2nd time eating dinner at the Moshulu. Food and service very good both times. Only complaint is the $10 for parking. I feel that they should validate parking as the cost for 2 (with 2 drinks apiece) was $200 with tip.

We had a wonderful experience with the sunday jazz brunch. I only wish that the outside decks had been open. there were several private parties taking place, which prevented us from seeing the entire ship. The food was excellent and plentiful. My husband and I can't wait for the warmer months when we can return and enjoy your nightlife and outside dining. We will be back!

Though we've dined here for dinner before, this was the first time we had brunch onboard. Pretty good spread, with a nice selection of entrees on the menu. Great table with lots of room to spread out. Food was good--not great, but good. Particularly enjoyed the diverse items on the dessert buffet. And, overall, it was a very good value. The only blemish on our visit was one of our diners received a lip-stick smudged glass of Kir Royale that she had to send back. Otherwise, very enjoyable, and we'll certainly dine there for Sunday brunch again.

We were seated at the very end of one of the dining rooms, which was next to a door, apparently which led to a service or kitchen area. The noise from that door was very loud and distracting. Also, several other tables of patrons noted banging from the other side of a wall behind us. That area may have also been part of the kitchen or pantry perhaps. But banging on the wall during dinner was noticed by multiple people dining there.

The food was outstanding. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and it was the perfect place to have dinner. The view was amazing and the food was even better. We even received a complimentary dessert because of the special occasion. The bartender and our waiter, Joshua, were excellent hosts. We hope to return to the Moshulu very soon.

Very well-prepared, moderately creative food; surprisingly large servings (two of us shared an appetizer and salad, then only half-finished our entres...fortunately, doggie bags). Better than average wines and service. Unique ambiance and view were wonderful. Moderately pricey, but fair value for the price, making it a special and semi-special occasion restaurant...once a month or so.

My date and I made reservations not knowing what we would find. I had driven by the Moshulu on many occasions and it had looked like a really fun place to spend an evening dining and sharing drinks. What we got when we sat down was way beyond what I ever expected. The lights were dimmed and each table was illuminated by candle light. The music was soft and romantic. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. She explained everything and made suggestions. We started with salads and the presentation was extraordinary. Our entrees were excellent. Dessert was almost too beautiful to eat. I can't say enough good things about the Moshulu. The atmosphere was breezy and romantic. It was amazing. We will definitly be back.

However they forgot to bring a meal, and out waitress had us waiting 20 mins before we could grab anyone, service wasnt all that great. $$ was taken off the bill, but its not the fact, i was expecting to pay for quality service, food, and atmosphere. Fell short of the service.

Not such a great experience. The waiter took 20 min to take drink orders, another thirty to return to take orders for the entree. The set up was a buffet for 1st course and dessert, they probably should have kept with the buffet concept for the 2nd course. I ordered pancakes, they came thin and chewy in consistancy. I also was disappointed with the cleanliness of this high-end restaurant. The dishes were poorly washed with pieces of food on the first three I picked up. My spoon had dried liquid on the bowl. One of the busboys smelled horrible,And to top it off, when he brought a tall pile of bowls to place by the buffet, he actually supported it with his chin placed in the top bowl, which he left for some unsuspecting soul to use!

Everything was wonderful, except for the bill--there was a charge for a beer that we did not order. The charge was removed and the receipt was brought back, but this time with a charge for a diet pepsi that we did not order. We let it go because we started to feel uncomfortable at this point, but just be sure to check your receipt before paying. Everything else was truly spectacular--the food, the service, and the ambiance.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 4/6/2008
I was disappointed with the atmosphere. We went because we wanted to take my dad somewhere special for his birthday (ie: not the local Olive Garden), but we might as well have gone to the Olive Garden. The Moshulu website specifies that appropriate attire is required, and I would expect as much for a moderately-priced Sunday champagne brunch, but there were plenty of guests wearing jeans and children in ratty sweatshirts. I would have liked the restaurant to enforce their dress code, especially on a Sunday. Also, it would be very helpful if they could set up their buffet so that two lines of people could access it at once, as the lengthy wait in line was not particularly enjoyable. I have more to say, but am out of space :(

The table we were seated at had full tables surrounding so it was pretty noisy for a while and we had to shout at each other to be heard (group of 8). As others left their tables, it was much quieter and enjoyable. Our waitress was a little slow, but overall the service was good. Food was very very good.

Friendly greetings and service, warm surroundings and good food with a fine wine list. Room can be somewhat noisy due to lack of separation between large groups and other tables, and the low hard ceilings. I have been there several times and never had a bad meal or poor service. On the last occasion we met a friend who had just flown in from Houston and he had no trouble finding the restaurant coming directly from the airport. It's also convenient after an event at the sports complex area.

I will NEVER go back to this restaraunt. The reservation we made was at 8. We arrived at 7:45 and di not get seated until 9:00. We went to the bar for a drink while we were waiting and 1 bartender was working, on a Saturday night. It took 25 minutes to get a drink and it was not even crowded. Waiter was TERRIBLE. Paid me no attention at all and was oggling my wife the entire evening. Got the order wrong, Charred my $40 steak, and I had to ask him on multiple times to clear plates we were through with. Vehicle WAS NOT started and running as valet promised, and I got sick from the food when I got home. I, my entire family, everyone I work with, and everyone I know and come into contact with will NEVER eat there again. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Moshulu was an overall average fin dining experience with a little extra from the setting. The ambiance and the setting are really what makes this a place ou have to go at least once. The food was good but not amazing. No negative comments regarding the food it just did not blow me away. The service was god ad friendly. My only complaint was the wine list. It was very overpriced. I have seen the same wines on other restaurants lists for up to a third cheaper. But I guess you have to pay for the setting. We enjoyed ourselves very much and would recommend it for people looking something a little different.

I was looking forward to this dinner and was so disappointed in my experience that I cannot recommend this restaurant. The ambiance was incredible and our waitress was about as good as one could be yet the chef made my diet coke taste good. I ordered a simple New York strip steak cooked medium and they had to redo it three times before it was pink in the middle. Each time I cut the steak in the middle and found it nearly raw. The steak was chopped up by the time it was done right and reminded me of sirloin tips without the sauce. It was tasteless as well. I can’t help but think a Morton’s or Capitol Grill would have started over after the first time rather then try a salvage job. That degraded the whole event for me but kudos for our waitre

Moshulu has continued to meet or exceed expectations over the years, through several management/ownership changes. Food is excellent, though not overly imaginative. Service is superb. Being on a well converted ship adds a new level of ambience that would be hard to match in a regular restaurant. In summer can eat on deck or have cocktails on deck. Great place for special occassions - small group or even moderate sized. Have excellent catering service.
