Inspite of being a beautiful restaurant with good service, the food seems to suffer from declining quality.. Since we were in a large group, we got to sample a number of dishes, and while everything was OK, nothing stood out the way it used to. The portions seem to keep getting smaller, so I don't see either value or taste, just a nice place to hang out with friends..

Server, food, and ambiance were all fabulous. We selected from the small plates menu to share and everything was delicious - quail, duck salad rolls, oysters, lamb, and a huge portion of calamari. The server was friendly and accommodating regarding our Groupon (not always the case at all restaurants) and made a stellar drink recommendation. We would love to go back, but it's a bit beyond our means without the Groupon. Not necessarily overpriced when compared to other area restaurants of the same caliber, but definitely expensive.

The food was bland and had no taste. The scorpion shrimp rolls had zero taste. The shrimp dish was OK, not great. I expected to be wow'd by the food and was so disappointed. The service was ok; the waiter was not attentive and didn't come by to check on us. And, then to add insult to injury, the waiter added his tip to the bill. There were 2 of us and he added 20% tip. Not cool!! I do not recommend 3seasons and will never go back. Not worth the prices.

We dine at Three Seasons a few times a year. I have never been disappointed with their food, service, or drinks. This is a fantastic restaurant with a very unique menu. The shaking beef, baby back ribs, sea bass, and traditional rolls are our favorites.

Our second visit for dinner at Three Seasons did not disappoint with great seafood potstickers, five spice lamb chops, steamed sea bass and eggplant dishes. The loud bar area and surrounding tables prompted us to sit outside. Pleasant courtyard tables were fine but the service lagged. Our guest loved every dish and stated she 'd return claiming the lamb was the best preparation she had ever had anywhere.

the food was subpar, over priced, and over rated. garlic noodles were sweet and had no garlic taste. the ahi tuna spring roll and lemon grass chicken both lacked flavor. for a place that charges so much i would think they wouldn't send out dishes on chipped plates.

Overpriced, some dishes are OK, others skip. The bus boy kept coming to take the plates when we were only half way through eating. Portions are small and expensive. There are many better options in Palo Alto for a better price. Thankfully we had a groupon offer, otherwise the price would of been crazy.

Three season is beautiful, services were outstanding. The reason i give a four stars overall and a 3 stars only for food is I'm asian and I know how asian food should taste like. I was not impressed with the claypot catfish or the soft shell crab rolls and the dessert (The Trio) was disappointed. The shaking beef was very delicious and tender, drink was good too. What the food quality, its a bit overpriced. For the ambiance and services, it's worth a try!

The Three Seasons restaurant is a nice place to have conversation. It is a unique building with a dome stained glass ceiling and lots of dark wood. We sat at a table upstairs where you get a neat view of the restaurant. The bar is small but we had a fun time with some specialty drinks and the sampler appetizer. The entrees were a bit expensive and probably would not dine here unless we had the Groupon discount certificate.

We ordered three entrees for three people - the veggie fried rice, the catfish claypot (with white rice) and the mango and shrimp salad. We split the entrees between three people. The catfish was tasty; the meat melted in your mouth and the sauce, though strong, complemented the catfish and went well with the white rice. The salad was light and refreshing and interestingly so was the fried rice; the latter was an atypical and not unpleasant experience. Overall, it was a positive outing for us. Our only quibble, and a minor one at that, is that the portions seemed a bit small for the total bill (~$60 not including tip). On the other hand, it may be because of the items we ordered.

I visited for the first time on Valentine's Day on honeymoon with my new husband. I'd made the reservation 3 1/2 weeks in advance, wanting our first Valentine's as a married couple to be nice. Upon arrival, the hostess admonished me for "not calling her back", rolled her eyes, and said she'd see if she could find a table. I had no missed calls on my phone. She sat us in the corner, next to the bar upstairs used for making drinks for the diners. The bartender occasionally dropped the shaker or a glass, spraying liquid over my head onto my plate. Our waiter was nice, but not great. The food was fine, but not great. The drink was really strong, which I normally wouldn't like, but it helped me ignore the unpleasantness. Very sad night.

My wife and I like to find a restaurant where we can order several small plates to share. We typically order drinks and start with two dishes to share. When finished, we then decide what to order next. This allows us to take our time and be able to talk between dishes. Three Seasons is a perfect spot to have this type of meal. There are many small plates items on the menu. We ended up with a total of four small plates, two glasses of wind and a sake. I would try to get a table upstairs. It is a little less busy and noisy up there. All in all, a very nice dining experience.

Interesting choices of small and large plates. Enjoyed the several small plates that we shared. We'll go back and explore the menu. Only drawback, is that the chairs are tall and thus, it is not as comfortable as usual 16-17" chairs, even with resting our legs on the footrest (not a comfortable position for either of us).

I went here for the second time this month and was disappointed compared to my first visit. The meal I wanted to get again did not taste the same as my prior visit. My husband's meal, the Shaking Beef, was really good though. We asked for help picking out dairy-free dishes but the server did not go out of her way by asking the kitchen to help us. She was also too overwhelmed serving a large party to pay much attention to us. The hostess also told us to wait upon our arrival, even though we had reservations, and then came up 15 minutes later and asked if we had been helped. After this visit, I don't think I will go back anytime soon.

The location is fun, tucked into car-free plaza behind University Avenue. In summer, the outdoor seats would be really tempting. The inside is large, two stories, fairly inviting, some tables more so than others. Our table was rather dark and isolated. Service was friendly, knowlegable, and competent. The small plate menu is extensive and it was fun to be able to try lots of different things. The food was delicious if a little predictable and on the heavy side. All in all, we enjoyed it and would go back.

I've had good luck at 3 Seasons in the past, but my lunch experience last week was not good. Two of us were served and a third had to wait an extra 10 minutes for her food to arrive. I was there at 11:30 AM, right around opening time for lunch. The restaurant was very quiet. Service was quick, but the waiters lacked finesse. I can't have gluten but had to ask the waiter dish by dish if the noodle was rice or flour noodles. Settled down for the usual. The jicama salad and the veggie rolls were crisp and delicious.

I'd had a recent lunch experience that was excellent, so I went for dinner. Some dishes, like the crab purses were wonderful. Nothing was bad, but much of it was forgettable. But things like "Fun Bites" and "Happy Buns" made me feel like I was at Denny's. The decorations and interior are among the best in Palo Alto. Service was attentive and pleasant.
