Will return when in Scottsdale. Creme brûlée delicious but portion small compared to other restaurants. Salsa is unusual as it is mostly chipotles. Very tasty with a minor hot kick.

We are always excited to eat here. We're big fans of southwestern food, and we've never found any place as good as this in all of our travels. But it may not appeal to everybody - don't expect to get your typical Tex-Mex food here. And they keep making little changes to the decor, etc. to improve the ambience. The latest change is a divider "wall" between the rows of tables to buffer the sound and to add a bit more style to the place. It's definitely a good idea to have an Open Table reservation on the weekend because it can be rather crowded (for a good reason).

We all enjoyed the steak dinner specials...each was cooked perfectly and oh so tender...the special included a soup or salad PLUS a great dessert. 'T was a great evening... This neighborhood gem has become one of our favorites for lunch as well. Keep up the great cuisine! (some selections can be a bit spicy so beware ... ask your waiter)

A refreshing change to the local restaurant and bar scene. If you want burgers, one of the best in Scottsdale. But I prefer the New Mexican Cuisine, red and green sauces and the best salsa around. Best of all is the service and the pleasant banter with the owner, Mike. Be sure to make a reservation on Friday and Saturday.

Food is always consistent and flavorful. The wait staff remains the best example of teamwork ever observed ...they are polite and help each other out to make sure the diner is being taken care of and has a good dining experience...very rare accomplishment to maintain long term... The recruiter, the staff and their trainers should be commended.

We choose Blue Adobe Grill to meet friends at because of the rave reviews on yelp and other sites. I was disappointed right when I walked in. It was like a remodeled Denny's, booths and all. From the web site I was expecting a cozy, unique atmosphere. They brought chips and salsa right away. The chips were like cardboard, definitely not homemade, but the salsa was quite good. I had the chile relleno. It was very good. My brother had meat loaf. it was awful. He didn't even finish it. To summarize, if you want atmosphere, this isn't the place. If you want, just pretty good mexican food, give it a try.

We went to Blue Adobe for my mom's birthday. The food was outstanding! The night we went there was a live band which made it difficult to have a conversation at our table, but the atmosphere was fun. Our waitress was great! I definitely recommend this place for the food.

Although the location is not optimum (it is located in a strip mall) Blue Adobe delivers a solid dining experience. I met my mom here for lunch when I was in town based on reviews I've read. We were seated in the outdoor patio which faced the parking lot, but there were som many trees that you hardly knew it. I love Southwest, Mexican and pretty anything spicy. I ordered the three item specialty plate, with a chile relleno, tamale and slow simmered pork in a chile sauce. All three were amazing! My mom ordered the salmon tacos and really enjoyed them, she's a hard one to please. I'd return for dinner and try out some of the other dishes coupled with their specialty margaritas.

This was our first time at Blue Adobe Grille, and we really enjoyed the food. The receptionist and waiter were excellent in accommodating our party of six outdoors -- a popular location on this Saturday night. The only down side was the noise level from the live entertainment -- a talented singer, but the volume was much too loud inside and still a bit loud outside. We plan to go back to Blue Adobe Grille on a night when there isn't live entertainment.

Made reservations online for dinner before the play in Fountain Hills. Easy rendezvous point from Scottsdale and North Phoenix. Greeted warmly at the door and chose to sit outside. Great weather! Nice work by Jason as our server. Did mention needing to leave in a timely fashion, which presented no problems. Asked for an extra plate to share between us-- no problem. Eventually, live musician inside was playing/singing and amplified out to the patio area. Michael stopped over to inquire about our experience. He was personable and "rolled with the punches" as we chatted and enjoyed the evening. All in all, an evening experience worth repeating. Especially for a laid-back prelude to other evening plans. Wine & sup worth the $30 each.

The Seafood Enchilada was outstanding and the Margaritas were yummy. The owner signing happy birthday to my bride and the free birthday desert topped off a great evening. Thanks Blue Adobe

Boyfriend got paired up with a gentleman golfer on our vacation and asked if we liked Southwestern food, Said the owner was great and food too! Suggested the Stacked Enchiladas with a fried egg on top (never had it that way) but thought what the heck. Ashlee was our server (didn't know she was the owner's daughter until the end of our meal when we chatting with her (DAD send her to Florida (Sarasota, She can come visit my spa) She was a great server and very attentive from the beginning. Got chips and salsa at the beginning of our meal. Very good. Prickly pear margarita on the rocks. Pretty pink drink and very good. The enchiladas was delicious. At first wasn't too sure but the flavors really came together nicely. Shrimp tacos delicious.

My two friends and I visited the Blue Adobe Grille for the first time this past weekend. We will definitely be back! The food was very good (we ordered two of the steak dishes and our less adventurous friend ordered a hamburger), the service was great and the ambience was cozy. By far the best chips and salsa I've had in Phoneix. I also had the Salmon BLT that was on a sopapilla and it was super delicious. My friend ordered the stacked enchilada and didn't want red or green sauce so they offered her an amaretto mushroom sauce that she said was OUTSTANDING.

Made a reservation through OpenTable. Received a confirmation from OpenTable. Imagine our surprise when we arrived at the restaurant and found that they don't even take reservations. What's up with that OpenTable? We had no trouble getting a table as it was early and in midweek but that could be very disturbing to someone on a very busy night. The food was outstanding. This place caught my eye a few times online, and we finally stopped in to try it out. The bean/queso/guacamole appetizer is absolutely amazing, and the restaurant was very helpful for my girlfriend's gluten sensitivities. Wow, what a gem this place is. Everything on the menu sounded so good that we were having a tough time deciding. The owner (Micheal) came by to check on us, found that this was our first visit, and helped us narrow our choices. We were not disappointed! There are many excellent Mexican restaurants in the area, and Blue Adobe Grill ranks with the best. What sets it apart is the Santa Fe style of food that is available in addition to the excellent traditional Mexican fare. The chef manages to bring spicy without necessarily adding heat. The bottom line is - I can't give a description that would do the food or atmosphere justice. This place must be experienced to be appreciated. We will be back without question.
