A word from Per Se
Per Se, the much-anticipated restaurant from renowned chef Thomas Keller, debuted in February 2004 in the Time Warner Center complex at Columbus Circle. With striking views of Columbus Circle and Central Park, the dining room is a rare blend of open space and easy intimacy, discreet drama and understated luxury. Offering a 64-seat dining room, a 10-seat private dining room, a lounge, a bar and wine cellar, all presented in a palette of warm neutrals and natural elements, Per Se will refine and redefine the dining experience.

For dinner, Per Se offers two prix fixe tasting menus for $310; a 9 course Tasting of Seasonal Vegetables or the 9 course Chef’s Tasting Menu, which changes daily. We also offer a five, seven and nine-course menu during lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for $205, $245 and $310 respectively.

Per Se and all Thomas Keller restaurants are simply the best in the US. We have dined at many 4 star caliber restaurants (including Gary Danko, Alinea, Daniel, Bouley, La Reve, Tru, La Gavroche, 11, Citronelle and Jean George). These establishments are all wonderful -- but Per Se and The French Laundry soar above the rest. What a pleasure to meet and dine with service provided by many fabulous Per Se staff -- including Michael, Roxanne and Chloe - this weekend. We are certain that Per Se's incredible Chef makes Chef Keller very proud with his amazing food and pristine presentation. We wil be back again and again. Very best, Cheryl Vaught.

Great food. But was better the first time I was there last year, so I was slightly disappointed. Had a table by the window overlooking Central Park, which is beautiful this time of year!

Per Se is a special place. 9 courses for $275pp is not something I do every day, nor would I want to. Having said that, our dinner was (nearly)as remarkable as expected, the flavors of each course unique and the quality of the ingredients unquestionably first rate. What we particularly noticed was that it was not stuffy, our waiter was entirely friendly and knowledgable, and when all was said and done, it was a meal that we will remember for some time (including our $500 bottle of Chateau Laffite 1970 bordeaux).

Wow is all I can say. Every single item that came out the kitchen was absolutely amazing. The service was impecable. I think it topped my other two favorite dinning experiences at Relais et Chateaux Hauterive Saint-James - Restaurant Gastronomique Michel Portos in Bouliac and Grand Cerf in Reims (Montchenot).

I came into the restaurant at 30 years old with a full head of hair, and left at 54 and bald. In case you don't get it, dinner was so long it was absurd. If you like 10 courses, and length, then it's a must for you. Food is good, but Chanterelle, for me, is much, much better.
