We have lived in this area for 28 years. The restaurant scene and choices are the best in the county This is a choice for steaks, but up against steak houses in Philly would be a quiet stop Chester county could use a steak house and then wouldn't mind paying those prices

Once again I had an amazing experience at Pietro's Prime. Great service! Great food! In addition to amazing steaks, the onion rings and creamed corn are personal favorites. They also had a Frank Family Cabernet on the wine list. That is a rare and happy find in PA.

I work in West Chester and was looking forward to trying Pietro's Prime. I wish I had skipped it. From the moment I entered the restaurant and was ignored by the host, I was wondering how the restaurant stays in business. Because it was a cold day, I thought it would be a good idea to start with a cup of soup. Bad idea. I had the mushroom soup and although there were a lot of mushrooms in it, the soup was not at all tasty and I quickly pushed it to the side. I also thought it made sense to go with a steak since the restaurant is a steak house. Again, bad idea. I got the filet cooked medium rare. It came out medium to medium well and had an unpleasant flavor so I didn't eat it. When I left, the host ignored us. Bad all around.

I planned a dinner for 8 and we were seated in a very cute area separated from other diners. It was perfect for our group and allowed us to enjoy each other without bothering others with our raucous conversation. We all had steaks that were cooked to perfectio and the sides were just the right size for sharing. Our server was excellent. We had a very good experience and would go back again.

I didn't expect much since it was New Years Eve but I was wrong. The food was excellent and prepared well. (slightly disappointed that the potato wasn't very hot) The bone-in Filet was killer. We got a reasonable bottle of wine which tasted excellent. Our server was funny and helpful. All in all the night went well. I must say that we paid top dollar for our meal but for a special night it was worth it.

Our party of five enjoyed a fabulous dinner on New Years Eve. No limited menus here! All the regular wonderful meals were offered along with specials. We had tender perfectly cooked steaks ( each with a different cut ). We also had two non meat eaters. They ordered a lobster dinner and a fish dish. Both raved! Our appetizers were served timely and well presented and delish. Ou server was hopping as this is a popular spot and it was a full house. She was attentive and sweet and funny. Cannot say one bad thing. This was our fifth trip to this local action in the last few years and we would go again and again. After dinner there was a lively group in the bar and a live band. Made for a great New Years Eve. You won't be disappointed on any date

We went there on New Year's Eve to celebrate my daughter's birthday, as it is her favorite restaurant. Pietro's once again did not disappoint. We had a few appetizers, and a great steak. We finished with a Peanut Butter Pie, which was out of this world. My daughter could not have been happier. Derek our waiter did a great job as always, and the rest of the staff was very friendly.

The ambience and building itself is very cool. The food is horrible. French onion soup was one of the worst we've ever had. Lobster tempura appetizer was awful! 2 pieces of fried mushy lobster and the rest of the plate was fried peppers. The steaks were cooked well but lacked seasoning. We ordered bearnaise sauce that had to be spooned out of a dish in globs, yuck. Broccoli as a side dish was horrible. The blue cheese "crumbles" that were supposed to be on the steak and were forgotten came out in a side dish that looked like blue cheese salad dressing! Unacceptable food quality all around. For the amount of money we spent there we expected great food. Would not recommend this place.

The food was spectacular! Everything was great. The food and the service was fantastic. Around the table we had the smashed potatoes, homemade onion rings, lobster mac and cheese, lobster bisque and steaks all around. The 14oz bone in filet was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is on the pricey side but worth it.

Slow service for the first time ever, way too pricy! Come on bone in ribeye for $55! Lobster tempura was terrible. Got the wine order Mixed up with another table and instead of getting a new glass grabbed the glass from the other table! Gross!!! Should have got comped something for the wait.... Usually have a fabulous experience, but will not be back for along time..... Very dissapointed!

Pietro's has great steaks and a good wine list to go with your dinner choice. It is a bit pricey for a small town restaurant but definitely worth splurging for a 'special night out'. The service was good but paying an extra $7.00 for 'side dish' on top of a $50 steak seems a bit excessive.

Their byline says that you can now get a great steakhouse experience without having to drive into the city or up to King of Prussia. They are 100% correct! Besides great steaks and service they may just have the best handmade, fresh onion rings in the world! And the lava cake with Basset's Vanilla is the best way to wrap up a fantastic dinner. Our waiter, John, was attentive almost to a fault and very funny. Overall a great experience.

We had a party of 7 on Friday evening and had a great time. We were celebrating two Birthdays and our server, Larry, went out of his way to make my Wife and Son feel special. The food and service were excellent-I agree with other reviewers that I prefer PP to Mortons, Ruth'sChris and Sullivan's. The personal touch, food quality, wine list, everything was special. Larry was very helpful to our guest that is gluten free. While we didn't hang in the bar- even the music from the bar was great! My Wife and I can't wait to go back with just the two of us.

We have eaten at Pietro's several times in the past, and the food was excellent -- beef top notch and the fish also. This time the scallops were tough and chewy and had absolutely no flavor. The broccoli tasted as if it were frozen. I must say my pear salad was great, and the onion rings and rolls were good, but that was it. The waitress was very accommodating, but must have known that we had no desire to take any thing home as she didn't ask.

Valet parking is reasonable at $5 and worth the door-to-door service. A comfortable interior with brick walls suggesting a loft-like ambiance; but more likely to show the building's historic character. The "specials?" Variations on beef; aged rib eye, tender prime beef. Sides of creamed corn - sweet - and flavorful smashed potatoes, all in all everyone in our party happy with the quality and flavor of our dinners.

This was my wife and mine 6th year anniversary. Our 1st year anniversary we attended this restaurant and I remember enjoying myself. 5 years later I was looking for some place nice to take my wife. I didn't want to drive into Philly or go to KOP, suddendly I remember Pietro's and decided to go at it a second time. Not only was it our 6th year anniversary but our first date night in about 1.5 years since we have to small babies. I requested a quiet romantic table and they came through. The food was AWESOME, Cowboy Steak was spot on, the tempura lobster were delicious. I don't EVER write reviews, but i couldn't help myself, we had a great time and the food was great.

This was our first time at Pietro's.When my husband says his steak is excellent, it has to be great. We went to lunch here and he was disappointed there were only two choices of steak on the menu.Nonetheless,he loved the NY Strip he ordered. He also loved his smashed potatoes. The Shrimp Lejon was prepared perfectly. Shrimp was tender and succulent with excellent flavor. We can't say enough.5 stars for the mushroom soup. Not easy to prepare correctly, but they did it! Our waiter was nice and professional. This restaurant is upscale and comfortable at the same time. I wish we lived right around the corner, I'd go to Pietro's and never cook again.

Pietro's Prime has incredible food from their appetizers to their desserts. The atmosphere is wonderful. The rooms have exposed brick walls which is so beautiful and fitting for the borough of West Chester. You do not feel rushed if you want to just enjoy and nice relaxing dinner. The entrees were nice sized portions and the taste was incredible. I would definitely recommend this place. The front dining area is great with the windows to look out onto Market Street however it does get a bit noisy when there is a band playing because the bar is right in the next room which is not completely closed off. I hear the bar is a great place to visit as well so will be trying that next.
