After reading about the great review on Twenty/20 Grill, we decided to try it. We were a party of 7 so were able to try various items. The lamb meatballs were out of this world, but then the rest of the food was just ok. The short rib is just that, ONE short rib and while good it just wasn't enough. I ordered the burger. It was ordered MR but came out WD. MAJOR disappointment. Drinks from the bar were pretty good but very pricey. One would expect that with a restaurant in a hotel but the wines were over priced. The atmosphere was trying to attract an adult crowd, with a fabulous outdoor seeting area with fire pits, but all the children running around changed it. Overall a little disappointing after reading the review in the paper.

  • No breakfast for you!

We came here hoping to get brunch on a Sunday. Apparently, their cut off for breakfast is 11:00am (on a SUNDAY!) and were told: Nope, too bad, so sad, lunch menu only! So we had lunch instead of breakfast/brunch food... which was not very good. The server was very absent-minded, and was probably the worst server we have ever had - very inattentive, very scatter-brained... very poor service. She never brought out the appetizer that I ordered, and after eating the burger for "lunch"... I didn't bother to remind her about the missing appetizer. Also, the coffee was lukewarm, and not refilled. I decided to give this restaurant another chance after a (very) bad experience here for dinner... unfortunately, we won't be back.

We were surprised at how casual the place was for a Sheraton dining spot, but then we realized it's close to Legoland, which is why there are no tablecloths and LOTS of families with small children. But we enjoyed our experience and will re-visit. Especially look forward to warmer SoCal weather so we can enjoy their newly-opened outdoor patio. It has gorgeous views of the ocean.

This was a lunch vist, but I definitely want to go back. Great wine list and fun cocktails are just a few highlights. The food was great as was the price point. Drink service was a little slow and our water was never refilled. They just need to work on that.

Great seating this time, away from 'vibrant noise' and good food. Loved the cream of asparagus soup. Bread (rye) was hard and difficult to eat on the sandwich, switched it for the great olive bread and it worked even better. Good waitress, very attentive but a bit too 'prompt' kept removing dishes before we finished but with some time she will be great! Great attitude.

Very good service, very poor experience. The patio was under construction, so DURING LUNCH they were cutting concrete at the dining room door. It seems like they could have scheduled that before or after lunch service. The food was good but not stellar. The servers were terrific and eventually moved our group to the lobby where we could hear each other and have dessert. They accommodated our special dietary requests and the menu is clearly labeled with gluten-free items.

While on a family vacation we settled on the Twenty/20 Grill after researching restaurants in the area that were highly rated and serving Thanksgiving dinner. Our kids loved their food, the wine selection was slightly above average and the service was good. My wife and I had the Turkey dinner and while we liked the meal overall, we were disappointed with the Turkey and the mashed potatoes were uninspired. Overall the experience was very nice but not spectacular.

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner here. Our only complaint was the side salad portion. Both my husband and I ordered side salads in addition to our entrees. The price was $11.00 per salad. The salad consisted of a few mixed greens, some candied nuts and another beet type vegetable. For the cost we felt unfulfilled. It there was a dollars worth of food in the salad that would be generous in my opinion.

Nice place for Thanksgiving dinner. Good portion size. Not too much food. Salad with Brussel sprout leaves & baked butternut squash, cranberries & nuts was outstanding! Waiter was helpful, attentive , but not overbearing. We single diners are often hidden out of site, as an embarassment....not @ this restaurant. Great table right in the middle of dining room. Only negative was the(not one) but TWO fussy babies within earshot. People with small children should have their own section of the dining room, so as not to disturb adults seeking a quiet, serene place to eat.

The Thanksgiving Dinner menu had a variety of choices. We both chose the turkey dinners. Our plates arrived with turkey, both white and dark meat, mashed potatoes, a cube of stuffing, cranberry relish, and green beans. The meal was adequate, yet not exceptional. Warming the plates would have kept our food warm longer. For dessert, we had the Pumpkin Cheesecake and the Apple and Pear Tart. Both were flavorful and a nice ending to the meal. The ambience of the restaurant is pleasant, yet a little crowded. Plans are in place to expand the size of the restaurant.

Perfect setting for a special occasion or romantic evening. Excellent classic ambiance with a creative, palate tempting menu. Their Salade Maison with field greens, watermelon radishes, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers is topped with a tasty chardonnay vinaigrette. The perfect start to a delicious meal. My dinner choice was the Niman Ranch Pretzel Burger. The beef is exquisite and flavorful, high quality "natural" beef from Niman Ranch in the San Francisco Bay area. The flavor was enhanced with pepper bacon, white cheddar cheese, carmelized mushrooms, and roasted garlic thyme mayo. The pretzel bread bun is the perfect envelope for these palate delighting flavors.

Server was friendly and helpful----offered to have my market greens cooked in olive oil instead of butter, but missed the fact that we had 2 kids who needed quicker, more attentive timing at a resort that has many young visitors because it is next to Legoalnd....dinner is a time when frequent checking in with the guests is especially helpful...we waited too long to be served and too long for the bill to arrive and be processed.

we were greeted with a beautiful smile by oir hostess, escorted to our booth by a friendly, personable Teresa and served by an outgoing and knowledgeable waiter, Sean. Food was well prepared (but chicken was a bit tough on the outside and very highly seasoned), the beef ribs were tender and juicy, the cheese platter had a good variety of three cheeses with additional touches to aid the palate. Noise level was moderate and lively at times. A very good experience for my Singaporan clientel!

Menu was varied and interesting. Food and service were excellent. What we didn't take into consideration was that this restaurant is located within the Sheraton Hotel which is adjacent to Legoland. Legoland=kids...lots of kids. Unfortunately, we didn't focus on where we were being seated which was next to several tables of families with unruly kids that needed constant entertainment. We were surprised that a restaurant of this caliber would draw so many families with small children. Perhaps a later reservation would help. Unfortunately, while we enjoyed the food immensely, our experience was overshadowed by the chaos around us.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in a quiet atmosphere with attentive staff. The young woman at the hostess desk was pleasant and smiled as she chatted with me (unlike the last woman I encountered my last time)! Our wait staff, Nicole, was friendly and attentive while being 'on the ball' for all our needs. The food was excellent and in smaller portions (appetizers) for light eating, which we wanted in the hotter weather we are currently experiencing. All staff smiled and were - personable offering to clear tables, close curtains open to the sun (in our eyes as the sun went down), filling glasses, stopping by to see if we needed anything. We even had one of the busboys stop by to see if we wanted anything he could get for us - Nestor

Went with girlfriends and we had the box lunch which is a great deal. $14 for a salad, 1/2 sandwich, cup of soup and a beverage. Delish! Soup was cheddar broccoli and you ahve to et it right away or it gets a little watery. No matter though since it was fabulous and we ate it first. I thought the prices were a little high, but not unusual for such a wonderful place. The service was top of the line, from the time we entered to when we left the property. The staff that greeted us made eye contact and were genuinely very friendly and helpful. The Waiter was professional, also made eye contact and was very attentive and helpful, as we had a newborn and a 3 year old with us. The Fish Tacos were the best in the world, and the salad and Pizza and sandwiches we had were absolutely delicious. This is definitely the place to go for Lunch, I can only imagine what it is like to have Dinner or Brunch their, or spend time at the Bar. 5***** service and food, completely satisfied!

I took my sister who was visiting from out of town to the Twenty/20 Grill & Wine Bar, and this place was a true Neighborhood Gem. The food was excellent, we had the house special and we were quite pleased. The service was spot on; they know how to time serving entrées just right. If you are looking for a clean, romantic, scenic place to take a date or out of town guest this is the place. Prices were a little steep but reasonable for what you get. I would have to rate the Twenty/20 Grill & Bar high on my favorite places to dine in North County San Diego. When you go try to get there to watch the sunset it has a spectacular view of a California ocean sunset. Enjoy
