I went for a casual dinner with two friends for their summerlicious deal and we all enjoyed our visit to Quince very much. Service was attentive and friendly without beig overbearing ad the staff is very knowledgeable. The octopus carpaccio is delicious!! I would definitely return to this restaurant.

I enjoyed very much Quince. It is an avant garde, classy, well appointed place, with very nice setting, beautiful decor, and excellent food, served in an impeccable way, with charm and grace. I was delighted with the Summerlicious Prix Fix Menu, that included a great Gaspacho, an excellent grilled salmon, and a delightful lemon meringe dessert. Please enjoy a great restaurant!

This is a perfect spot for catching a bite before a movie (at yonge & eg), we had the Summerlicious menu, which we chose because of the octopus carrapachio. We will definitely be back for this dish alone. Portion size was great, even for the dessert, which is generally smaller size for Summerlicious. We made a reservation, but needn't have for the early dinner time we choose, but it was full as we left. A great spot in this neighbourhood. Too bad about the heat otherwise we would have sat outside on the lovely patio, it looked really comfy with lots of cushions. Inside we sat at a roomy corner banquette. Will come here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good was devine, from the butter lettucce salad to the salmon filet with rice cake and vegetables to the finale - walnit brownie with ice cream. Ate here before and still love it! Had delicious Chardonnay from Washington. Wonderful meal from start to finish.

The Summerlicious menu had a decent selection of dishes. Service was friendly and fast. The octopus carpaccio was very good. The chicken merguez sausage and crispy braised pork shoulder were both tasty, but not spectacular. Portions were large; coming out of a Summerlicious meal full was a great feeling. Lemon meringue pot au crème was delicious, but I may be biased because I love anything with lemon. I would skip the cheese plate, and the sangrias.

Had a great summerlicious meal here, for $25 this place was much better than many other choices in this year's line up. Hadn't been before and the staff were most friendly and welcoming. The salmon as a main course was delicious, but my companions also enjoyed their dishes as well. A great chance to try a new place!

Good selection of items on the summerlicious menu. Nice ambiance, cozy place. Had the crispy braised pork, which was a great contrast in texture and tasted great. Also liked the green beans and miniature potatoes which the pork was served on. Desserts were good. Great experience, would come here again.

Good experience however, unless Summerlicious or Winterlicious I wouldn't return. Place was cute. Looks small from the outside but is surprisingly spacious. Butter lettuce was good, nothing extraordinary...octopus carpaccio was very tasty. Grilled chicken merguez was also good but portion was small. Potato gnocchi was delicious. Lemon meringue pot au crème was nothing special. Daily cheese selection was two tiny pieces of cheese and two tiny toasts. Overall, nice place, food was good but not amazing. Portions small, service good.

Our favorite restaurants (the ones you will return to over and over) maximize on the food, the service, and the price - Quince does it best. We travel and when in Toronto, always go here. The food is simple but inventive - none of that nonsense where the menu description is larger than the food served. This night we both had the crispy braised pork shoulder with pickled mustard seeds and almost licked our plates clean! Interesting, we had previously eaten at two of Toronto's "best new restaurants" and were disappointed. We thank owners, Jennifer and Michael, for giving us a wonderful dining experience. We will return.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2010

I walked by this restaurant one day and thought it would be a nice venue for a girls night out. Summerliscious rolled around and I thought it would be a great opportunity to try. The restaurant itself was quite nice. A bit modern, and had a few tables outside as well as a large area downstairs that could be used as a lounge or for large gatherings. The food was good, not amazing and not terrible, but the main disappointment was the size of the portions. Maybe it was because my friend and I had the pasta dishes, but both were very tiny. I'm not sure if portions were small just because it was Summerliscious, but I probably wouldn't go back for dinner as a result.

Quince has been in the neighbourhood for a long time. The food here is consistently excellent and we continue to return. We begin with the endive salad and the mushroom tart. Both are exceptional although the mushroom tart is so full of delicious mushrooms in a warm and rich crust that it could be a small meal in itself. The Quince cocktail was a great opener and as I like it: not overly boozy, tasting like summer! Our mains are equally well prepared. I order the special scallops, 3 plump perfectly executed and browned pieces on a succotash of fresh corn and potatoes, etc with a broth that enhances the sweetness of the scallops. My husband declares the chicken is the best he's ever tasted.Of course we order Quince's frites. A great meal.

Quince is one of our favourite restaurants so we are definitely biased in its favour, but justifiably so we think . The owners and staff treat us like family, the food is always good and we leave feeling we have had a wonderful evening. We particularly like the fact that we can bring our own wine on Tuesdays with no corkage so we usually go with good friends and bring a couple of great wines to share. We love this place.

Great decor and atmosphere. The menu was concise and provided enough variety for the different preferences at our table. It was odd that two of their specials were out of stock before 6:30. Everything our table ordered was delicious. The pastas (gnocchi and paperdelle) and the desserts were delicious. Service was great, but the waiting staff fell behind as the restaurant got busier and forgot my wife's tea. I would recommend this place.

Our first experience at this restaurnat was very good, but not so much the second time. We had a reservation for 7:15 and, when our party ordered, we were told they were already out of two of the items we wanted. Not good for early on a Friday night. The staff were too busy to give enough atention to the number of people dining and the service was slow. We'll probably come back sometime, but not for a while.

My husband and I visited Quince for a last minute celebration of selling our home. The retaurant was able to accommodate us on short notice. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. When he found out that it was a special dinner he brought out complimentary ice wine for us at the end of the meal. We really enjoyed the food. I had the roasted Halibut special and it was cooked perfectly with excellent flavours. My husband had the Gnocchi which was definitely great comfort food! Both of us felt that we would definitely go back- hopefully next time with friends to share the experience!
