We had an incredible dinner at Ten Tables Cambridge. We both ordered the chef's tasting menu and every course was beautifully presented and complimented one another and the dessert was outstanding! The service was impeccable. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a special place with an outstanding menu and an incredible attention to detail.

This new addition in Cambridge is a wonderful place. This is an economical decision through and through with good service, fun food, and a very comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious, and very homey, although a bit heavy on oil. The servers were wonderfully friendly.

Charming ambience with great food expertly served. A bit noisy, and not the place to have a private or intimate conversation. Both vegetarians and non-vegetarians left satisfied. Reasonably priced wine-list, and some excellent specialty drinks.

Very noisy but energetic, and a bit too dim for my liking. The appetizer was well done but the main course was poorly executed and blah tasting. hope they will nail it next time.

I have known Ten Tables in JP for many years, and have always had great food, interesting wines and good service. The Cambridge venue does not disappoint. They have done a great job with the decor; it has an intimate inviting atmosphere. We had a spiced steak tartare and lamb sausage as appetizers. The steak tartare was delicious, with just the right zing to it. The lamb sausage was unusual and delicious. Main courses included: seared scallops (excellent), monk fish stew (excellent) and braised chicken breast. The chicken was well spiced although slightly overcooked. The dessert, a chocolate terrine with basic ice cream was amazing. The chocolate was rich with a wonderful texture and the ice cream an excellent complement.

Tasty food in a comfortable atmosphere. But that was when the food finally arrived! We waited almost an hour for our entre - and the waiters explanation that they had a "large" table for 10 ppl booked that night was unsatisfactory. I felt that if they'd booked the large table - it was up to them to ensure that the service did not suffer. Given the many other excellent restaurants in Boston - unlikely to return.

The food and service were very good to excellent. I loved the fresh horseradish with oysters and mussels. Desserts (chocolate terrine and toffee pudding) were absolutely superb. Great place and I'll definitely be back. The noise level was very high, probably due to the hardwood flooring and cavernous space. They should do something about this -- it was very hard to hear the other people at my table.

Fantastic, especially when considering value for your money in this economy. The menu is small, but pretty well chosen. No entree is over $25, with most $21 and under. And the quality is superb. I had a magrez sausage appetizer, and the monkfish stew as an entree. My companion had a salad and fluke. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding cake and rice pudding. Yummo. And, even though it's not Per Se, the French Laundry, Le Bernardin, or even Hamersley's or Cragie or Salts or Clio, it is very good indeed; and LOTS cheaper. And, the service was attentive but not overly so. Oh, the wine list is well chosen, eclectic, and equally well priced. A great time was had by all!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2005
    Dined on 3/6/2009
Our experience at Ten Tables Cambridge was phenomenal. The ambiance is relaxed, cozy and intimate. The food was exactly as expected as we are frequent diners at the JP location. We decided to have the Chef's tasting, and everything was delicious, fresh, and honestly a little too generous in portion size. The wine list is not huge, but plenty of great choices. The service was outstanding, especially knowing that they only opened 3 weeks ago. Besides the decor being fresh and new, one would never know it was such a new restaurant because the staff worked so smoothly and competently together, as if they've been a team for a very long time. Congratulations to Krista and David on their success!

Good bistro/rustic cuisine, well-prepared from high quality ingredients; unpretentious but also without any particular flair. Decent but unexceptional wine list. Excellent service. Not the best choice for a special night out, but a good new regular dining spot for the residents of this part of Cambridge. Priced lower than some of the more interesting previous tenants of this space (Craigie St Bistrot, Celador), though still maybe a bit too high for what it delivers.

Not ready for prime time- they book the tables with much less leeway than Craigie St. Bistrot did in the same space, and have added a few tables (including in the area where previously you waited for your table to be ready), leading to congestion and suboptimal service.

The food was very good - appetizer better than the main course. Steamed mussels w/spinach in a cream sauce, excellent. Scallops over faro - good, could have been served a bit hotter and nothing out of the ordinary. Wait staff attentive, also the host was very attentive, considering we dined on a Saturday evening just 5 days after opening. He managed to keep his cool as reservations were running approx. 15/20 minutes late... Fast paced environment and a bit noisy. Overall food was very good. I was hoping for bit more creativity.

Having not been successful the couple times we tried to eat at TT JP, we were delighted to hear TT would be opening at Craigie Street. We had a wonderful meal - opting for the chef's whim. We enjoyed the spicy steak tartare (with the charming hon shimeji mushrooms!), the monkfish stew, and the boudin blanc with the duck confit hash. Nice amuse-potato leek soup. Our server, Tyrone, was very good - had good food and wine knowledge and was gracious. The only minor complaint we had (which is probably entirely owing to first week working out the kinks) was that the timing was off. Tyrone seemed scattered (not his fault-he had a lot of tables going at the same time) We were waiting about 20-30 minuntes between courses. Excellent otherwise!

Very good food and service. That subterranean room never worked - either for craigie street or now. Removing the carpeting helped the claustrophobia a tad but only increased the noise level. The night we were there it was unsufferably warm. Thankfully the waiter opened a few windows a crack and we eventually got some air. Without our Cambridge parking permit I have no idea where anyone parks.

Food was decent, but not worth the enormous effort of finding parking in resident-only Cambridge. On their first Friday night open, the waiter did not have a good grasp of the menu yet--food or wine. He struggled through the whole meal and did nothing to make the evening pleasant. Restaurant is subterranean, very cramped, not much on decor, though orchids on the table and around the room were artsy. There are just so many better places to eat, with valet parking or even easier street parking.

I had a wonderful experience at Ten Tables in Cambridge. The location is adorable (although hidden), and has been reappointed very nicely. The staff was friendly, prompt, and attentive. We only had 60 minutes for dinner as we had theatre tickets, and the staff not only noticed I had included the note in my opentable reservation request, but they notified our server who then confirmed it with us. And of course, we were served within the time we had. Although we wish we could have stayed longer! The menu is creative, the desserts look divine, and their wine list was thoughtfully chosen, although a bit short and a bit pricey. Looking forward to my next visit!
