We had a birthday discount which we received online. I would think that the one celebrating the birthday would receive the discount. However, the discount was the cheapest dinner. Not one to complain but the birthday dinner (within reason) should be On The House. Experience was wonderful and my wife and I had a fantastic dinner and the best service around.

My girlfriend was visiting from Texas, when i decided to reserve a table for us. This was the perfect place for our last night date. It is on the high end price wise, but it was all worth it. We were seated in a great booth, no one was near us so it gave us time to talk without worrying about others. The food was outstanding and my girlfriend loved it. She has never really been to an up scale place like this, and now I'm going to have to take her out to these places more often. She was impressed by the service, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. She loved the food, and the bottle of wine I selected. Can't wait for her to come back, so we can make another visit to Shula's

My daughter and I took my wife to Shula's 347 for her birthday. I ordered the Tuna with seasonal vegitable and mashed potato. My meal was excellent. My daughter order a steak that was extremely tough. Her side orders were good but I have had better steaks at 1/3 the cost. My wfe ordered the filet mignon which was burnt. Admittedly, she ordered it well done and even suggested to the Chef to butterfly it if needed. Also, the texture was mush similar to putting a lot of meat tenderizer on it. We had to request refills for our tea and water more than once These three meals with 2 drinks from the bar and one desert was $166 which I expected to pay. No problem with the price but I expected the service and food to reflect the cost of the meal.

We arrived early and it was busy, so we had to wait in lobby. However when it was our reservation time we were seated. The table was a quieter round booth, one of two rather than a table on the main floor area. It was wonderful. All of the staff was very pleasant and attentive. Would return again and ask for same table. The cheesecake dessert was extremely good. I will use open table for more bookings now!

Wonderful overall experience. Made my husband's birthday celebration very special! Drinks, appetizer and entrees were outstanding. Our waiter was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Shula's is quite and a very classy restaurant. Several staff greeted us and a Happy Birthday plaque was placed on our table. Loved the crab cakes appetizer and the filet migons we ordered for our entrees were to perfection.

We called ahead several days in advance for a reservation, but were put in a high traffic area next to the bar. The bartender was our server. The scallop appetizer was quite good, but the steak was actually way too salty. It was cooked properly and seemed a good, if not great, piece of beef. Overall, I find Shulas to be a sports bar masquerading as a very expensive restaurant. If it wants to be an upscale restaurant, treat its customers better and get rid of the sports bar atmosphere. If it wants to be a sports bar, then lower the prices.

We went to Shula's to celebrate our anniversary. Everything leading up to our arrival was great: they confirmed my reservation, the valet at Hotel Duval was excellent on a busier night and when we arrived, our table had a plaque that said "Happy Anniversary". Our server was new and forgot to visit our table several times. When describing the specials of the evening he referred to a vegetable as "like French Green beans." I don't have an issue with layman's terms being used at Outback, but at $42/plate I was expecting a little more training and finesse. My steak took "longer than normal" to cook and it was alright. I would definitely recommend the pecan-crusted salmon, it was delicious! The hostesses were pleasant and atmosphere lively.

Steaks were delicious; great flavor and cooked perfectly to temperature, including my wife's steak - who prefers it overcooked. Baked potato was good, but generally unremarkable. Mac and cheese and grilled asparagus both very disappointing. Cheesecake was divine. Pecan pie was done flambeau style, which was a mistake. Ruined it. All and all, overpriced for the product ambiance combination. Better values in the area, in my opinion My first time to Shula's and my next will be another special occasion, make that VERY special occasion.

In August, we had an excellent dinner here, when we celebrated our anniversary. The experience was just the opposite for Thanksgiving. The service was still very good, but the Thanksgiving plate was mediocre. The green bean casserole was evidently made with frozen green beans that were undercooked for these Southerners. The turkey was overcooked. We will order off the menu next time.

Could not have been any better. From the greeter to the bill service, everything was faultless and well executed. First off our waiter, Nicco was the consummate professional and gave sublime service throughout the evening. Then the food was spot-on from my wife's burger to my cowboy steak, done exactly to my specification of medium rare - which is hard to accomplish evenly throughout the cut. Afterwards Nicco recommended that we should opt for the flaming Grand Marnier sauce to top the chocolate pecan pie - SUBERB!!! Without hesitation I would recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends.

Very nice place for a special occasion like birthday or anniversary. Very attentive staff (almost but not quite too attentive). And the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. You can probably fine steaks as good for a lot less, but, as I said, good for a special occasion. If you go to this location (Tallahassee) be sure to have a before dinner drink at the 8th floor of the hotel (not connected to Shula's); great view and great prices during happy hour.

Appart from the stellar ambience, which is apparent right when one walks into the restaurant, the food lives up to the view. Seating is appropriately spaced out, with comfortable seating. Despite the high comfort level, it is the food that impresses. Although a bit expensive, it is worth the while of saving up.

This was the first time my wife and dined at Shula's. We were celebrating my recent 64th birthday. I had the crab cakes. Best I've ever had, and I grew up on the Gulf Coast and lived along it all my life, except for my four years in the Navy, so I know good seafood. There was no filler in the crab cake...pure chunks of crab meat. Sides were very good too. My wife had sea scallops. They didn't have much flavor. She had grilled asparagus tree trunks as one of her sides. They were tough and under cooked. I had the bourbon pecan pie with ice cream for dessert. Its to die for. Our server was outstanding.

The list above doesn't include a recommendation for the food. It should. The Shula filet is the most delicious, tender and finest cut of beef I have ever eaten. The first time I tasted one was in 1992 at the Shulas in Miami Lakes. If you want to experience the flavor of the best steak you will ever eat, I highly recommend you try the Shulas' filet. I have eaten many since that first time years ago. They continue to meet the expectations of Coach Shula to deliver the perfect dining experience.

The food was good but was way to expensive My wife had scallops and they were so small that at first I thought they brought a free appetizer. I had the steak diane. Not as good as Ruth Chris steak house, but it will do for Tallahassee. If you want a damn good steak with great service for regular people go to the Pond House in Bainbridge GA,now that's a place to eat.

The sides were great, especially the seasonal veggies. The food was very good. We had excellent service in the waiter told us all about any specials that we're currently going on such as the bone in steak. Me and my wife were going out for a special date, and it would have been nicer if the seating would have been a bit more romantic. I was seated in a chair and she was seated on a bench and we were quite some distance from each other but we're very close to the two people on either side of us. Although the steak was very good I have had steaks from other places at a lot cheaper prices that were equally as good.
