Unless you want to shell out for Frasca or Flagstaff, this is THE best place for a (close to) fine dinning experience. For the price, the food is outstanding and the service is usually excellent.

The entire crew at the Kitchen made my engagement night dinner great! From the table seating, to the wonderful service they did a great job! Our server was wonderful in ever respect, and the dessert they brought us topped the evening off! The food was perfect and the rib I was perfect for both of us.

Service above and beyond. Food was good but not outstanding. Sticky toffee pudding was sublime. We got comped drinks since we waited 30 minutes past our reservation for our table. Would have loved some hot grilled fresh bread instead of a stale cold loaf after the wait. Lovely restaurant and worth a visit.

We had reservations for 6:30pm. At about 4:30pm that day we had a family mishap and found ourselves scrambling to be there our reservation time. I called to let them know we would probably be late, and they responded with sincerity and accommodated our needs. We had a fantastic experience!

after reading the reviews I was excited about trying this restaurant. While the food was okay it was no means good. Two of our dishes had too many capers on them (e.g., a half a jar). It ruined the dishes. The other dish, lamb sirloin, was unexciting and rather tough. I'll admit I'm a foodie and I expect a lot when I go to a nice ($$) restaurant. The Kitchen was very disappointing.

The biggest problem with this restaurant is that in the fall/winter people at the front tables freeze every time the door opens. This is very disagreeable. I won't be back unless they will guarantee a table further to the rear of the restaurant. The food was lovely. The service was excellent. I prefer the downtown Denver location because of the ambiance and the fact that nobody gets frozen when people come in and out.

This is a very nice place with a super friendly staff. The food was really basic, and maybe even rustic food but done very well. I was a bit disappointing by desert, it was just cream whipped with strawberries in it and little pieces of cake, nothing you could not whip up at home in 10 minutes. Other than that it was very high quality ingredients with attention to detail.

My husband and I came to The Kitchen to celebrate our 1 year wedding and 7 year "first meeting" anniversaries. We were given a $100 gift card by dear friends of ours, and I was excited to finally try the place. Going out for my husband and I is a WHOLE experience. It isn't JUST about the food. The place feels comfortable, special, even fancy without being pretentious. Had a wonderful waiter who was genuinely friendly and attentive. He also laughed at our stupid jokes. The portion sizes may appear small, but the quality of the food is superb and therefore nourishing. We left happy and more than satisfied. Thanks, Kitchen... for a wonderful evening... and special shout out to our friends in DC (Devrim and Katie) for the wonderful treat!!!

All recommended the Kitchen to us. It surpassed our expectation. Hostesses were friendly, seated immediately and then we had wonderful service. Our water was filled constantly, and we were served graciously, yet promptly. The food was fantastic! Loved the local vegetables that dotted our courses. Fresh local corn, tomatoes and greens were all perfectly ripe. We had an amazing dinner and hopefully will return to Boulder to go again! We had the most amazing sticky pudding a la mode for dessert! Yumm Thank you!

Went there for the second time (the last time being a special occasion 2 years ago) and I was just as pleased as I was then. We ordered a handful of starters, mains, and desserts and they all impressed us as much as the last time. The highlights were definitely the Salmon with succotash and a surprisingly out of this world Quinoa with broccoli main dish. To cap it off, the sticky toffee pudding is better than any dessert I've ever had. Next time I go, I won't even bother with any of the desserts as it is easily head and shoulders above all the other desserts on the menu

Friday night reservation full house. Perhaps one of the best servers we have had in a long time. At the risk of butchering the spelling. Our server Crystalynn was perhaps perfect. This gal was excellent. As one of the girls in our party said, she could describe an entree of a burnt shoe sound sublime. Truly passionate of her craft and the house she works for. Note to Kitchen management - keep her happy. On to the food. Chicken Liver pate and seasonal veg puree soups excellent. Entrees - 3 of the four of us had the pork chop at the suggestion of server were huge, perfectly done. Great choice. Fourth plact was the halibut which was also excellent. Bottom line - highly recommended. Front and back of the house have their acts together.

The listing of what local farms The Kitchen gets its food from is very visible! The creative menu includes old favorites such as pastas and pork chops and some surprises. I tried the pigs' ears under the "nibbles" category. Not something I would order again ( more "fried" than meaty), but I was glad I had the chance to try this innovative offering. We'll be back!!

Unbelievably forgettable. I didn't even try to fight the loudness, lack of space, and poor service. I smiled and enjoyed my my mediocre dinner.. and paid a lovely $20.00 tip on a dinner for two. Our food was poor. 12 dollars for a sliced tomato with some cheese and balsamic drizzled over it, and a 6-8 ounce thinly cut ribeye overcooked and drowned in a garlic mince that will probably make me smell for a week. The water they served was room temperature tap water, and no ice? We had an appetizer, one beer, the pork chops, my ribye, and two desserts for a total around $102.50... $38.00 for a steak that wasn't even close to satisfying hunger. Avoid this spot. Better restaurants await.
