Fabulous, probably the best dining experience that we have had all year. The special of the night, Chilean sea bass was the best seafood meal that I have ever had. Waiter was attentive but not hovering. Can't wait to take out-of-town friends here.

We were sitting right outside the doorway to the bar; music was so loud we couldn't talk. Waitress could have been more attentive. Lovely place to dine; prices are upscale. Would be worth dining there again if service was better. Served wrong alcholic beverage; requested correction, but 2nd drink was wrong also. Attention to detail needs improvement.

We were a little concerned at what we might find having read some of the reviews. The service was good the food was wonderful but a little cold for us we like hot meals not warm meals. We would have liked more time between courses food came out too fast. However, we really enjoyed the Steak & lobster. Good wine selection and not too expensive.

The sea bass ($18.75 off the reugluar menu) and the house chardonnay ($6/glass) were excellent. My wife's lobster tail was good, but a tad chewy. Our server, Cliff, was superb. Overall, a very nice experience.

WE HAVE BEEN THE LOBSTER POT MANY TIMES AND ALWAYS ENJOY IT. HOWEVER, OUR FAVORITE WAITER IS FINALLY MOVING AWAY (AFTER MANY YEARS) AND SO IT IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT FROM NOW ON; BUT WE EXPECT IT TO STILL BE TERRIFIC.

Out dated restaurant, way over priced for the quality of food, the lobster had no flavor and was chewy. Overall a bad experience, plus they automatically add a 18% gratuity.

  • MY WIFE AND I DINE QUITE OFTEN

MY WIFE AND I DINE QUITE OFTEN AT THE LOBSTER POT AND WE ENJOY IT EVERY TIME WE GO. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT; THE WINE PRICES ARE REASONABLE; THE CHOICES OF FOOD ARE QUITE EXTENSIVE. IN SHORT, ALTHOUGH NOT INEXPENSIVE, IT IS A GREAT SPOT TO GO FOR DINNER.

I have to say I was extremely disappointed. This was the first time I dined there since new ownership and was looking forward to it. The garlic mashed potatoes were dry, the beans were not crisp and the salad was sitting in a pool of water. Although the Lobster was tasty it was extremely small. Bring back David and Antoinette.

  • We went on Valentine's Day
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 2/14/2010
We went on Valentine's Day and they had a prix-fixe menu in addition to a limited offering of the normal menu. We both had the Valentine's Day special and it was excellent. The lobster and shrimp starter was delightful and the salad with bleu cheese, nuts and champagne dressing was amazing. The lobster tail of the surf and turf was surprisingly large (so many times these 'prix fixe' type surf and turfs have such small lobster tails) and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I look forward to visiting again and ordering off the regular menu.

My wife an I went to the Lobster Pot on Valentines Day to have dinner. The entire meal was oustanding, from the appetizer to the desert. The price was right for that days special. We have gone there many times before and it always has been very good. If you go,order the surf and turf. WHAT a combo they do.

Well, we've just started to be "snowbirds", and this highly rated restaurant is a 5 minute walk from our winter home. We had very high hopes and expectations, coming from Boston, for this seafood "mecca". All of those expectations were exceeded! The management ( Bill) the server ( Cliff) the support staff, and the food quality and preparation were just simply over the top. Many creative things are going on here, including a Thursday food and wine/spirit tasting, along with Jazz music, and several other innovations put this high on our list as a "regular" spot to dine.
