We have been to Solea a few times while visiting my daughter at Brandeis. The food is great, the restaurant is beautiful. The one drawback is that it is difficult to navigate the menu with a group larger than 4. We were 6 people on Saturday night. The portions, because it is tapas, are meant to be small. However, it is difficult and sometimes awkward when you have to divide a chicken empanada that is about 2 inches. The waiter was happy to bring more food when we saw the size of some plates and needed to get enough to go around. It is amazing how quickly the bill can climb that way! I strongly recommend the artichoke and spinch fritters. Although I didn't have any, the rest of my table was not thrilled with the banana cheesecake.

Food was top notch. Not a complaint on anything from the bread to the six tapas we ordered. Service was excellent as well. Decor very appealing and comfortable. Close quarters, so not a private romantic experience. Main dining room lighting is a little too bright for my liking for dinner, but the bar area and front room dining are better. I will definitely visit again.

solea was busy, but a perfect romantic dinner date for a married couple who don't get out often. Parking was difficult to find, but the experience was worth the hassle. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes tapas and Spanish cuisine.

It's great to get to try many different foods in one meal. Our only complaint is that we had a 9:00 reservation and were not seated until after 9:20. When we were seated, we noticed 4 other open tables. Don't know what took so long...or why we bothered making reservations if they didn't matter...

Like most tapas places has excellent variety of foods for vegetarians. For veggies that sometimes eat fish, their cold salmon tapas ("Tostones") on plantain chips w/salsa chutney is fantastic. Desserts leave something to be desired. Their banana cheesecake tastes like nothing in particular but particularly nothing good. The crepe with berries and caramel sauce is decent but ends up more as "a pile of caramel sauce with some crepe and berries too." Overall the food is excellent with a great wine list and wine by the glass that is good, not just 'cheap seconds.' Highly recommended.

We love the food and have gone many times. The only complaint is they have poor dessert chocies. We love their century of port tasting, but there isn't a nice chocolate or creme brule dish to compliment the port.

We went their as a group and brought my 19 month old son. The food was good. We just kept ordering various tapas dishes till we got full. Our waiter was OK, we were on the dining side on a Saturday afternoon so it was quiet compared to the bar side so I think the waiter was just busier over there and forgot about us every once in awhile. This was not a large issue though since they were all pleasant. I would go back. The only thing to keep in mind that if you are going in a group that it can get a bit pricey with the tapas dishes and everyone should agree up front that they are going to split the check evenly or you will never be able to figure it out. It you are going with people who are price conscious you may want rethink it.

Solea has delicious food, a great atmosphere, and a fun and interesting menu. My wife and I love going to Solea. It's a great tapas restaurant. I love the blackberry duck, and get it everytime I go. Solea is a great date restaurant of even fun to go with a bunch of friends and share a bunch of plates. For two people we usually get 5 dishes. It's not a bad price for a fun night out. I definetly recommend checking out Solea for a fun and scrumptious dinner.

Nice ambience & decor. Very clean!! It was our first time to a Tapas restaurant & our waitress was not helpful in helping us determine the menu. Another couple sat at the table next to us in the same situation & was in the same boat & the same, waitress was even less help. We were half way through our meal so I offered my help to them with what we already knew. Our first tapas an avocado with mango & crab was a little fishy tasting, however the other seafood courses we had were very good! My only complaint is about the tables, along the walls are too close to the neighbours table & it's hard to have a private conversation. I also felt seated too far from each other at these tables, so these not for those looking to be romantic.

Solea has great variety in both its food and wine list. The tapas are outstanding and the wine list is well thought out and very interesting. The food is very flavorful and extremely well prepared and presented. The staff is very friendly and does a great job. Fun atmosphere, great food, great service. It was a little loud though, but we did get use to it over time. They have round tables so you are able to see all those in your party, making it more social. Great place to celebrate a birthday (which is why we were there). They also have smaller tables for couples and it would be a great place to go for "date night"

In fact, that was our meal (about 8 appetizers and Sangria) The service was very good too. The wait staff seemed to be attentive and understanding of getting our food to us asap. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and come back again!
