A word from Mason's - Easton
Comfortably sophisticated, Mason’s has earned its reputation as one of the region’s finest restaurants since our debut in 1966. At Mason’s, summertime means starry evenings in our garden courtyard, gently dazzling with twinkling lights and fragrant Eastern Shore breezes. Come fall, our refined comfort food is best enjoyed fireside in the crimson dining room or at the casually elegant mahogany bar. But don’t let the seasons dictate when your love affair with us begins—or continues.

  • Had lunch at Masons on a Saturday
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010
    Dined on 3/20/2010
Had lunch at Masons on a Saturday afternoon, reserved at the tail end of lunch service hours. The lunch time crowd was thinning out, so it wasn't too crowded even on a beautiful day. Location of the restaurant is great and courtyard seating is pleasant, but there are no views since the restaurant courtyard is fenced in. The interior decor is lovely. The food is very good. I wouldn't say outstanding menu choices, though, at least for lunch. I would prefer to see more seafood offerings on the lunch menu, not just the usual chicken breast sandwiches with chips. I feel that more seafood offerings with fresh catches served on a smaller scale than dinner portions would make Masons more of a stand-out place.

Mason's is a delightful upscale but not over-the-top restaurant. The setting in Easton is charming; we love it for lunch outdoors in season. Their menu offers something for everyone: light fare + great appetizers + mains. We find the choices meet small or large appetites. Service has always been a plus; we've never had wait staff that were less than excellent. We hosted a dinner for 10 there a while back. The room was the perfect size for our group, and the food was superb. Another plus is their $20 wine selections. We recommend Mason's with confidence that others will find it good value for the money and wholly satisfying in every aspect.

We enjoyed our meal with friends at Mason's -- great menu for light fare and full size meals. Intriguing appetizers. In line with New Year's Resolutions, I opted for oyster pie and a salad from the appetizer list. Friends enjoyed the foie gras and duck confit ravioli (the seared foie gras is always the best of the plate), Scallops were considered amazing - like marshmallows, melting in your mouth. Good local and sophisticated food!

We were there for New Year's Eve with two other couples who came down from NJ. Our table was ready at the confirmed reservation time; we were seated and served with friendliness and promptness yet not at all rushed. Everyone ordered something different and really enjoyed the food. The lamb was outrageous (my husband always orders it) and the special for the evening, 1/2 lobster and filet was "the best she ever had"! Our compliments to the chef! We have been here before and really enjoyed the food and ambiance; the dining room is lovely and we were seated by the fireplace. We were really pleased that our friends enjoyed it as well; especially on a holiday evening, when some places do not seem to come up to par.

We were a table of four. The bartender knew what he was doing. Three of us loved our order, but the person who ordered veal schnitzel thought it was the worst version of that dish she'd ever had. She only took one bite and no more! On the other hand, my scallops were the best I've ever had. The rolls were outstanding. The service was excellent. We all thought the desserts offered were unappealing and not what you'd expect from a first rate restaurant.

The food was memorable, but the noise of the restaurant took away from the experience. Also, we were stuck at a table near the bar and dessert counter, which made it less private and our waitress was also servicing the bar. We had to ask to put in orders - not something you expect to do at a pricy restaurant.

We were vacationing in the area a found this to be a wonderful surprise. It that most of the other patrons were "regulars" and we felt a little "rushed" by our server. The quality of the food and and wine however was superior. The oyster were fresh and the shrimp and andouille in the jambalaya were generous. My wife's scallops were large, sweet and tender, reflecting the chef's appreciation for fresh seafood. The chocolate mousse desert was to die for. We'll be back!

Have been going to this restaurant for a few years. Recenntly brought new girlfriend'' to it and she keeps making me bring her back. On this last visit we brought her son. He was overwhelmed saying it was thebest food he's ever had. His mother aalmost took his salad plate from him saying that she thought he might eat it. The food is consistently first rate. It is easy to tell from the first bir tha this chef knows how to ccok and ake food taste the way it is meant to taste. The sauces are superb. the service is efficient and friendly. I really can't find anything criticcal to say other than Michael Richard's Citronelle in DC is probably better, but that restaurant is the best in Md, VA & DC.

We celebrated my mother's 70th birthday at Mason's and had a wonderful meal. The crab salad with avocado and gazpacho sauce was outstanding. The tomato tart was excellent...a puff pastry base layered with carmelized onions, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, topped with parmesan cheese and served warm. YUM! The three of us ordered the filet mignon with bearnaise sauce which was served with horseradish mashed potatoes and broccoli polonaise. The filet and broccoli were perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waitress did a great job (and they were packed!). The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Do not hesitate to try Mason's. You will not be disappointed.

Despite a reservation the table was not ready at the time reserved and there was quite a wait to be seated. This was due to the Pleia Air Festival at Easton, so was understandable. The shrimp was a bit salty but edible. When we were there before we had a table outside which was very pleasant. I would try it again.

We had a fantastic time. We chose to eat outside which was a mistake in the summer as the mosquitos were busy. Also, understandably the people at an adjoining table used their insecticide which was very strong and did take away from the eating experience. The wine recommendation was great and not the most expensive on the menu. Wait staff provided everything without hovering. If ever back in area will eat there again
