A word from TWO urban licks
TWO urban licks has been heating up the Atlanta restaurant scene with its “Fiery American Cooking” since opening in the fall of 2004, making it one of the city’s busiest restaurants on a nightly basis. The scene features “Fiery American Cooking” prepared in a magnificent nine-foot, wood pit rotisserie in the dining area and live blues nightly. TWO has garnered an abundance of local and national accolades including Conde Nast Traveler’s “Hot List”, Bon Appetit’s “Hot 50 Tables” and one of Rachael Ray’s “favorite restaurants” in the country as told to InStyle Magazine. Nominated year after year as Best Restaurant Scene and Best Place to Take an Out of Towner, it is no wonder that guests keep coming back for more.

  • Very noisy and when the band

Very noisy and when the band started playing it became even worse. Where we were seated, the sun was directly in our eyes for about 10 minutes. A little confusing getting to the valet parking. It was still daylight when we arrived, it must be much worse in the dark. Food was excellent.

  • Two. urban licks is yet another
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/15/2008
Two. urban licks is yet another example of a decent restaurant that generates the buzz of a great restaurant. Buzz is no substitute for quality, though. The inattention to details is what keeps it from being great--take their bread for instance. Do they think that they can make store-bought bread taste homemade simply by heating it in their giant spaceship warmer thingie and then slathering it with some kinda garlic butter stuff you could get at Ryan's steakhouse? There was nothing about the food here that set it apart from Applebees.I find it hard to believe that they actually have a chef over-seeing the work of the minimum wage employees they so proudly display for the world to see.

  • We loved the special enviroment
    Delicious2
    Dined on 3/14/2008
We loved the special enviroment of the restaurant. The food was tasty and unusual. Our visit was a "one timer" however. Four hushpuppies the size of a dime for $20 is not hip/trendy for us - we need more of food for the price we paid. Taco appetizer...split 4 ways was humorous. The smoke salmon appetizer for 4 was a good starter. The entrees were tasty. Wine was nice - The service was tough - our server "Billy" was sick and constantly couphing in his hand and arm. He could barely speak due to illness and half our party could not understand him. We didn't see him for the last 35-40 minutes of our meal and had to ask others to serve us. We asked for the check twice.

Definitely a neat atmosephere and its location makes you feel like you are going to an elite hot spot. The warehouse serves to create a neat look, but the accoustics are such that it is hard to hear your companions and is certainly not intimate or romantic.

The food here is amazing! Really good best mac n cheese. The pork is very tender. The appetizers are all good as well, especially the salmon chips. The desserts are good too, but the apps and entrees are what this place is all about. Not really a good first date place because of the noise level. Nice city views outside on the patio.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 2/16/2008
For the the uncertain first date TWO Urban Licks is the best first date spot. The restaurant comes with its own ambiance and energy so it invites you in to itself. The wait staff is prompt and confident. The music and atmosphere is amazing so you aren't staring at your date wondering what they'll say next. The menu is just big enough to offer variety, but is paired down enough for the kitchen to hone and perfect their craft. You won't leave disappointed. Now for the romantic second date, try TWO's more mature sister, TROIS on 14th Street. The Concentrics Restaurant Group is definitely on the right track with these "numbered" restaurants.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2007

One of my favorite spots in Atlanta. Live music on Friday nites. Great happy hour spot after work. The food is delicious with my favorite being the salmon chips and the scallops with grits. The fire roasted chicken is a fantastic sight to behold. I've been there for the after work crowd and on a Sunday afternoon with my family. It is extreme quiet on Sundays so if you want to take the kids that is the perfect time. Noise level during Happy Hour is high and expect a long wait on Friday and Saturday nites.

A nice improvement when we wend in 2007. Look forward to finding time to return, though not on a Friday or Saturday night - too hectic & flossy. Very tasty seasonal dishes - inlcluding a poegranite salad that was enjoyable. Energetic place and valet parking is always an adventure. Look forward to returning - but on a weekday, never the weekend, when the floss comes out.
