We have eaten in the restaurant and at the bar. The menu is great especially the deserts! The Chinese pork buns appetizer was dry and awkward to assemble. The view is spectacular and in itself worth the visit. Its a great local spot though a bit sleepy and the player piano perched over the bar is a bit weird.

Makeover needed here. The Menu itself is geared toward an Asian (chinese) and Polynesian feel, however not so well. Menu offerings seem too "disconnected" - from the frozen/fast food-type Pupu's, strange plating of the Ahi trio, to the boring northwest salads (very outdated), to the traditional USA steaks ... bread selection is boring and dated as are the Dining Room interiors. The property seems to rely soley on the view, it's staff and most likely it's location (away from the smelly, touristy waterfront). A facelift would do this restaurant VERY good. A serious re-evaluation of the market, it's maturing existing consumer base/it's newer, sophisticated one would help in developing a more streamlined, focused and flowing menu.

The staff was fantastic with us and my kids - we had made early reservations to try and be as less imposing as possible to other diners -- and the servers were great about serving us quickly, accomodating a strange request ("Please, can you bring us a heated glass of milk?"), and seating us in an unobtrusive area, yet we could still enjoy the view. The best deal was the prix fix $30/3 selections of the chef's choice, with a $5 add on for a glass of wine selected by the chef as well - damn, it was fantastic! We had a great evening and were so grateful that all connected with Palisade made our family - complete with 7 year old and toddler - feel welcome.

As always, our dining experience at Palisade was a delight. Every time I have dined at Palisade I have received outstanding service. There are quite a few different food allergies amongst my group of friends (garlic/onions, dairy, wheat, soy, etc...) and so our order can be a bit complicated but has always been handled without a fuss and our orders are always correct. The food is, of course, excellent, but paired with the outstanding service is why I keep coming back and finding more and more special occasions to celebrate.

Let me begin by saying that I absolutely love the Palisade experience. My family and I have enjoyed many birthdays, father's days or just-because days there. However, my experience on Sunday, March 30., was not what I have become accoustomed to expect. I was taking my nephews out to 'Brunch with Auntie'. I ordered the Pulehu Ribeye, medium. First of all, my plate was mixed up with one of my nephews that had ordered the same thing, medium-well. After switching I discovered that my steak was very fatty and overly salty. I ended up not eating it and the waiter was most apologetic and took it off the bill. This was the first time that I had experienced this type of food preparation at Palisades, but it will not deter me from coming again.

You may not realize how extraordinary Palisades really is until you dine at night. We arrived while the sun was up and we were pleased by the atmosphere. When the sun set and the lights came on, that is when we truly appreciated grand scale of the restaurant (there is a river and waterfall in the middle of it). I never had a waiter place my napkin in my lap before. Make sure you use the valet parking. This is a special occasion location so be prepared to spend special occasion money, but it is worth it.

I really enjoyed my dinner with my wife prior to going to the Jazz in the City concert afterwards, and we came due to recieving a wedding gift card for $100.00 value, and i was quite surprised that i had to add $10 plus the tip on top of the $100.00 credit that was on that card... to me for that price i really would prefer the Space Needle resturaunt over the view and price of the Palisade. Palisade was probably the most memorable restaurant experience we have ever had. We put a note for the maitre de to let them know that we were celebrating out first anniversary and that we would appreciate a romantic table with a nice view and wow! They truly exceeded our expectations!! When we got to the table there were rose petals covering the table with a very nice card from the restaurant and it had the perfect view right next to the window!! It was such a romantic evening we didn't want to leave!! We sat and dined and wined for about 3 hours and our server had no qualms with us sitting and was very knowledgeable about the menu and left us alone at just the right times and came when we needed her. THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!

The Scallops and Risotto was excellent and nice & hot. The halibut was good, but a bit too much of the "smoked" flavoring and was warm, not hot when put on the table. The Calamari was delicious, Willamette Pinot a great accompaniment to the Scallops, and our server was knowledgable, pleasant, but not pushy.

I have to start by saying I have never reviewed a restaurant in my life, but will here because of how impressed I was. I'm not a gourmand, but at the same time get out enough to know what's good and what's not. The evening we had at Palisades was extremely memorable. We were staying in Seattle for a weekend trip for my wife's birthday, and they did a tremendous job. Rose petals on the table, a birthday card - even letting us order off the early "set menu" when we showed up well after the cut-off time due to getting lost on our way there! Incredible views, food and service. Will go every time we're in town. PS: Thaddeus is the best waiter in Seattle!

I have always loved Palisades. This trip was a little more eventful then most. After receiving our drinks and appetizers, the restaurant filled with smoke. Due to the high winds the restaurant lost part of it power - the venting fans were one of the losses. Our server was fantastic through the whole ordeal, keeping us informed of the progress. Unfortunately, the restaurant had to close. The staff handled it with grace and genuine concern. Three cheers to the staff at Palisades.

We love Palisades, the only issue was our waiter didn't inform us of things other people's waiters did but that may have been a personality type issue as our waiter wasn't very talkative. Hence we didn't know about certain menu items being special that day (fresh halibut, etc.) He was nice and a good waiter, just not that informative.

This particular dining experience was not as good as other times. Would have given it a rating as Outstanding, otherwise. However, the lamb stew while it was tasty only contained about 4 pieces of meat. The waitress, Stella who was excellent immediately apologized and offered to have it removed from the bill. Celebrating my mothers birthday and suprising her with a visit from my brother who lives in Denver. Having all my mothers children there was a delight in itself. Your staff made this occassion so memorable that it still brings tears to my eyes knowing how touched my mother was. On top of that, there was a couple, who we never found out who they were, who sent over 2 bottles of champange to join in on the cellebration. (touch of class). We all could not stop smiling after that for the kindness of others. Our hats of too you! Our second visit was just as memorable. Thank you!

The Caesar salad was strong to the point where the taste stilled remained into the entre. The steaks were very good. The halibut was so salty and overcooked, it was impossible to distinguish from any other white fish. The asparagus was raw and cold with an unpleasant charred taste. We were impressed with the location and the ambiance was nice. This restaurant presents itself as high-end with prices to match but I've had better food at the Outback Steakhouse.

We took are daughter there for her 13th b-day. We chose the Palisades as her first nice resturant because of the scenery and the little bridge you crossover to get to your seats. The touch of rose petals were a nice touch on the table and the fact that the staff refered to her by name was also nice. One thing that would have been nice is if they had offered a free desert for celebrations. Most other resturants we have gone to for celebrations have provided this, such as the Metropolitian Grill.
