Ate there twice. Caeser salad was tnagy and good. Also liked the mojo chicken and the veal milanese stack although it needed more mustard or a sauce. I had to ask for lemon to give it some flavor. The wait staff was very nice and attentive.

My wife and I went for our 25th anniversary. Pleasantly surprised as we enjoyed the great wide selection of food stations. The entire atmosphere at the Fountainbleau Hotel was romantic and the outside scenery was by far exquisite and the hotel bar/lobby was relaxing. Great mimosas kept flowing during the entire meal. We may plan our own "Same time next year"

Ate here on new years eve as it was walking distance to our hotel. Menu is quite snack like i.e. sandwiches. Food was nothing special at all. Quite expensive for quality of food served. The place was buzzing this night, unsurprisingly. Try to get a booth if u go.

I really wanted to go to Scarpettas but couldnt get a reservation at a convenient time so went to Vidas instead. Couldnt have been happier. The Lobster bisque was exceptional! The spaghetti with basil & tomato sauce, the margherita pizza & the seared tuna were all excellent & the price was very reasonable.

Our family of 4 enjoyed a small dinner celebration at Vida just before Christmas in a very comfortable booth with good food and drink. Ambiance was nice and service was very attentive, especially at the end when the manager personally fulfilled my special request for a Spanish coffee that wasn't on the menu. The hotel itself, inside and out, was spectacular.

I had dinner at Vida on a Saturday night, around 7:30, the place was kinda empty but that didn't stop me. Every restaurant at the Fontainebleau is supposed to be fantastic so what the heck? The menu options were "eh" and we were advised by one of our waiters (6 in total that night came to our table) that the chef was redoing the menu and therefore was not offering specials of the day for now. Boo! I love ordering from the specials! No worries, I ordered the Churrasco and I have to tell you that the fondant potatoes were sooooooooo good, I would seriously go back just for that! My dad enjoyed the Salman, I think it had a ginger sauce and he loved it. As for desert, the menu was again "eh" - we had the banana creme brulee... it wasn't s

Restaurant was very cold and we had to move tables due to air conditioning units above the table. We ordered crab cakes for starters which were very good. For the main we ordered the rotisserie chicken and lamb. One of the lamb dishes was okay, however we had to send the other lamb dish and the chicken back as the chicken was dry and the lamb was inedible due to being tough. Wine was also very expensive with the cheapest bottle of white being $40. HOWEVER the staff were excellent, and the manager who dealt with our complaint was superb, the customer service was second to none.

Good food, very prompt and courteous service. The only significant issue was price. At $90 for one person (all in) there are much better experiences out there for the price. However, I suppose is the price one pays for the South Beach experience....

The restaurant is good for breakfast or lunch. The service at dinner time is extremely slow. We had to wait for our food for at least 1 hour. We were trying to order the dessert and it took also forever. I ordered rice as one of my side dishes and it was undercook. The vegetables were not great either. Most people at my table thought the food was okay.

  • HORRIBLE
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011
    Dined on 7/25/2011
For a restaurant located in the Fountain Blue, well, it was very very disappointing. I made a reservation for a group of 10. When we got there everything seemed great, that is, until the food came out. HORRIBLE! Two people got the same meal, the meat, and it was overcooked, hard to cut/dry (as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for a good 15 minutes); it should have been slightly pink in the inside, instead it was not. We returned those and asked for them to bring us new ones. They did. One was much better, while the other one was dry and overcooked. We did a cut test, the good one cut like butter while we had to be forceful with the other. We also returned a chicken, dry! Lobster Bisque: Salty. Oh and the valet lost the keys to the car!

I was celebrating my birthday and heard about a nice club to attend while in town(I am from TN). We also needed to eat and we located this restaurant inside the hotel. What a great find! Our waiter was very attentive and excellent. There was a group of kids seated near us and instead of him being annoyed by them dropping dishes etc., he was very patient and took real good care of them - not sure where their PARENTS were but that's another story :-). The food was prompt and delicious, the ambiance was incredible. I will definitely eat there again when I return to Miami next year - same time!

All other food was ok, service was not great (afterall we were in Fountainebleau). We were in many restaurabts in this hotel and everything was perfect. Very disappointed.

    Dined on 4/15/2011
We made reservations here for a party of 14 because we heard it was good for groups. It really wasn't, it was kind of a nightmare actually. As soon as we ordered drinks the server told us that we could not itemize the bill and it could only be split evenly among x amount of people. This was really not fair when some were having appetizers and some were having the churrasco entrée! The service was lackluster, probably because the 18% gratuity was already included. The food was decent, nothing really out of the ordinary. The ambiance was a little loud for my taste. The worst part was that the server charged my sister the amount for the entire party 3 times! We didn’t find out until she tried to use her card later that night.

Vida is definately a must for Miami Beach if you are after delicious Italian find combined with fresh and exotic sushi in the evening :) We stayed at Fontainebleau and tried the morning breakfast there, but it was extremely expensive for just coffee and a pancake you are charged twice - both for American and European breakfast. Went there with my husband on a Wednesday night & there were barely any people inside. The menu is very limited & nothing special. The crowd was older and overall a very boring atmosphere. The food was way too overpriced & nothing special. This place is certainly overrated & I would not recommend for anyone to go there, considering that there are other amazing restaurants like Prime Italian & Bond St.

Our waiter was the best ever! He was so helpful and cheerful. But something was UP with the hostesses. We came for brunch on a Saturday and when we walked in, they offered us only lunch or the breakfast buffet. It was so weird - we had to ask a lot of questions to finally get the regular breakfast menu. Why would they hide it from us??? I've never had a similar scenario.

Had the American breakfast buffet here and ate WAY too much. They have an omelet bar (yum!) And eggs benedict available (yum! yum!). A bit pricey, but add the cost of coffee and juices to an a la carte breakfast (which are included in the buffet), and it's not bad.
