Very much enjoyed this restaurant. It seems to strive to be authentically Italian. Best pasta outside of Italy in the greater Boston area. Wonderful Negroni. Great service. On our list of favorites. We are recommending it to friends.

We have been to La Morra several times, each trip a delight. The place has a nice "buzz" to it, and the food is fantastic! (Their Sunday brunch is also extremely good and nicely priced.) The waitstaff is very attentive and pleasant. What's also special about the place is that you'd never know you were on Rte 9. I only wish the non-valet parking was a bit easier -- but it's well worth the effort. Each time we go, good stuff happens that keeps us coming back.

We went on Easter Sunday - the menu was fantastic. They informed us that there were two venison specials left- two of our guests took those!!! EVERYTHING was delicious, came out of the kitchen hot&steaming, presentation was superb, the bread was THE best (and most of us have stopped eating bread but we made an exception on Easter and b/c La Morra's bread and cheese spread (?) butter(?) were soooo good. The six of us decided to share the apple crisp dessert and our fabulous waitperson brought out the sorbet sampler as an extra treat b/c she didn't think the apple crisp would stretch far enough!!! We were IMPRESSED-we had been there before during '07 Rest.Wk & while we enjoyed the food, the place was too noisy & service too slow. Thank YOU

My ratings above pertain to brunch on Easter. The food was good, but some portions (three slices of lamb?) were a little bit light. We've gone for dinner at La Morra on several occasions and loved it. The fixed price menus on holidays are always a treat.

We have been to La Morra many times and have never been disappointed. The mixed drinks are amazing and the the Italian style tapas appetizers are all great. The entrees are a good size and the bread comes with a delicious ricotta/olive oil mixture for spreading. The owners are always there and are so friendly. We love LaMorra, as have every friend we have introduced to it.

We had a great time at La Morra - we sat downstairs, which was a little noisy but not unpleasant. The service was really excellent, the pacing was quite relaxed, not too slow or too fast. One of us got the wines paired with the restaurant week menu, and they were quite good - especially the moscato with the dessert course. The food was also quite good - we enjoyed the whole experience and definitely plan to return there. It's a little noisy to qualify for "romantic" but is a lot of fun. Restaurant week was a great value, but they have a $35 prix fixe regularly that is close to the same deal. There was a ton of choice, and we did not mind that some items had small surcharges since there were so many choices that did not.

As far as the food is concerned, La Morra is an exceptional find. Reasonable prices paired with fresh, creative ingredients makes for mouth watering fare. The meals are nicely proportioned so you do not feel guilty, our sick, from finishing your plate. Sauces were well made and did not have a heavy oil base. Where they lost points was on the finer service details. Keep in mind it was restaurant week so the staff was flat out. Here our my service specific complaints: 1) We were seated next to a very drafty window were decorative pillows were poorly used in an attempt to stop the draft, 2) Our pre-meal cocktails came out after our first course/wine combo, 3) One of the side dishes for the main course was incorrect, and the grand finale was my

I went for resturant week and this was a memorable experience. The food was outstanding. Unlike other restaurants, the fixed priced menu had at least five options for each of the four courses provided. Each dish beautifully complimented the next. La Morra is definitely worth trying. We parked on a side street but there is valet available at the front door.

We enjoyed our meal and the Restaurant Week choices. I had the pork chop entree, which was a good size portion, but the least impressive of the courses. It was a little bland. I really enjoyed the arugula salad, and the penne with porcini cream was out of this world! Thank you-

I've been to "La Morra" four times and I like it a lot. Their biggest flaw is that they have a lot of hidden costs and they don't always make it clear that there's a less expensive appetizer size for many of their entrees. Twice I've had situations where I was being charged more than I had expected by looking at the menu. I was there for Restaurant Week and I had never seen a RW menu where so many items cost an extra $7. I think the food is excellent and the ambiance very pleasant -- I just wish they were less sneaky about their prices.

We were a bit disappointed that we could only order from the set restaurant week menu at the set price. Being in the week some of us would have preferred a smaller offering. Suggestion is that they allow people to order ala-carte from the restaurant menu - that way they do not have to prepare additional dishes.

Forget the North End! If you want excellent Italian food, head to Brookline. You will save yourself the traffic and parking headaches, and you will receive a superior dinner at a reasonable price. Try the wine flight with the prix fixe menu - what a treat! La Morra has genuine Italian food - small portions for each course the way they eat in Italy. Restaurant week was memorable with their special wine pairing menu. Can be a bit noisy and tables are somewhat close together, but the ambiance and lighting are nice. They have a drink called the Merchant of Venice - pomegranate and prosecco are involved- that's light and bubbly and delicious.
