water. I guess we'll have to try again during warmer months. It's nice to have a healthy dinner and not feel too guilty about what we're eating. It's the first time I've ever seen a table of women all order their OWN desserts (instead of sharing!).

I am gluten and lactose intolerant, so finding a restaurant that can accommodate my food sensitivities without much fuss is a welcome thing. Plant Cafe has many items for me to choose from, all beautifully prepared and very good. My friends without such issues also enjoyed the salads and fresh juice. I made a reservation, and my guests showed up 15 minutes late. When two thirds of us had arrived, the host said he could not seat incomplete parties. But he also said he had another group schedule to sit at our table at 7, which made me anxious the entire time that someone would give us the boot! That little exchange was rather irritating. Our server was wonderful though--polite and patient with a group of indecisive women.
