A word from La Côte - Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Sparkling French Mediterranean cuisine is presented in a chic, two-level restaurant situated beach and poolside, with sweeping views of the ocean and great sunset vistas.

Inspired by the lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur, the ambiance is both laid-back and lively. Enjoy the unspoiled, simple dishes of the South of France - tapas-style starters of seared Haloumi cheese, raw bar selections, a signature salad of octopus confit, vegetable pissaladiere, lobster thermidor and hanger steak fresh off a sizzling grill. Addictive desserts and fashionable cocktails round out the experience.

To complement our wine list, there is a $30 corkage fee (per 750 ML) for two bottles and $70 for any additional bottle (per 750 ML).

Nice restaurant for grabbing lunch while at the pool. Very casual with music and bar nearby. The food was surprisingly good and the service was fast and attentive. We had lunch there three times during our stay at the Fountainebleau. Be sure to try the Tuna Escabeche.

This is a pool cafe serving good, creative Florida pool bar food. We were hoping for a chic "ladies who lunch" spot and this had more of a Vegas pool scene vibe. Spotty service and ripped napkins along with smoking still being allowed lent the whole place a very cheap vibe yet our tab for 2 sandwiches and 2 cocktails was $100 USD. We would not mind paying that if this was an elegant spot to lunch, but it is quite the opposite.

Very pleased with the service, ambience and food here. Have dined here for lunch several times and always enjoyed it. Drinks are worth the price (unlike the pricier, horrible drinks and terrible service at the Ritz) and the service is friendly and efficient. Well worth bringing the out of town guests for a fun Miami experience.

I booked a car for me and my parents to get to Miami Beach. For my parents it was the first visit to Miami and I thought it would be nice to have lunch with the ambience of the Fontainebleau. We entered through the Reception and the security let us through the way to the Restaurant. After lunch we were not allowed to get through to the Reception area where our car was waiting, my parents are in their 70s and we had to walk all the way around the two Hotels to get to the street, on top the wooden walkway was under repair which ended up walking in the sand; in my opinion absolutely unnecassary and not acceptable at all. I am working in a 5 star hospitality business; this was my first and last visit, never again...

Dinner was great and so wine which with the view and the cabana make this a very romantic dinner.

Except for the dessert, the quality and preparation of the food was significantly lacking, particularly given the price point of this casual outdoor restaurant. Lobster Fra Diavlo tasted like over salted sauce from a jar with no spice whatsoever, and included one-half of small, local (i.e, Florida not Maine) lobster. Civiche was room temperature, rather than chilled. Purple potatoes served with shrimp dish were overcooked and starchy, and would not have complimented dish even if properly prepared. Servers were attentive enough, and inquired about our meals, but then made excuses for our food rather than offering to replace it.

Our party of 5 went during MiamiSpice and made the reservation online but later decided to call to confirm seating. The hostess was wonderfully kind and accomodating. We arrived an hour early in order to have a drink on the upper deck lounge and watch the sunset. By the time we went for our dinner reservation, the table was ready and our waiter was waiting for us. Our waiter, Fermin, asked for each of our names and addressed us BY NAME during the entire night. He was, by far, one of the most professional and attentive waiters we have ever encountered. Our evening was more than just a dinner, but rather a dining experience! Bravo to La Cote and their staff, especially Fermin!

We cancelled once we got there. Too hot, every one in bathing suit, it was definitely not a restaurant venue. It was more of pick-up and show your bod place. This restaurant should be described as a hang-out and come in flip flop place. We were disappointed. We switched to La Vida, much better ambiance.

The food as well as the view was excellent. I was a little disappointed in the service. Although, our waitress was very friendly, she seemed to be a little slow in her overall service. As far as the valet parking, paying $ 12.00, even with a validation sticker was a bit high, I thought. However, the overall experience was awesome, my wife and kids loved it. We would go back.

Definetly not the romantic spot we were hoping for. It is situated right at the pool bar and you can hear the pool noise and pool music blaring, definetly a disappointment if you want a romantic dinner. It is advertised as a luxury dinning experience, I would consider it mediocre. The food was good and plated beautifully, but that is where it ends. The wait staff run around, wearing shorts and t-shirts, there is no view at all of the ocean or anything nice. We had reservations at 7 pm and people were being seated next to us in pool wear and one woman was even wearing a beach towel wrapped around herself. Its a pool bar lunch scene at best! I was greatly disappointed after all the hype! I know luxury dining I eat in NYC all the time!

The tables upstairs have a remarkable view of the ocean. Maybe one of the best outdoor tables in town. Upstairs there is a laid back feeling. By contrast, the bar downstairs at La Cote is a happening place. The fancy-schmatz drinks are $16 each; $60 a pitcher.

Our experience was terrible, we arrived, they seam like , there was no reservation for us,after 5 minutes they head us to a table at the end of the restaurant facing the kitchens door, althou there were plenty of empty tables, our waiter brought the food after 45 min. and then made a huge plate , sat 3 tables away from ours and et, we wanted to order the desert ,but he was still eating,we had to grab another waiter to as for the check, altough we were craving for desert, because after 10 min. waitting to be served and seen our waiter still eating, we asked for the check. It was the worst experience i´ve ever had. If they don´t want us to to make reservation using open table, they shouldn´t allow.

Very disappointing. The restaurant itself didn't have the amazing views or ambience I expected. Food was of average quality, poorly presented and very expensive. As somebody who dines out regularly in central Londom (UK) I am used to paying high prices, but I do expect to get something back. Here I just seemed to get an average meal and average ambience at three times the average price!

Although a good place for outdoor dining, the noise level at the bar overtakes the whole place and it is truly horrendous. One goes to a pleasant outdoor restaurant by the beach, in a five stars hotel to have a good diner and a pleasant conversation with a good bottle of wine. One does not expect to be in the middle of "boom box".

I took my fiancée here for lunch to celebrate her 30th birthday. I requested via email a few weeks before to be sat with an unobstructed view of the sea and they obliged, very grateful. The setting was fantastic, the staff were attentive and extremely friendly. We had some cocktails that were delicious, especially the Rasberry Collins! Food was great and they threw in some complimentary beignets for pudding, which had happy birthday written on the plate, a nice touch. All in it was exactly what we were looking for, and without the cocktails it would've been very reasonably priced, but it was a birthday so half our bill was on some delicious drinks! Being that it is located within Fountainbleau, there was a very Miami beach ridden theme with the decor and the uniform for the staff. Visually it was great because of the trees and bar seclusding the restaurant from the pool but I feel that being that the prices are so high there should have been a wider selection to the menu. We were two people and paid $100 for dinner that was mediocre. We had paid less and got better food and at least didn't settle. All in all its an ok place if you really want that Miami Beach experience.

When you arrive at the Fountainebleau you valet park, a true experience - there are 2 attendants for a hotel with around 1000 rooms - cost savings I guess. After entering, there are no signs or anyone who knows where La Cote is, so, after a 15 minute trek, we found the correct area around the pool. We then entered the restaurant 2nd floor - no greeter to be found on the 1st floor. When the waitress saw us - oh please go back and they will seat you - wow service. Cocktails were a joke - $16 for 4oz plastic cups, food was marginal - $28 shrimp share appetizer had 4 midsize shrimp, my wife had Lobster thermidor - no Lobster on it $32. Tip was included at 18% and no validation for $22 valet parking. Would never go back or recommend.

It was blazing hot outside, but under the umbrella it was so comfortable. They even have the misters around the restaurant perimeter. We decided to try out a refreshing glass of the White Pear Sangria! So light and amazing! For lunch we started with cesar salads prior to the fabulous grilled hangar steak! What a great choice! The steak was cooked perfectly and had this amazing "La Cote" sauce! So good! Dessert? Absolutely! Check out the quatros leches! Defintely a return visit in my future!
