A word from Lola's on Harrison
Opened in 2007, it remains a bastion of contemporary, American, upscale comfort food. Recently, the restaurant was taken over by Chef Bob Mignola, whose resume includes Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach and The Post House in Manhattan. Mignola has worked with renowned Chef's David Burke, Bobby Flay & Michelle Bernstein. Mignola is breathing new life into this already outstanding dining establishment.

From the extraordinary boutique wine list, the seemingly endless selection of craft beers, an imaginative and alluring cocktail menu, to the offerings of artfully prepared cuisine, no step has been missed in selecting and preparing the finest and freshest of ingredients. Mignola will be showing off his culinary talents by introducing specials to compliment Lola's favorite selections such as the Coca Cola® Short Ribs and the Crab Cakes, which remain on the menu.

GREAT Martinis, my sister in from NY, and I think it is the best one that we have ever had. WE LOVE GREAT MARTINIS. WE have made martini sampling have made it into an art form. We both had ribs she had the beef, I the pork. Fantastic. We love Lola's and will continue to patronize it.

It was supposed to dinner but turned into a very pleasant early bird barbites and wine at the bar. Nice wine good appitizers in a very quiet elegant atmosphere. We had seen the place get great reviewsin the papers and on "Check Please" but since we didn't sample the dinner entrees we can only recommend the bar. Regulars sitting near us were mourning the departure of the long time chef but they were coming back so I will to on another night when I'm hungry enough for a real dinner.

We love the food and the gentle changes that the chef makes to the excellent entrees that we've come to know over the years. The serving staff are attentive without being intrusive. We find it a good place for an intimate couples conversation, but Lola's is also a good place to bring business associates for good food in an atmosphere that's attractive without being pretentious.

We saw this restaurant on the food channel and decided to try with some friends. It was a great experience from the welcoming before we stepped in to our departure. Everyone was very gracious and polite especially our server Cassandra. The warm brie appetizer was very good as well as the French onion soup. We were very satisfied with our dinner and dessert, will definitely be coming back.

The food was good - the service was excellent! In the end, the chef 'comped' my mom's dinner. What a nice surprise. Good place - Great people.

We like Lola's, having found it the best fine dining on the East side of Hollywood. We'd not visited in several weeks due to my travel schedule, and we were pleased to find simple and delicious variations on our favorites. When I say variations, I mean for example, a chance from saffron to forbidden rice and different veggies accompanying the Branzino (which is wonderful). Lola's continues to be our favorite place to eat in this neighborhood.

Four of us went for dinner & when asked if they could have no rice sub for veggies she was told that they don't do that. We enjoyed everything we ordered, mussels, warm goat cheese salad, Coke BBQ ribs that fall off the bone, the side creamed corn was skimpy but tasty. The grouper was also very good. Key lime pie was creamy & tart.

We have dined at LOLA'S many times, this time was exceptional. Maybe it was the server, but everything was at the top of it's game. We ordered a bottle of wine instead of having coctails at the bar. WE stated with the blue cheese special and a salad. The cheese was as good as it gets. The salad with roasted beets and goat cheese was a great complement to the cheese special. I had the black grouper, with the red tai sauce, and sticky rice. My husband enjoyed the veal porterhouse chop marsala with portabella mushrooms. We completed our meal with the OVER THE TOP KEY LIME PIE. Finger licking good. Lola's never disappoints. We will be back again very soon.

Lola's is an excellent restaurant with interesting, creative and delicious choices. We were graciously greeted by their manager. Our server was accommodating and attentive. I had their "Angry Shrimp with grits" appetizer. It was fabulous. My companion had their Wedge salad,--which he loved. He had their Chicken Milanese as his entrée,-- and I had their signature Beef Ribs. Both dishes were EXCELLENT. Their DECADENT and delicious chocolate lava/fudge cake,-- was a fitting ending,-- to a very satisfying and enjoyable dinner. Whatever Lola cooks,-- I want to eat!! Lola's is an outstanding restaurant with FAIR prices for QUALITY cuisine and service.

I had the pleasure to dine at Lola's with a friend of mine and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent. We started out with an apetizer which was the warm Brie and had a glass of Riesling wine. It was out of this world. Then I had the coca cola ribs and the presentation was unbelievable and so delicious. They could of put a little more cream corn on the plate. The only thing I did not like was the desert. I had the chocolate cake which was a big disappointment and the coffee was too strong. Otherwise the service and food are well worthwhile and I recommend this place highly to dine.

Lola's on Harrison proved to be a top notch restaurant in all facets. The food was delicious, we especially enjoyed the mussels appetizer and the Coca-Cola shortribs. While we did not enjoy wine with dinner on this occasion, the wine list was quite impressive. And the service was superb, and they even provided us with a free desert to top off our stay. I will recommend Lola's highly, both to my neighbors in Hollywood and to friends looking for a new and delicious dining experience.

We haven't been to Lola's in over a year; but for my money, it's still the best restaurant in Hollywood. The menu is creative and the food excellent and fairly priced. The configuration of the restaurant has changed. It's more spacious, the tables are not crowded, and the overall ambiance is clean, modern, and very pleasant.. The service was attentive and energetic but not overbearing. We had a great experience, and will certainly go back more often,

Have been there several times; the food is excellent. The last time there the busboy was a little to anxious to take away our plates before we had all finished the course. It made us feel rushed and there were plenty of other tables. He was pleasant enough, just seemed to be new on the job. The noise level is pretty high....once when we dined there was a pretty loud party of six and it ruined the experience (and we weren't even sitting next to them); it's not the restaurants fault but it was pretty annoying. Also, I was disappointed in the chocolate dessert.

This place is awesome. Host and servers refer to you by name. We got there early and had wine at the bar. Great happy hour prices on nice wines. Brie, fig jam, almonds, and honey appetizer was great. We were celebrating our anniversary and the host gave us a cozy corner half booth by the window. Salmon over spinach and garlic with fried leeks was perfectly prepared and succulent. Burger was one of the best I've had. Mushrooms, cheese, ripe tomato, crispy brussel sprouts, cooked exactly as I ordered it. Free key lime pie to celebrate our anniversary. This place is a gem.

First the restaurant is very nice, clean and small, and the wait staff did a great job and were pleasant, they did an excellent job. The decor of the restaurant and the location is nice. Bottom-line - just the food was expensive and just average at best. The shrimp and grits appetizer was the best part. My wife ordered the Flat Iron steak at $27 and I ordered the $34 Veal "Porterhouse" Chop - it was just a dried out chop and the steak was tough and chewy and no flavor. The dessert was horrible - a dried out chocolate piece of cake at $7. We will never go back just because we work to hard for the $$.

I visited Lola's with my boyfriend on a special occasion. I found the food at Lola's to be moderately priced, but surprisingly satisfactory after hearing raving reviews (don't get me wrong, the Branzino was delicious, but the rice was under seasoned). Together, we tasted the angry shrimp (the grits were good- although I had not tried the shrimp itself), the salad with beets (excuse me for forgetting the name of the actual dish), the Coke BBQ main entree, the Branzino, the key lime pie and the vanilla creme brûlée. I don't recommend getting the creme brûlée if you want to dig in deep for your dessert; the dish overall was lacking in substance. Service was spectacular and extremely accommodating. Good experience overall.

Service was great until the waiter that was serving us left midway through the meal. Our appetizers came out in good time but then the entrees took close to an 45 minutes to come out after the app dishes were removed. Two of our party had the ribs which is the signature dish and they were both disappointed. The ribs were smothered in too much sauce. I had the veal and the sauce was thin and tasteless. The desserts were bland at best.

Lola's has retained some of their old menu items and added new ones. Especially good was the pistachio encrusted goat cheese salad with red and yellow beets. The only weak point is the desserts, which are composed items, nothing is baked. They would be better off serving ice cream and sorbets.
