Service was decent, but our server had sort of low energy. Perhaps, he was tired. Also, my mother ordered a hamburger well-done, but it seemed overcooked. It was dry. Our dessert - the key lime pie was also a bit more tart than I would've liked. Otherwise, the blue plate oysters and filet mignon were excellent.

This place has pretty good steak for a moderate price. I took my boyfriend out and he certainly enjoyed it. This MJ steak sauce is great I highly recommend it. Overall not a bad place for the price.

Our favorite Steakhouse in New York City. We love being able to look out over the Great Hall of Grand Central Station - that makes the ambiance truly special. I've dined at more than a dozen of the top rated steakhouses in Manhattan, and for my taste, Michael Jordan's prepares the best steak - cooked exactly as ordered. Michael Jordan puts Peter Luger's with all that butter to shame.

  • It's a real shame when a steakhouse
    OpenTable Diner Since 2004VIP

It's a real shame when a steakhouse with prices like this can't get the temp of meats correct the first time. Having to send back a plate and wait while your guest has to awkardly eats theirs because they are hungry (and pregnant) ruins the flow and vibe of a night out. The manager apologized, and clumsily comped us a piece of chocolate cake, but I think more is in order when the whole meal is destroyed. I always wonder how if meet is 95% percent of what they do, why they can not have a QA expect who can avoid this.

We were visiting NYC and looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Jordan's was just what we were looking for. Great food and nice wait staff. Although a bit expendsive the quality of the food and the price went together. One hint for the restaurant. I used the "bathroom" which appeared to be a converted closet. The bathroom does not fit the ambiance of the restaurant. It had a squeeze bottle for the soap dispenser. Definately need to be improved!!

Michael Jordan's Steakhouse was a pleasant surprise. Visiting New York for a play and sightseeing. It was the perfect dinner before the play. The meal and service was excellent. The onion rolls and creamed spinach delish! Great wine and the waiter was very helpful with suggestions on what to order. Great view of Grand Central concourse to people watch. I will definitely dine at MJ's again on a return trip.

The food was decent, however not exactly the quality that I would expect for the prices paid. The service was extremely good, and my 12 year-old really enjoyed his filet mignon.

  • Located in Grand Central Station

Located in Grand Central Station this is a very busy, noisy and energetic restaurant. You can almost hear the roar of the greasepaint and the smell of the crowd; revell in it, after all this is New York City. The ceilings are 1 mile high, the marble railing around the restaurant hangs over the massive floor of Grand Central and people rush about busily. The restaurant is almost like an urban oasis in the middle of the rush. On this occassion the restaurant was full and they had no regular seating for about a half hour, so my guest and I went to the bar and slipped into two of the comfy leather chairs around the bar. It was so nice we stayed at the bar. The bartender although busy didn't hesistate to turn the TV to our favorite game. NICE

This was a horrible experience in New York. Its was located inside a train station and very muggy. The service was below level, rude, and unattentive. Food was not impressive and was served cold. I beleive the service was due to our race and age group. They judge us before we sat down. Will never go back.
