We've dined regularly at Willy's and consider it a favorite spot for special occasions but otherwise a bit price prohibitive. The food is always very good, but quality of service has been a bit more variable. I feel like in an attempt to not interrupt a romantic meal the staff neglects to show up quite enough to make sure your water glass is always filled and needs are immediately met.

Dinner was delicious, although the tomato, basil and mozzarella salad came straight from the frig - should have been served at room temperature. But other than that, it was a delicious meal, steak cooked perfectly for both of us, and ambiance was nice. Our waitress was great. Will definitely go again, but only on special occasions (because of the price).

Things are a bit over-done. Make sure you ask if your meal has some unexpected sauce - everything seemd to be covered in something and all sides were served luke-warm. We were dissapointed!

The food and service were excellent. Very small and intimate. I don't believe I'd ever go with more than a group of 4.

THis is a very small place, that packs you in. If you have trouble hearing, stay away on a weekend! The bench I was sitting on was tipped forward, and the seat was very narrow, very uncomfortable, there was nowhere to put my coat or purse. The table was long & narrow, so my partner could not hear me because he was so far away, and it was extremely noisy!! But the food was great & our server was very friendly.

The food was quite good -- excellent sushi and then steak with interesting sides -- but the pacing was atrocious. Our table was not ready for our 8 p.m. reservation -- not a big deal to have a drink at the bar. But once we were seated, it took more than an hour for our entrees to arrive, with no explanation or apology.

Very cozy setting with very friendly staff, the waitress was patient as my wife and I tried a few different wines before settling on one. The dressing on the caesar salad was nice and refreshing, lite and lemony. The filet my wife had was cooked well, and the sauce went well, I had szechuan lamb, and it was cooked well, but I thought there was too much wasabi / hot mustard. Potatoes Au Gratin was excellent. Reasonably priced we will be going back.

  • Very funny experience last

Very funny experience last Friday night, this is a steakhouse where the sushi is better than the meat! We had sushi appetizers and salads before our entrees. The sushi was firm, clear, and flavorful. My wife and I both ordered filet mignon, mine was au poivre and my wife's was plain. Both cuts we received were large and had great texture, but were clearly overcooked. We both asked for medium rare, and had hoped to ask for replacements. Unfortunately, our waitress devoted most of her time to a neighboring table of personnal friends, so we were ignored. Overall, I give Willie's a B-
