  • We had an excellent dinner

We had an excellent dinner party . . . the service was outstanding and the garden setting is beautiful. We were celebrating a birthday . . . the restaurant did an incredible job of making it special (sparkler on the dessert; complementary glass of dessert wine). The food was the only disappointment--not particularly memorable.

Very, very bad service. Food was not good. My husband's sea bass arrived ice cold and the list goes on and on.

  • My recent experience at Vita
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 2/14/2009
My recent experience at Vita was a disappointing one. Having dinned there before, I thought the ambiance, along with a good meal, would lend for a perfect St. Valentine's Day dinner. It wasn't. The tables were set in such tight proximity that the scene could have easily been confused with that of a speed dating event; I could hear the conversation two couples away and my table was literally touching the one next to us! The disappointment continued with an extremely disorganized service - drinks were forgotten, the dinner arrived 1:15 hours after ordered and one of the entrees was cold! It is a shame, because the decor, ambiance and food quality could easily make this one of the best venues in Miami.

  • Open Table needs to update

Open Table needs to update their records. VITA IS CLOSED. I was taking a client to dinner and to our dismay, when we arrived at the doors it was closed and under construction. PLEASE update your listing and do not list Vita as an option. I thought that Open Table would keep current records.

It was not open. We booked a reservation through your service, received a confirmation and still the restaurant was closed. Thankfully, Nobu was open across the street!

  • Vita is not a good value.

Vita is not a good value. Food is good, but the cost is too high. A modest bottle of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, tax, and tip was $240. My guest said the menu was priced in euros and then converted to dollars.

It was great before it closed down and then changed owners. My husband and I were quite dissappointed at the new restaurant although it was still nice to be outside.
