The appetizers were very good, the brushetta was my favorite. Dinner was a little different, not what I was expecting. The seating was cramped and I didn't like sitting so close to other guests. Going to the restroom was a maze and not a clear path.

This was my second trip to Carpaccio. The first experience was wonderful...the food so good I couldn't wait to try the entree again. On Tuesday, it was uninspiring as was the choices my guests had. Their signature mac and cheese with truffles was dry! I was very disappointed. Anyone can have an off night but this was really off.

Perhaps I was expecting too much for the special birthday dinner I had planned for my husband and myself. I did not mind that the restaurant was energetic. I wished it had been more romantic. We both loved the food, especially the rosotos. However, the service was very inattentive and attention to detail was boardering on non-existent. We had to ask the waiter to replace the chipped wine glass. The host did not know that this was a special occasion and did not ask. Our table was placed next to the kitchen.....this says it all. Loved the food, perhaps the bar or take out is the way to go at this restaurant.

Great food is the main reason I will return. The tables were small and close which did not lend itself to an intimate dinner. The person next to me was closer than my dining companion. But the food, wow! I loved the imported mozzerella and the bread basket as much as my dinner. I would recommend this place to friends. We were there early, but I bet the wine bar would be fun. The wine list on the dinner menu was somewhat limited.

I could just eat the bread!YUM Pastas light and flavorful although the lamb pasta is not as rated as the others. Cappacio,so many selectons. The mezze Bellezza del mare was exquisite, a seafood salsa perfectly prepared. The la vera mozzarella was delicious, especially the buffaloe mozzarella - could have used a couple more tomato wedges. The risotto with salmon was slightly undercooked (center of the rice was hard)however the linguini sofia loren was cooked perfectly - quite a nice presentation. Service was attentive although the server appeared to be new to this type of activity. All in all a good experience and we will go back and will recommend to others.

Capaccio is a great place for a late evening dinner. The restaurant is tendy and hip inside, and the food was wonderful. There wasn't anything that we didn't enjoy. The tomato and mozzarella appetizer is truly a gem and was perfectly seasoned. The eggplant parmigiana was a delight. The chocolate hazelnut gelato was a great dessert choice. All in all, I would highly recommend Carpaccio. we had a great time!

Outdoor seating is excellent, "a little" reminiscent of sitting at a cafe or restaurant in Rome or Venice, the outdoor fountain helps separate the street traffic - most will not be disappointed. Service is very good, staff was knowledgeable of the menu items and quick to accommodate small changes. The pizza pieces & breads offered at seating were tasty, Calamari was a little under done to our liking, but two excellent sauces accompany with a generous mezze portion shared by two. Dinner entree's were on the smaller size in comparison to the owners other restaurant - Squisitos. Pappardelle Donatello lacked zesty flavor, mingon was tender as expected and gorgonzola offered good finish. We plan to return, knowing the history of their food.

It's difficult to rate the noise as we decided to eat on their patio which was not too far from the street. The evening was nice and the fountain beautiful, but if they were able to install a "tallish" plant barrier next to the street, it should help the noise, and appearance, tremendously. The inside looked as though it was quiet enough, but the restaurant is new and the patronage level low. But from our recent experience, this should change.

Stick to salads, traditional pasta and parmigiania dishes or pizza. Contempory interior.,soft feel, inviting, service a bit rushed.

This was our first time dining at Carpaccio. We enjoyed it and we would definitely return. It was very busy so we were glad we had made a reservation. The extensive menu offers a good range of prices and choices which we liked. It was Friday evening and there were lots of people dining outdoors and the bar area was very crowded. The noise level was quite high, which doesn't lend itself to a quiet, romantic dinner, but some would say it has a hip, energetic "vibe." We enjoyed our meals (seafood very nicely prepared) and would like to return in the future to try the small plates (mesa), the pizza, and the brunch.

We were hoping to find a small, intimate family run Italian restaurant like we were used to in upstate New York. This was not like that but still intimate, classy but casual, friendly staff, knowledgeable attentive service, very good food, a nice evening. My only negative was the music was did not match the relaxed setting and was a bit too loud and distractive for my preference, however I chose not to ask for it to be adjusted. I would go back again.

good food, decent/pricey wine list, loud, lousy wait-staff. hah! we'll be back. we had an energetic but lousy, unfocused waiter... i assume wait staff will improve. had reservations but had to wait to get seated. waiter was prompt to our table but could not get the requisite pre-dinner basket of bread until mid-way through our dinner. we both had a glass of wine; wanted to try different italian wines; wine was flat. buy a bottle! appetizers were fair - nothing special. main course- pasta dishes - very good. although a critical review - nice addition to the naptown scene. we'll come back. side note: need to replace the "hip" dinner plates/bowls and accessories ala salt and pepper shakers - and find some that work.

The atmosphere is very nice inside and loads of seating outside facing West Street. We ordered the fried Calamari that was very tender with a thin crisp coating and served with two sauces. One entree was veal scallopine w/ spaghatti that one could probably get anywhere but the presentation was nice. The second entree was venison w/figs and a port wine served with asparagus and sliced potatoes that was very good. The veal was tender and the port wine sauce was excellent. The cocktails served were ice cold and delicious. The service, ambiance and food make this a must try and certainly a return trip for us.

Despite an inattentive host, and staff lacking area knowledge when we called (a wrong phone number from their website), we had an enjoyable evening. The calamari was fresh, the risotto croquettes divine. We believe, though, that the chef on Monday had a heavy hand with the salt. Both our pasta dishes had the elements to make them spectacular if it were not for overwhelming salt. Dessert seemed to be lacking in creativity, but their espresso was fantastic... Overall we would give this place another try, and plan to do so a bit after they've worked out their newly-opened kinks...

Our 7:30 reservation didn't mean much, and it was after 8 by the time we were seated. We had concert tickets for 9, just down the street, and our order wasn't taken until 8:25. It was a very busy restaurant. We told our waiter that we had only 15 minutes and what could he recommend to get served and eaten in that time frame, since we had to rush off. We ordered 2 carpaccio dishes and a mozzarella dish along with a bottle of wine. All were served up with amazing speed, as was the request for the check. I look forward to returning to the restaurant when we have the time to dine!
