Had the duck tacos as an appetizer than the pork belly and a bacon blue burger. The tacos were great, the pork belly was exquisite. So tender there was no need for a knife. Well priced, quality ingredients and great atmosphere. Will go back soon.

My girlfriend and I stopped by Glenn Prairie when she was in town visiting me in the west suburbs of Chicago. She's huge into humanely and locally raised food, so I won some points here! I got the bison steak and she got the salmon - both fantastic dishes. The unexpected highlight was the rustic hummus. Simple delicious. They come with veggies and these little pita "donuts" - definitely not the most healthy but I mean, come on, these were just insanely tasty. I probably ate too many as I filled up before my meal, but hey, what can you do. All in all a great experience and will be heading back there for A) the free appetizer coupon they gave us for next time (see, more hummus, yes!) and B) some more great food and quality, caring service.

We were going to a concert in Aurora and were looking for a different place to eat on the way along the I88 corridor. What a wonderful find! Fresh local food prepared skillfully. Very tasty. Reservation was honored even though others were waiting. Service was fast and efficient. Don't let the location scare you away. Normally restaurants in hotels aren't worth the effort. This is a wonderful exception.

We sat in the bar area- very busy and a TV was on. The set-up we were at was a round table- too big for two- had trouble hearing each other. Turned out lots of groups came in after us before a local high school dance- daughters and dads. Food was great. Split a salad- one entree pasta the other skirt steak. Excellent decaf coffee. Next time we will sit away from bar on other side of wall. We have been here multiple times and the food has been consistently great.

Found this restaurant on Open Table! The farm to table menu is something we like to take advantage of. It did not disappoint. We had the Espresso rubbed pork tenderloin and Pike. Both were fabulous. The mac and cheese is a dish they are known for and came with the fish. Very good! Great drink menu and service. We will be back!!!

My husband and I had a great time on Valentine's Day. Our server was professional and attentive. Our food was a delicious dining experience. We can't wait to go back and we have shared our joy with everyone we know - church friends, neighbors, co-workers. Chef Danny presents a great dining experience, and Glen Prairie proves to please their guests. The bartender was fast, friendly and handled that busy bar quite well. The hostesses kept up with a busy evening, and seated people as they were able. Even though it was a busy night, the flow went smoothly, and there were plenty of places to sit and wait, without it being uncomfortable. Lovely atmosphere.

Valentines dinner. Abbreviated menu including a fixed price 3-course meal. I had Baked Oysters with bits of bacon (superb), a very good chile braised beef shortrib, and their flourless chocolate cake. My wife ordered off the menu: chopped kale and apple salad, Sea scallops, and closed with the creme brulee. The Sea Scallops were by far the star of the night. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Trudy, our server, was super freindly and provided out of this world service, which thankfully took the edge off my irritation of having to wait 30 minutes despite reservations and the bar area being so packed we were constantly asked to move as servers tried to access their tables (ended up retreating into the hotel lobby to wait for our table).

First off, let me say that we've dined at Glen Prairie in the past and it's always been wonderful and we'll be back...just never on. Valentines day! We made a reservation a month ahead of time however, when we arrived they informed us that there would be about a 20 minute wait. Anyway, we finally got seated about 20 minutes later and then we sat at our table and waited - no water, no bread, just waited. About 10 minutes later a server greeted us and then about 5-10 minutes after that we at least received some water. Our wine did not come for a while. We order off the valentines day menu and everything was tasty - especially the oyster starter.and the short ribs. other problems included missing silverware and no champagne (email special)

Glen Prairie was wonderful. The menu selection is fantastic and the food is superb. We went during restaurant week, and while we opted to make selections off of the full menu, the prix fixe options sounded divine. The food was fresh, and the cuts of meat were top of the line from great grass-fed sources. Presentation and service was excellent and I can't wait to return. Glen Prairie also offers a new dining rewards program which we signed up for. I am looking forward to returning and accumulating points.

We ate on Friday at 6:30 on and the restaurant had a good mix of patrons. Service was efficient, kind and lots of delicious choices. We were seated on the dinner side and not the bar side. We were able to have a great conversation and enjoy our meal. The bar side was active but not overbearing and it would be an enjoyable place to stop another time.

My son and I went to dinner expecting to have a good dinner, but nothing spectacular. We had the roasted beet with arugula bruschetta. It was fantastic. Both of us were really impressed with the entire meal and the service. Come to find out there is a new manager, and the service and good were excellent. My husband and I had been to this restaurant several years ago, and the service was terrible, the food was just okay, and we had pretty much decided not to go back. I can tell you that we definitely will be back now.

On Christmas Day we had dinner around 5pm. Our waitress (Trudy) introduced herself and seemed pleasant. We ordered our dinner and did not want any drinks other than water. Our waitress never stopped back to see if we needed anything else. They add an 18% gratuity to all meals. Our service did not deserve an 18% tip and I really don't like restaurants that automatically add a tip. No incentive to the staff to excel at customer service. The food was good but nothing over the top and the poor customer service really takes away from the meal. No one from the restaurant even stopped to ask if we needed anything. The manager or owner walked past our table several times and never acknowledged us until after we paid and were leaving.

The scenery in Glen Prairie is unique, but not overly-exhilarating. We started with the stuffed jalapeños, which were good, but lacked the full amount if flavor I believe they could have had. The main entrees, the espresso rubbed pork tenderloin and the pike were amazing. The tenderloin had the perfect amount of coffee flavor and the pork was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the tenderloin. The pike was a bit more mild, but was very full and it was obvious that it was very fresh. The drinks were creative and tasteful, and the service was very attentive. I wouldn't be hesitant to visit again.

Great experience! The food was great, and the service very well done. Very attentive server (Brianna) made us feel very well taken care of. My wife has sensitivities to food, and the menu was very diverse as well as organic and had gluten free options everywhere. Exotic and delicious bison ribeye was tender and flavorful. Not too crowded, but had a great vibe. Don't be put off by it being in a hotel or else you will really miss out. Dessert of creme brulee and a fresh berry zabaglione was fantastic.

I went to Glen Prairie with my husband and two sons. I ordered steak, along with one of my sons. We said medium well and they were rare. My son sent his back. I decided to eat mine but it wasn't very tender. Disappointed. Our waiter had an arrogance about him which was unfortunate. His attempt at being friendly came off as insincere. It was our first time at the restaurant. We decided we won't be returning. The atmosphere is nice but the food wasn't good enough for us to return.

Found this restaurant going through the Open Table list. It seemed to be different and the food sounded good. I took my friend there for her birthday. We decided to try appetizers since they sounded so good and forgo an entree. We had the beet bruschetta which was delicious. Every flavor of the ingredients could be tasted. Then, we tried the duck tacos, which were also delicious. The pork belly sliders are special. They are succulent without being greasy. Wonderful. Lastly, we had the mac and cheese with the pulled pork. I did not grow up eating any kind of mac and cheese and never order it in restaurants, but it was our understanding that it was a signature dish. It was terrific. All in al, our experience was very positive.

So I've been going to GP for a long time now because of their gluten free menu. Last year about this time they had different appetizers and more seasonal specials. Not sure why this has changed, but I've been looking at the exact same menu since January, I think. What happened to seasonal things corn cakes with avacado salsa? I love this place but I'm getting a little bored. Maybe they can't offer as many specials on weeknights, but do something seasonally with the menu! After all it's supposed to be locally sourced, so some things should be more abundant at certain times of the year (and not just on Friday and Saturday nights. The wait staff is, as always, outstanding. The food is excellent. I'm just looking for a little variety here.
