the food is great, but we had problems getting the correct drink orders, and 2 of us ordered the same plate, one came with a fruit bowl and the other did not. they ended up giving us the wrong drinks for free, so that was a nice gesture that helped. we would definitely go there again.

  • I asked my wife if she would

I asked my wife if she would return to this restaurant and she said "No". I agree with her and this is why: 1. Our table was on the lower floor abutting a blank wall with a dim sconce light. I felt claustrophobic. 2. We ordered Bloody Marys. When our food arrived, we had to remind our server to bring them. They should have arrived way before our food. 3. The serving size of the seared Ahi was so small, my wife and her sister who are both light eaters had to supplement their meal with the rest of my brother-in-law's toast.

  • We did not go into the restaurant

We did not go into the restaurant but fields above were required so I had to fill in something above so you would get this feedback. There were 3 doors into the restaurent and we could not get into any of them. The one facing the street has a very unsightly Open/close neon sign light. Our first impression was not too good, to say the least. After not being able to get in, we walked around to the neon sign again and peered in and found only one table occupied on a Tues night and it didn't bode well. This is the first time we have not completed a reservation.

Food was ok. Not a place I'll probably go back too. Seems to be overpopulated by the over 50, established wealth, and unenthused with their life crowd. Looks like it was decorated by my grandmother in 1984 or so.

It was unnerving because we were practically the only ones there on a Sunday brunch time, when the Egg Shop next door was jam packed. But the food was very good. I would give the place another try for lunch or dinner before being spooked away for good. I really couldn't figure out why the place was empty.

  • We had Mother's Day brunch
    OpenTable Diner Since 2009
    Dined on 5/11/2008
We had Mother's Day brunch buffet and everyone was very pleased, even my girls who can be picky eaters sometimes. Our waitress was very attentive, but not overly so. The wait staff were all smiles and compliments. My only recommendation would be to put up a better sign for where the front entrance is. We had trouble discovering which door was their front door and when my mom and I were talking about it, the table next to us overheard and commented they had the same quandry. I would definitely go again (especially now that I know where the front door is!)

Restaurant was not crowded but were we seated very close to another party of 4. Didn't understand why and we probably should have asked for a quieter location. Cobb salad was excellent and desserts were good. Excellent wait staff service.

The Wine list is unbelievable. A gathering of the finest wines from Opus to very rare BV's. The Bistro is a foodies dream. Chef Vortiede and his beautiful wife Katherine are just incredible people. They make the dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for everything and we will see you at your next "Monday Night" Tasting. Sincerely, Bill Sugiyama

We had a wonderful dining experience here with husband and well-behaved 4 year old. Food was delicious; perfect setting for a special occasion. Cozy dining area, so conversations from neighboring tables (especially a larger group) can sometimes be overheard. (By the end of the evening, daughter was asking, "Can I talk now and be loud like the other table?") Overall an A+ experience, we'll definitely come back! Thanks to Open Table, I'm so glad we found this place!
