A word from Chez Lucienne
We welcome you to Chez Lucienne bistro, the first authentic restaurant in Harlem where you will find signature French Classics with a touch of Provence. The front bar is perfect for cocktails before dinner where patrons will mingle like good friends in an upbeat ambiance. We have an exciting wine list with a fun cocktail program. Join us for mouth watering dishes such as Moules frites made 5 different ways, Bavette a l’echalotte, homemade Sausages, Saumon roti Moutarde grilled to perfection. Chez Lucienne’s dining is convivial with a friendly service and delicious food made with premium ingredients. The décor is warm with brick and mirrored walls, ceiling fans and dimmed romantic lighting, reminiscing of Colonial era. The bistro is in the heart of Harlem with its vibrant energy and history. Come for live music every saturday night (no cover) We have great bands every week, you will be dancing in your seat.

We had a great time. The food was prepared perfectly and everything came out of the kichen timed perfectly. The waiter was professional and friendly. All 4 of us had a perfect meal: appetizer, entree and dessert. We were pleasantly surprised and have already told our friends.

I have become a regular at Chez Lucienne because the food is great tasting and beautifully presented. I also like the ambience of a real French bistro. Service is very friendly and usually efficient, though when the place gets crowded (which is well deserved) sometimes details are forgotten. The music is sometimes a bit too loud for my taste, but that's something I could say about most restaurants in NYC.

Overall, the experience was not as good as I had hoped it would be. Had heard great things about the place from friends in the neighborhood, and made a point to visit for dinner as there are not a lot of dining options in this section of Harlem. While the staff was affable and friendly, the service was slow and sometimes nonexistent. It took far too long to get water and have someone acknowldge we had been seated. The tables are crammed close together - even by NYC standards, and we got the "wobbler". My dining companion fared better in his food selections; I was not so lucky. He found the caprese salad and coq a vin to be tasty. My smoked salmon and scallop entre was just okay. I want to try again and hope the expereince is better.

This is one of the best restaurants in NYC. Superb food, excellent service. My guest and I had an absolutely delightful time .. actually spent 2.5 hrs there!!!! I have been to many of the top NYC restaurants over the last 25 years and Chez Lucienne definitely belongs up in the top rungs of NYC's "Best". We had a wonderful waiter and meeting the owner was a real treat, as well!!! HOORAY!!!!

Hubby and I went tried this restaurant just to do something different on our date night. I was trying to find a place that could create delicious crepes like the one I had in Montreal. The crepes here taste more like pancakes. The waiter was very attentive, great service. The restaurant is on a very busy street, so with the door open, it's hard to get the "romantic" feel. I'd visit this place again to try more items on their menu.

Great to have such a fine new addition to the neighborhood. Food is always good, place is always crowded, waitstaff is always super nice. Would love to see outdoor seating to take advantage of the larger sidewalk. Hope that other restaurateurs follow the lead of Chez Lucienne...build it, and we will come!!

Chez Lucienne was delightful. Small but cozy and very attentive, friendly wait staff. The menu is a wonderful variety of french bistro dishes; my grilled salmon was delicious and my dinner mate enjoyed her skirt steak with potato gratin. A very nice cocktail menu and appetizer selection. My friend and I are definitely returning to sample the rest of their menu. Soyez bienvenus a` Harlem, Chez Lucienne!

Chez Lucienne is a new restaurant. They are off to a good start and they have the potential of growing into a "hot spot." The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good (although my guests found the skirt steak tough) and not overpriced. It will be interesting to see how this restaurant progresses.

Sunday brunch was a treat. I loved the cucumber martinis and the menu is creative and the food was special. A real find in a neighborhood with limited restaurant offerings. Great ambiance and a fun crowd on Saturday night made up for the safe rather than special food and the friendly but poor timing of the service
