I had done a good bit of research as to where to eat in the niagara falls & Niagara on the lake on our day trip from Toronto and I had very high expectations of Peller Estate and was afraid that there wasn't any possibility that it could live up to my expectation but in fact it surpassed them. The food, wine, setting, service, ambiance, value were outstanding and worth the drive from Toronto. Lunch of a life time and super memories.

While the falls in itself is, of course, magnificent - a visit to Pellery Winery is a true testament that there is more to Niagara than just the typical tourist attractions. Service was superb and the prix fixe menu can't be beat with the outstanding food and excellent wine to accompany each entree. We traveled with our 2-year old and they more than accommodating to her needs while most places who may not even be as classy as Pellery may have frowned on having a child in such a pristine restaurant. I highly recommend Pellery Wine restaurant. It is a true gem that is worth discovering!

Thank you for a fine dining experience. The food was very good and the ambience & view breathtaking! The only suggestion I would give is to offer more vegetables with the meat or fish. In my opinion, the main course should offer a fine balance of protein and vegetables. Thank you for offering me a forum to articulate my experience. It was wonderful! We will definitely come again!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Generally enjoyed the dining experience with a couple of exceptions. Pesky flies do detract from fully enjoying the dining experience. Menu should offer more basics, for example, a stand alone salad would have been nice to see on the menu. Entrees seemed almost a bit too specialized. Again, a standard chicken dish would have been nice.

Greeting and service were fine, though server seemed overextended. Prix fix is a good value as is the optional wine tasting pairing. Appetizers of soup and watermelon/salmon salad was excellent, as was the main course of lamb sirloin, beautifully presented. However, as the chef has a propensity to cook red meats bleu rare, the server should ask how the guest would like it done to avoid having to send it back for re-cooking. The pastry chef however, has no reason to be proud of the raspberry tart. Stodgy filling and heavy, underbaked, tasteless crust, ridiculously tiny scoop of accompanying ice cream. I would return to Pellar...this was not our first visit....however, next time I would send such a dessert back to the kitchen.

The day when we went to your restaurant was our wedding anniversary. I notified you of it in advance, so you lived up to our expectations very much. We were very satisfied. However, when I requested it in the online reservation form, there was no reply about it, so I was worried about whether you would do something for us. I hope that you will make any response to the request. Thank you.

Not happy. I made reservations online for four (4) people at 8:30. After driving nearly four hours we were looking forward to a fine dining experience but when we arrived we were told that the reservation I made was for two people and they did not have a table for us. After waiting 40 minutes they finally set a table outside on the patio. The next day while continuing our vacation I found the reservation printout I made and guess what... it was for 4 people.

Very accommodating to my dietary requests. Lovely ambiance, if a little pretentious, and knowledgeable server. The appetizers and main were good the dessert was not: a "nori" roll of apples, strawberry pear and pepper, in a glutenous wonton-type wrapper, too hard to cut and odd tasting "sauce".

This is a restaurant fit for tourists in the Niagara region. I was especially disgruntled by the microsopic portions of lobster carpaccio given its price on the menu. The flounder was dry and did not taste fresh although the accompaniments and plate were nice. The main thing going for the restaurant is the scenery. I would not return.

The experience at the winery was fabulous, I'm still raving about it to others days later. We started our adventure at the wine bar where the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We then proceeded to the restaurant where we were able to sit outside along the vines, what a beautiful day and experience. The food and wine pairings were out of this world, we really enjoyed it. After lunch we picked up a few bottles in the shop before heading home. The only thing we did not take part in was the tour of the winery which we will have to save for our next visit. I would recommend this experience to anyone. Special kudos to our server Lu, she was outstanding. Anna-Maria de Mello

It doesn't get any better; it's a notch above Washington's Le Paradou with more unique food, less stuffy service. Absolutely everything is prepared with wine--even the butter--but you can still walk after a three hour tasting. The accompanying wine price is very reasonable. If you want chicken or steak or a chop this is not your place; they have none of the old standbys. If you want things that you can't make and that other restaurants can't or won't make, this is your place.

We're from NY and have visited Peller Estates several times in the past, generally with guests. This time our guests were the President of a PA University (USA)and his wife. They have traveled the world and have dined in many fine restaurants, as have we. We enjoyed a delightful, unhurried, delicious and beautifully presented and served lunch at Peller Estates last weekend. We were all quite quite impressed. A great lunch and afternoon in Niagara-on-the-Lake! the town is one of our favorite places to take out of town guests and, although it can get very crowded, the Peller Estates restaurant is a lovely place to find good food and a quiet, restful atmosphere. We're never disappointed.

We had the Signature Tasting menu. The wine pairings were lovely and complimented the food very nicely. The Amuse Bouche was a little oyster which neither of us were too keen on - it was a very strong taste to start with. The Carrot & reisling soup was delicious & my friend wants the recipe! The lamb was....to die for! Funny, we both like blue cheese but neither of us ate much of that tasting dish. I loved the desert. Overall, a wonderful meal experience.

We have dined at this restaurant before and had wonderful experiences. Our meal yesterday though, was mediocre, and the service was horrendous. We waited almost an hour for our second course (at lunch!) after the first course came in about five minutes. The food was nowhere near the quality it has been in our previous experiences, not worth the wait or the high price. We will NEVER go to Peller Estates again, even though it has such a lovely setting. It was Father's Day, and I had to apologize to my husband for the less than stellar experience. An addendum: We could hear the chef or whomever screaming in the kitchen. We heard him in the dining room!!! Not much class there.

Big disappointment. Took forever to get the attention of a waitress. When food was brought to table, waitress and another server put the plates down, rattled off what was being served and immediately turned around and left--had to wait more than 5 minutes to finally get someone's attention (I did by continuously waiving my hands at oblivious servers and the hotstess. As for the food, the presentations were mundane at best. My lamb, which I was told the chef prepared medium rare (was not asked how I liked it) arrived rare, but was dry and tough. And a large layer of fat was left on each chop. This is a beautiful place, magnificent view of the vinyard, but mediocre food, and poor service. Don't waste your or expectations here.
