Good food. Pleasant service. Kinda noisy with pre- theatre people. We were near the bar because, with a wheelchair, we could not be seated upstairs where it might have been quieter. Though sparse, I would recommend the sea scallop appetizer and the generous salad with brioche that we ordered. The warm chocolate cake was disappointing. As was the sangria.

When we arrived the hostess sat us next to a party of 24. We couldn't hear each other. We asked several waiters if we could change our table, and waited 10 minutes, until we approached them and they moved us. Then a group of 10 were placed a few feet away. We were a group of five. The restaurant should maybe have large groups on one floor and the smaller ones downstairs. As for the food, I would say its fair. I ordered the crispy chicken which was rubbery and tasteless. The quiche was mediocre. The salads were pretty good. We also expected a larger selection of brunch items. Very disappointed.

I have seen this restaurantseveral ties when going to the theatre and finally booked lunch/brunch here pre matinee on Sunday. I asked for a table upstairs by the window and w accommodated. Menu provided a lovely assortment. We did not eat from the pre-fix brunch, but looked nice. I had delicious French toast while others in my party had quiche and salad dishes. Wonderful bread baskets and never a shortage of coffee. I lie when individual pot is left on table. Service was perfect and a good choice. I look forward to trying dinner next time I have theatre plans.

I Love the Glass House...for a great hot spot in the theater district it has a very vibrant bar area, and some of the best Finger food EVER!!!! If you want a quieter experience you can get a table in the dinning area which is still awesome. I think it's one of the best after theater venues in Midtown.

We went to Glass House Tavern on Monday when the theaters were dark. The pace was slow, as expected, and the service was great. We had time to go over the menu and had the mussels and Caesar salad to share. The mussels were done beautifully and served in a butter/wine sauce with a hint of red pepper or paprika to add a bit of spice. The salad was generous for the two of us and tasted like a Caesar. My wife had the tenderloin and it was done perfectly, as ordered, but more than she could finish. I had the duck which was very good but my wife's steak was better. We had a chocolate dessert which was good but not great. The wines by the glass were good and we had an excellent 1/2 bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with dinner.

Had lunch here on Monday the 19th. I requested and was seated at a quiet table so I could have a working lunch with two out-of-town business associates. We ordered our three courses when we were seated. Our lunch was professionally served, well-paced, quiet and with minimal interruption. A perfect situation for a working lunch. Glass House has updated their fixed price lunch menu. They still have my favorite salmon entree. The shrimp risotto appetizer is new and special....served hot and creamy, just as it should be, and it is delicious. Incidentally, we arrived at 1pm; it was 3pm when we left.....we were never rushed, we had our discussion uninterrupted, and we did not realize that we were almost the last to leave until we left!

I could bot believe I was in the NY theater district from the moment I walked into Glass Tavern. It is spacious, polite, excellent food and great service. I asked for no salt and steamed vegetables and that is exactly what I received. Our friends were very late due to a back up of traffic, but the staff was not rattled and did not make us feel as if we were holding up a table. As soon as they arrived their orders were taken so that we would be on time for the show. I will return to The Glass Tavern again and again. Kudos to our waiter Manny who was not only excellent as our server, but for his kind sense of humor.

Although the food was very good, it was very expensive. The service was not good. They took one half-hour to get our appetizers to us. Plus, they did not refill our drinks unless we brought it to their attention and the waiter was hard to find. We did not feel welcome there.

I ate here with family before a broadway show. It is in a great location, but that is the only true perk. Definitely recommend the crab cake, but I got the mixner's salad and the chicken was very rubbery. Lunch also took 2 hours for three of us and the restaurant was uncomfortably hot that we needed to ask for the AC to be turned on. I probably wouldn't return back.

This restaurant has very good food at very good prices. Great for pre-theater or Sunday Brunch, the Raison Bread French Toast is amazing. They are very accommodating & check out the yummy bar menu. The Risotto Balls, Calamari, Grilled Cheese are all delish & the Caesar Salad is very good. Entrees are interesting & delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you're expecting a snooty upscale big time gourmet experience go somewhere else. If you want nicely prepared dishes that taste great for a decent price this is your place. It's a great find where the food is good & you don't feel robbed after & the staff is very nice. It's also very clean including the bathrooms.

Great meal. I have been here before and every time it is great, I live in NY. I enjoy it immensely as a pre theater meal whether you get the fixe or not, the options are tasty modern healthy american fare. Of course, I cannot resist a jalapeno basil martini. It should be a great brunch too, if you have guests staying in times square. The service is top notch and timely dispense of the food so as not to be late to the show.

Could have been better in that in my online reservations I asked to be seated in the room with the fireplace downstairs, but our group of 4 got seated right up front by the reservation desk. It was a quiet night, so that was ok being seated where they put us, as far as distractions, but not what I had hoped for. The restaurant wasn't half filled, so it wasn't a matter of not having room. Also, the restaurant was serving downstairs where the fireplace is located, so it wasn't that that section wasn't open. Otherwise, it is a decent restaurant with good food and very nice people on staff.
