Scratch & Co remains open for business. Given the recent blooming of Covid-19 cases in Allegheny County, we will be requiring proof of being fully vaccinated by CDC standards for our dine in services with the exception of those who have had covid in the past 90 days.

This policy was put in place in the interest of our friends & family, and began enforcement beginning 12/31/21. We would like to thank all of our guests for their support.

All staff will be working in the restaurant adherent to the same vaccination policy and will be wearing masks at all times, as well.

In the Troy Hill neighborhood on Pittsburgh's Northside, Scratch & Co serves as a haven for those in search of a regionally-inspired dining experience who don’t want to deal with pretense.

We strive to strike that elusive balance of comfort and creativity in a space that is designed to set you at ease, whether you are here to dine, shop, or take in some Pittsburgh-based art.

    Scratch continues to be a go to for comfort food. Eclectic interior isn't super cozy and worked better pre-COVID. Felt safe and able to distance from other diners. Service was excellent this time.

    I have mixed feelings about this place. Let me first start by saying the service was great and they made things right. Cocktails are pretty good as well, although pricey. That aside, I feel this establishment either needs to A) Knock down their prices for food and drinks about 30% or B) up the portion size and food quality. I frequent butterjoint, Sullivans, Butcher & the Rye, Tambellinis, etc., which are all about the same price range and provide much more satisfaction. Several things missed the target at our table, and while I feel they were adequately remedied by our server, the issues take root in the kitchen and are not the servers responsibility. A 6 oz filet is not equivalent to two 2 oz pieces. All the potatoes at our table were cold, and proteins over cooked. There’s potential here, but something has to change to reach its full potential.

    First time at Scratch and it was an all around excellent experience! Food was delicious and perfect portion size. Wine was good and our server was casual but attentive. Staff were all friendly and they had a great playlist going (but not too loud). I will definitely go back and highly recommend Scratch!

    Sunday Brunch. Liked the jazz band but was a little loud and could not hear others talking. The service was just okay. Wish the servers would have been a little more attentive to the tables. The food was good, but for the price the serving portions were small.

    We had an amazing time at Scratch. Our waitress was great, so pleasant and helpful. The food was great, didn’t hear a single bad review from all nine of us. We tried almost everything on the menu between us and loved it all. Felt safe with their Covid policy. Couldn’t say enough good things about it

    The four of us remarked the food was delicious and the choices and ingredients were fresh and different. We all had the strip steak and the chocolate dessert and olive oil cake. Eating hear is always an adventure. The seevice is always friendly!

    Bakery side is not worth it as far as ambience, and food (veg) is okay. Drinks were great! Service was great!
