  • It's a shame that the food

It's a shame that the food was so bad - i go out a lot and that was probably the worst meal ive had in a long time - I can't believe the chief sent out the meals to both of us...both of our pieces of $15 chicken were like hockey pucks - burnt black on the bottom. There was also way too much garlic in the mash potatoes. Good Ambiance and I liked the music....but will never go back nor recommend this restaurant to anyone because someone back there doesn't know how to cook or doesn't taste his own food....or got in the shit during service and stopped keeping track of quality. I felt ripped off, but was on a first date and didn't want to make an issue of it - after we left, my date said the same thing about the food.

Food didn't seem as good as normal. Calamari was flavorless... and I remember raving about it last time we ate here. Service was wonderful. The entrees were okay, nothing to rave about. Definitely hope it was just an off night, usually much better.

  • I would like to see a more
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 5/9/2008
I would like to see a more extensive wine list. The list has a good selection of Chardonnay, but not much in the way of other whites. The red wine selection was pretty good, but I don't recall seeing any Cabernet Sauvignon, which would go really well with the beef entres. I would also like to see more wines offered by the glass. The one aspect of our experience that wasn't great was that there was a lot of rearranging of tables during our meal - loud and distracting. It was difficult to talk with the staff dragging tables and chairs around the patio. We started dinner at 6:30, which isn't terribly early, but we felt like we were the guests who arrive at a party too early while things are still being set up.

Food was good but served on the cold side. Not exactly what you'd expect for brunch. I've heard many good things about dinner and will try it out for that. The staff was very accomodating and helped make the experience fun!

    Pescer
    Dined on 4/10/2008
I don't think the bar tender knew how to mix drinks. Seldom ordered but simple Vodka gimlet was not right - no lime juice was used? Other drink - Vodka & soda... soda was flat with a lime instead of lemon. Calamari appetizer was OK. Entrees were not good... tasted like they had been pre-cooked and warmed up then covered with bottled sauces. Big time gap between starters and entree. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Would not recommend.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/29/2008
We left before we even ate. Took about 3 people to find us a table. Once they did, it was on the outside patio (which is covered in the winter) - it looks like a garage. It was cold and the table was the size of cocktail table for 4 of us to eat. We were the only other party out there along with 1 large party, which was awkward. The waiter didn't seem to understand why we were unhappy. Mind you I made reservations at least 5 days in advance. Awful experience - would NOT recommend.

We were all verrrrrry pleased with our meals! Wonderful. The only problem was that on the Open Table info, the address does not say if it is NORTH or SOUTH 2nd street. We were meeting there and all went to NORTH first. The address needs to say that it is at SOUTH 2nd street!! We lost lots of time/gas trying to find the place! We certainly will return!
