Food was nice and unpretetious. Staff was very friendly and serviceminded. Overall a very good experience. We tried 7 differnet courses, and the pastas were all great. The olive oil cake for desert was an unexpected nice surprice tastewise. We'll definately go back to try out the rest of the menu!

I know this restaurant has gotten mixed reviews in the press, but I had a fantastic meal there. I eat out at a lot of the latest and greatest places, and this one did not disappoint. The menu was inventive and very well executed. The pastas and fish dishes we tried were all amazing. I'd especially recommend the Pizzoccheri, and the chocolate budino for dessert.

Everything delicious from the food to the service to the decor. Definitely go for the wagyu tongue beef and beef carpaccio. Pastas excellent (ordered the orechiette and spaghetti w/ meatballs). Service excellent...well informed, friendly and attentive while not being intrusive. Definietly going back.

The food was amazing (pasta with manilla clams).....the salad was fresh, simple and delish. I ate every single last bite. They were willing to leave out the pancetta on a dish for me- which sometimes chefs are not willing to do. The server was extremely helpful with the wine selection and very knowledgeable. I would definately recommend this place and go there again. The only downside is the tables are a bit close- so not a good place for a private conversation.

  • L'Artusi is the new spot from
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006
    Dined on 2/15/2009
L'Artusi is the new spot from the owners of Dell'Anima. While I have never been to that restaurant, L'Artusi should have similar staying power. For a trendy, higher-class restaurant, the prices are decent, but the portions are pretty small (one would assume this correlates to the "moderate" prices). For our starters: the beef carpaccio was good; the arugula salad was a waste of money (pile of arugala with parmesan shavings and lemon dressing - not worth $10). Next we shared two of the pastas: ricotta gnudi (very good, but small) and garganella in lamb ragu (excellent). As I said, portions are small, so I suggest going with 1 crudo, two pastas, and an entree to share. Without the provided bread, we would have still been hungry.

I went with my boyfriend for a late dinner on a friday night. We sat upstairs which is much more quiet than the lively first floor. This was fine because we wanted a quiet night, but if you want the scene sit downstairs. Our server was fabulous and brought us two wines to taste before we settled on a bottle. The food is outstanding. The plates are small so don't expect a cheap dinner, but worth the cost.

Definitely a "scene." You can expect a loud, energetic dining experience, and possibly a bit of a wait for your table, even with a reservation. That being said, I liked the atmosphere, definitely for a medium-sized group, and the wait was soon forgotten due to the otherwise excellent service and the really unique food. Unique is the best way to describe the food, even if some dishes were a little too unique for my taste. The fish dishes were all excellent (especcially the Bay Scallops appetizer) as were the side dishes (carmelized parsnips, roasted sunchokes and roasted cauliflower were all equally delicious). Slightly disappointing but still very good were the pastas, including the Gnudi (too rich) and the Pizzocheri.

we had a very nice dining experience, the food was very good I totally enjoyed the crudo selections, the only disapointment was the monk/lobster entree. It was very salty and the fish tasted like rubber. The dessert were great too, OLive oil cake and the cranberry torte service was great, which made the meal all that much better

Ricotta gnudi was really great. This was the 2nd time I have been and had a much better experience than the first. Portion size varied greatly from last time. This time I had steak and stake and was well beyond full, last time I had octopus and brisket and there was barely anything on the plate. Pastas were beyond.
