    We thoroughly enjoyed the menu and our food selections. However, prices were high. We were particularly surprised that the 1/2 filet and 1/2 lobster item was priced at $50.00 of which our waiter did not inform us. Each item individually priced was in the mid-$30 so it was not anticipated that there would be a 50% premium on the combo. Vermillion is truly a unique and enjoyable restaurant in the midst of so many steakhouses!

    Most unusual combination of cusines. Have eaten there several times in last few years. Took friend from Edinburgh for dinner, wanting to show her the creative and unusual side of the Chicago dining scene and were not dissappointed. We ended up choosing three appetizers and a dessert each. All were superb, from the ceviche to the chili flavored mussels to the coconut sauce on the artichokes.

    Ate from the tapas menu, had one of everything. Everything was good, some dishes where excellent, but my one criticism was that by the end the flavors became overwelming. Maybe a secound plate cleanser would have been nice

    Everything was memorable and outstanding... excellent flavor combinations delivered with excellent service. From the chili & pear cocktail, to the appetizers, and main course... all delightful. There were three of us, each with a different entree; the flavors of each were unique, and we savored every bite.

    The food was excellent so was the service. it was a memorable evening for us and they made it very special for us. we would definitely go back there and share the experience with our friends. would recommend it to couples celebrating something special.
