On our last night in Vail, we decided we wanted a special meal to end our trip. Lancelot was the perfect place. We were given an excellent table next to the open windows and patio. We enjoyed the prime rib, the filet and the salads. Service was very good. We would recommend Lancelot for a good meal in Vail. Reservations are a must, especially during the ski season.

Prime rib was outstanding. Service fair. Greeting by Host was less than special. Ambiance outside was excellent. Seating inside would have made the experience less desirable as the furnishings appear dreary and old

  • Can't Beat the Prime Rib
    TonyVIP

Love the prime rib at Lancelot. It's hard to beat. But they also did a wonderful job with the two appetizers we ordered--scallops and crispy shrimp. Love the new look, too. The place has been completely renovated and updated inside, but retains its nice ambiance. Everything from salad to main course was beautifully prepared and presented. Service was fast and friendly after the disappointing 20 minute wait to have our 7 pm reservation honored. While we go for the prime rib, there are many wonderful options on the menu. Our only regret is that we saved no room for dessert!

Excellent Prime Rib and steaks, and good choice of vine. Atmosphere is okay, but not really comfortable. I am bothered by the fact that we a charged 18% service fee for a table of three - for my understanding not legitime and not reasonable! Nevertheless, I believe that this is a fact in US and not a special thing in Lancelot.

Lancelot has changed. Interior revamped ror the better, a much more upscale feel. Not surprisingly, the menu is more expensive and the portions a bit smaller than in days past. Lancelot is now a Vail dining option as opposed to a less expensive place to get a prime rib with kids running around the dining room. The food was very good, though my french onion soup was undercooked and alittle weird. The star is still the prime rib which is a s good as any you'll get in Vail. BTW, being a bit surprised at the prices at lancelot, I looked through the dining guide for Vail and noticed every place seems to charge $32 for a steak these days. Conspiracy?

This restaurant had mixed reviews but I don't understand why. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated immediately even though we were running late. We had a very attentive waiter who was there when needed and left us to talk and enjoy ourselves as long as we pleased, perfect! Our meals were all delicious. The famous prime rib lived up to it's reputation. linguine and shrimp and an appetizer turned entree of coconut crusted shrimp were both hits. The veal ambrosia turned out to be just mediocre. I would recommend this restaurant
