  • I really like this restaurant
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007

I really like this restaurant but I think they over book given the prices. I have been there at least three times now and on each ocassion, we have spent at least $600. This past Saturday, I had a 7 pm reservation for a party of four. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty we had a quick drink at the bar and sat down for dinner around 7:30. We ordered three courses, and also had coffee and after dinner drinks. At around 10 pm, my party was asked to move to the bar before I had finished my after dinner coffee and drink. A 3-course meal, with after dinner drinks is going to run around 2 and 1/2 hours at a fine restaurant. If they are going to charge 5 star prices, they can't expect to flip a table every 2 hours.

there is a wide variety of bovine related foods here (buffalo, kobe, regular beef), as well as other dishes. Meat Market offers more than the traditional steak house, which is a nice addition to the Beach. Cocktails were excellent. Mac n cheese - I didn't love it. But I thought the amuse bouche was good and we had a nice app - salmon and sweet potato pancake. I had the buffalo, which is a lean meat and it was prepared nicely and tasted good.

This place is very good. I have been to most of the nicer places in Miami. I would come here again. Nice place to bring your wife/date, or clients you want to impress. The mushrooms are unique and amazing. The steak was very good. My wife loved the fish and was talking about it for days after. I should say the service was excellent. The staff had a a consistently good attitude, rare for miami. They seemed well trained and were very attentive....again, rare for miami. Dinner for two with two drinks, tax and tip was about $160. Not over priced for a meal this good.

This place was way over priced for the service and food. I was not impressed at all. The waiter tried to be over attentive when he was there and then dissappeared at least once...maybe twice. I would not visit again.

A new york upscale steak place in south beach. Food was interesting. Steaks were cooked perfect, raw fish was fresh and prepared well. Its still seemed lacking. they seem to like to use Ghoda cheese allot. I like the cheese but it was in two dishes we ordered(mac and cheese very heavy which did not stand well with my 5 year old) not a place i would take kids unless they have a expanded taste in food (no chicken at all on the menu. great place to see and be scene. very pricey...

  • The food pretty much lived
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006
    Dined on 1/23/2009
The food pretty much lived up to the hype (except for the barley risotto, which was rather bland). The buffalo filet was absolutely delicious; however, beef filet is better elsewhere on the beach. If you want to start with a beer, try the Bavarian beerstube next door before you arrive at the MM -- their list is paltry. Once you move onto wine, however, there's plenty of choice for everyone on the reasonably constructed list ... even a few relative bargains. The service was a bit pushy but not obnoxious. We had an early booking and it was obvious they wanted to turn the table sooner rather than later when the hostess came around a few times checking progress. A little more discretion is advised. I will certainly dine here again.

Very pricey but worth it. Excellent wine list. This is located on Lincoln street which is a very popular location in Miami right by South Beach. If you are looking for some great red meat this is the place. the 16oz bone in filet was huge and prepared perfectly It was marinated in some kind of coffee concoction that I wasn't thrilled with it but he like it.I got the small 6oz strip steak cooked to perfection. They have all these butters and sauces that you can purchase. My sweety bought the garganzola butter and I bought the wild mushroom sauce. This sauce was incredible. Everything is ala cart so we purchased the yukon mash with truffle oil. It came in a little jar more like a serving for one, We also got the creamed spinach. Very lively
