A word from Stephi's On Tremont
On Newbury Street it’s a legend. Now it’s time for Stephanie’s to stake its claim in the South End. Stephi’s on Tremont is set to open this winter, in the coveted former home of The Garden of Eden on Tremont at Union Park. This second Steph’s will feature many of the same elements that have made the Back Bay location a landmark: Floor-to-ceiling windows, a substantial patio and, of course, prime corner real estate will make for outstanding people watching in one of the city’s most fabulous neighborhoods. Always a favorite for its comfortable, somewhat residential décor and service, Stephanie’s is a go-to for lunch, brunch and dinner…in the summer and the winter…for an afternoon drink or a blow-out celebration. A sophisticated comfort menu inspired by the original (and even including some of the classics) will be served in the bar & lounge, the dining room and a private dining room for special events. Stephanie’s feels like home, but better. Now come home to the South End!

Great service makes Stephi's enjoyable from start to finish! On top of that, the food is fantastic! Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was my latest choice and it was yummy beyond belief.

Service was not so great but one of the best burgers I have ever had with amazing fries as well. Sat outside in a spendid day!!! (Sunday Oct 11, 09) At the end the manager was so very apologetic about the service being slow... Great meal overall in a fantastic neighborhood....

Stephi's was outstanding as usual. Katie the bartender was attentive, polite and personable. Eric stopped by to say hi and thanks us personally as we left. Continue to love dining at Stephi's and am grateful it is just a few doors down from where we live!

Love this restaurant. Great food at a very good price! The tables are very close together - but this is the South End. If you can get a booth then this place is the best.

Food was good - the service could have been better - it took a little too long to get our wine. The food overall was plentiful but all 4 of us agreed that it was high on the salt side. We were parched for water for several hours post dining. Not sure if we would go back given so many other choices in the neighborhood.

Dinner was great however we ordered an appetizer and then salads and the salads came out along with my husbands chowder before the appetizer came. That was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the food was great.

Expensive for what you get. The decor and ambiance were nice but the food did not do it justice. For what you pay for the food, I expect something better. They did have a relatively inexpensive burger on the menu but I wanted a meal. It might be good to go back and sit at the bar to have a burger. Along with the food, the wine list is expensive. There were not enough options under the $40 mark. It should be easy to find a bottle of wine for about $35. We also felt a little rushed by the wait staff, which isn't the usual south end style.

Stephi's on Tremont is the sister restaurant of Stephi's on Newbury but much more reasonably priced, even in comparison to other restaurants in the area. They have great clam chowder and huge portion size for salads. We went on a Friday night so there were people there but not overly crowded. Both my girlfriend and I were very satisfied with our dinners and plan to go back.

Good spot for lunch in warmer weather with South End charm. Food selection very good, salad offerings had variety and appeal. Dining inside with large open windows had best of both worlds, letting outdoors in while still having comfort of an indoor table.

Stephi's is a great Sunday brunch place - smart decor, good service, excellent food. Prices are reasonable for the area. They were very accommodating e.g. Eggs Benedict was made with spinach for the vegetarians in our party and service was expedited to ensure we made our train after brunch. Highly recommend.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

This has quickly become one of our favorites. We avoided it until now because Stephanie's on Newbury seemed more mundane to us. Stephi's has everyday musts (burgers, salads) but enough unique dishes to keep you coming back for new stuff (peach soup...delicious). The ambiance is very pleasant and noise level is low. Decor is simple and elegant. Staff is very accommodating, particularly with respect to helping us get comfortable at a table with our 9-month old and finding some tasty baby-friendly stuff for her to eat. We'll definitely be going back!

Great service complimented by great food. The decor or nicely chic and hip. Comfortable tables, noise level etc. The food was fantastic. The arugula salad to start was perfect and perfect because the shaved parmesan was nice and fresh. Thai Chicken Spring Rolls were yummy and the sauce was perfect. My friend had the burger and couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the evening. Nice neighborhood spot down the street and you know I'm coming back!!

We had a great, relaxing brunch at Stephi's. Even though the restaurant was busy at 12:30 PM on a Sunday, we had some nice privacy in a booth, where the noise level was perfectly fine for easy conversation. The food was great -- salads were fresh, inventive, and filling, while the one more indulgent dish that we ordered, banana and brown sugar pancakes, was better-than-average (and huge!). Also, the coffee was MUCH better-than-average -- top notch as far as the four of us were concerned. All in all, this was a very positive experience, and we'd gladly return on another occasion.

I had a wonderful, top-notch dining experience at Stephi's on Tremont. After a night of craziness for my best friend's bachelorette party, we somehow nonetheless made it to Stephi's at 10:30 am for one of the best brunches in Boston. The atmosphere of the newly opened restaurant reminded some in our group of the famed Sarabeth's Kitchen in NYC, with traditional yet bright and fun decor. The service was impeccable, especially given the size of our group. We were seated in the private dining area, which seats 14 and has the option to do private viewings of presentations, movies, and TV shows! The manager, Eric, was very courteous and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. And, of course, the food was brilliant!

I dined there with a few friends on Tues. evening. Good thing I decided to make a reservation as the place was packed at 8 p.m. Awesome experience all the way around and no major blips considering they just opened. The space is arguably one of the most beautiful in the South End. They are well staffed and everyone is making an obvious effort to please. Only drawback is that it is slim pickin's for vegetarian entree options. The macaroni & cheese choice was good. The deserts unfortunately, are too good. I will definately keep an eye on the menu once their website is up and continue to return. I have recommended Stephi's to many people since.
