Six of us met for a very enjoyable dinner. We all had the fixed prix meal which included soup or salad, an entree, dessert, and a glass of wine. We were all very happy with our meals, and the restaurant let us stay and visit until closing time. We will definitely be back!!

Took our son for his 28th birthday. There were 10 of us. The server, Nelson, was great. The three course menu was enjoyed by five of our party. They treated my son to a birthday surprise. Not expected; but greatly appreciated. Prices are great. Proportions great. No one left the table hungry or disappointed.

The whole dining experience has been vastly improved with this lovely new dining room. Filled with dark wood and very comfortable chairs, you can immediately sense that the restaurant has changed. We sat in front of the vast fireplace and were pleasantly surprised with the many choices on the menu. From beef, chicken and fish, there were also salads and burgers. We enjoyed pork chops, steak and chicken offerings. Desserts were also delicious. The service was very good and I would definitaly go back.

We had dinner here on Sunday (after the 49er's loss to Seattle (sigh)). As usual the service was excellent thanks to Nelson. The food was great. My wife had the seared Ahi and I had the Cobb Salad (with chicken). Sunday's are fun because all bottles wine are half price. We dine here about once every month or so and really enjoy it. In the summer you can dine around the pool outside. There's Jazz on weekends year round.

Rickey's is trying to be an upscale restaurant, but finesse is lacking. The honey mustard dressing on the asparagus salad was too heavy-handed. The crab mini-tacos & mini crabcakes were delicious, but were quite tiny for the price. The apple crisp had a gluey topping, & came with a totally unnecessary chocolate sauce. Thank goodness I got the sauce on the side, because it looked & tasted like Hershey's syrup - a complete no-no in my book for a nice restaurant. For the price, you'll have a much better experience at Boca Tavern or Boca Pizzeria, both just a block away.

Four of us celebrated a birthday for dinner. We all chose the "small plates". Filet and portabello entres were good, but the scallops (2 of us ordered them) was not very good. Scallops VERY small only 2 (as mentioned on the menu) 2 is fine, but these were really small. The polenta was not very good....I did not eat mine, so I had 2 small scallops and three spears of asparagus for my entre. i think the cost was somewhere around $17.50? We drove from Petaluma and chose Rickeys for our celebration based on a prior good experience....unfortunately, we will not return price of food went WAYYY up as well. Everything else about our experience was excellent! What a shame..... Regards, Molly Schmies

Service is always friendly and welcoming. I mostly have the "Rickey's ahi" which is delicious. The salmon is also very good. Happy hour is good with reduced drink prices and small bar plates. Entertainment on weekends. Nice atmosphere with fireplace. Large parking lot. "Rickey's club" membership (free) is a great deal which gives you points for redeeming credit on future dining. It adds up quickly. We are frequent diners at Rickey's.

Food had no flavor, steak was overdone, veggies were cold, soup tasted like it was water downed. It has been years since I have eaten at Rickey's cuz the food was so bad and since I saw Diner's Choice Winner 2013 I thought it had improved. I guess anyone can have diner's choice winner on their website...so disappointing!!! At first I was going to send the steak back and ask for another but the waiter never came by to see how my meal was and by the time our plates were going to be removed, I wasn't hungry anymore. Manager did the right thing and didn't charge me for my steak.

We returned to Rickey's to dine with friends from our old neighborhood. We moved away in 2012. We had a great time and everyone loved the food, especially the Petite Filet. We seniors love the smaller portions you offer. The music on Saturday night was also very good, but it was pretty hard for us to hear one another because some of us wear hearing aids.

After thouroughly enjoying a recent dining experience, we made reservations about 1 1/2 weeks in advance. We were seated by the front door and even though it was ok on the previous occasion due the fact it was so busy this time it significantly took away from the ambience/experience. People were actually leaning against my chair. This is our only complaint. The wait staff were attentive, keeping our water glasses full with no lengthy waiting between courses. Cornbread flavorful and moist, the Baby Back BBQ Pork Ribs were meaty, moist and spicey. The Wagyu Beef and Black Truffle Ravioli cooked to perfection and flavorful. Sadly we were too full to try their desserts.

After travelling over the weekend, it was quite the treat for us to have a wonderful dinner near the fireplace. Our table was ready when we arrived and Nelson opened our wine and then came back and took our order. Bonus! He wasn't going to be our waiter, but the other person got busy and Nelson helped us beautifully. What a great visit. And we were stuffed and happy when we waddled out!

Sat at bar waiting for service, then decided to sit at table and wait there for other couple to arrive, hopefully then ordering a pre dinner drink. It was clear that the corn bread (cake like, sweet and gooey) was going to be plentiful, in stark contrast to the entrees portions that weren't.... very small pieces of protein over starch (potatoes, polenta, etc). Ah, the potatoes.....were they cooked the day of or days beforehand and reheated (soggy, gray, limp)?

Menu has nice selections at reasonable prices and daily specials also. Food was prepared as expected, good serving sizes and the tastes were excellent. Noise level was a little high due to the light jazz group playing, made it difficult to carry on a conversation at the table among 4 people. The Bar & Restaurant are in the same large room.

Our server was attentive and was always there when we needed him. We all ordered different menu items (duck, salmon, scallops, steak). We were all very happy with our food...I did not hear one single complaint, but I heard a lot of mmmmm and yum and good!!!! We've decided to visit Ricky's again, regularly.

Rickey's never disappoints. Extraordinary service (thank you, Nelson!), dependably great food, and being treated like one of the family makes the entire evening filled with warm fuzzies. We both had simple (this does not mean ordinary, by any means...try the wedge with terrific blue cheese dressing!) salads which we enhanced with sides of delicious salmon, and chose to close with desserts of Hot Lava Cake and Warm Apple Crisp, both topped with yummy ice cream, the perfect ending of a lovely meal. As always, a tremendous experience. Thank you!

We have been to Rickey's several times and always enjoy our meals. We were celebrating my Mom's 85th birthday and they were especially nice to her and even gave her a complimentary dessert. We started with crab cakes which were small but quite good. We had salads that were good but really too big, will split next time. I had the jumbo shrimp and polenta entree, my Mom had the salmon and my husband had the rack of lamb. They were all good but the favorite appeared to be the salmon. I think the nicest part of the evening was that we weren't rushed and my Mom had such a good time and there was a nice jazz group playing in the background. We will definitely go back. By the way, their cocktails were really good!

Okay, so I chose Rickeys for a birthday dinner. I took 3 friends that have lived here for decades, passed it on 101 thousands of times and had never been. It was only my second visit, and again I found it a really comfortable place to hang out and have some really decent food, good drinks/wine, the service has been excellent and if you eat there, you're invited to swim. (huge pool). There is a whole world behind the Rickey's sign you see on 101. 70 guest rooms, lots of greenery/trees/grass. Look forward to staying there for a local getaway! Worth the trip, we had a fun night under our heater! We had the ribs, the scallops, the burger, the salmon, tried sides of risotto and parmesan polenta-all good!

This was my first disappointment with Rickey's. Have always in the past have been impressed with the ambience service and very good food. On this occasion all three of us ordered the duck breast. The breast was okay but the sauce was insipid. The flavor was rather bland and it had too much cornstarch in it. It was clearly not a true reduction sauce. The asparagus was somewhat overdone. The service and ambience were as good as always. I'm suspecting a substitute chef on a Sunday, so I'm certainly willing to give Rickey's another chance. Now for a review of open table reviews. You are demanding excessively lengthy reviews. I resent being forced to add another 207 characters after I have completed my thoughts on the matter.
