In the past the food was very good however I was very disappointed this time. I ordered what the restaurant claimed was a 5oz lobster. I'm not sure what part of it was 5oz as there was barely any lobster meat. It was definitely not worth the price they charged. Although in the past I have recommended this restaurant to friends, I'm not sure I would do so in the future.

We were quite disappointed in our recent visit to Fresh Fish Co. The exceptional service we have become accustomed to disappeared. After dinner, it was faster going to the ladies room/men's room to wash our hands than to wait for a warm towel. The food did not have that special quality as in the past, which had always added to conversation during dinner. Thank you, Pauline Steadman

I heard this place was good years ago, it must have peaked long ago because it seemed stale; it is now a quiet place for seniors to go by the looks of it. I'd choose Red Lobster over this place any day if that says anything. The only thing we liked was some crab artichoke dip. Very disappointed- didn't enjoy the fish and the name is Fresh Fish Co!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

My date and I were quite satisfied with our experience at The Fresh Fish Company. Our hostess and server were attentive but not hovering; there was no pressure to be in a rush, nor was there any long wait between courses. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and good-sized servings - not too much, not too little. I was first introduced to The Fresh Fish Company on the occasion of someone's birthday. While the incentive of receiving a discount on that person's meal is attractive, it would be worthwhile to dine there a few times a year, even without the discount.

  • Fresh Fish Co. has always
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 9/20/2008
Fresh Fish Co. has always been simply a special occasion dining experience only. Perhaps I never noticed all the specials they have on certain days during certain hours or these are new. It has been a long time since we've been there but we joined the birthday club (your age is the percentage off your bill)and we intend to try out their specials they advertise (brochures inside their restaurant). It is pricey but not out of reach for the special occasions and their food is, as always, extremely delicious. We loved the open table reservations. The only negative was having to listen to the loud base music thumping from the nightclub attached to it. I think quiet dining has, sadly, gone by the wayside.

We drove up from Colorado Springs for our anniversary to have a nice seafood dinner. Our Maitre'D was informed via our Open Table.com reservations that this was our anniversary. While greeting and seating us she wished us a Happy Anniversary which we thought was a nice touch...The food was great. This was our 4th time to this restaurant...The service was very good. It would have been outstanding except our waiter overlooked my wife's side order of king crab legs and had to be reminded...The ambiance was so-so. While the dim lighting and tropical fish tanks dotted throughout the Fresh Fish Co are a plus - packing folks in like sardines all around you is the minus. As such, the noise was moderate...Overall it was still a nice evening.

The food was par. The lobster was incredibly mushy but everything else was okay. I don't see myself going back. I couldn't see myself paying more than I did and I had my birthday discount. It's really starting to go downhill as far as quality, even the clientel was obviously going downhill as well. As far as "Fresh" not so much. I'd rather spend $20 more bucks and go to JAX.

We had a nice evening with good conversation that was properly interupted in timely fashion by our waitstaff. We never lacked for water, and the food was prepared well and in keeping with a comfortable evening out with friends. Our wives especially enjoyed the flower arrangements that we had ordered ahead via the opentable.com website. That was just the thing as our wives realized we had thought ahead, and the Fresh Fish Company staff recognized right away that it was us and had the flowers on the table before they sat us.

The service was good up to the end...when the server did not ask for refills on the coffee and forgot to bring the credit card back to my host and acted like it was her fault. Takes a bit of looking but they do have the regular sauces for fish and seafood. The tartar sauce is in the metal closed lid bowl, cocktail sauce - if not next to the shrimp, ask a server because for some reason they have it in the back and bring it out to replensih, butter is a bit to the back of the table. Just look a bit and they're around.

Food was good as always. But service was poor and excrutiatingly slow. When we ordered deserts, the waiter took our orde. Then it took a good 15 minutes wait, before the manager showed up at our table explaining they were out of the desert we ordered. When we asked for alternatives, he didn't know, went to look for a desert menu, didn't find one, came back and offered two alternatives he seemed to remember he had on the menu. It then took another 10+ minutes to actually get the deserts - simple ice cream with no preparation time needed. We won't be going back there.

Waiter was a little too formal - needs to relax a bit more and have fun. Google "Escolar" before you eat it. I freaked out the next day 'till I found the info I needed to explain side effects after eating escolar. Not appropriate to detail here.

The food was not especially good. The costs were rather high for the quality of food. Even the dessert tasted like fish. The only saving grace for this experience was the service. The hostessing staff was great and very welcoming. The waitstaff was efficient, friendly and went out of the way to try to make my dinner enjoyable. Too bad the chefs apparently didn't have the same attention to detail and interest in QA/QC. I'm not sure if the fish quality was poor or if the preparation was sub-par, but either way, apples should never taste like fish. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. I had heard such good things about the food, but was sorely disappointed.

Well, we had a $25 gift certificate but were told we couldn't use it because one person in our 2 person party ordered the Friday feast (no coupons or discounts) and they wouldn't discount the other person's meal. Thought that was dumb. We have one more coupon which expires in October so we will go back and make sure to order something that can be discounted. Food was good, though. Janie the waitress was nice but I should have asked for a manager to reconcile the coupon issue. I guess happy hour prices only apply in the bar area, too, because a drink listed on chalk board wasn't charged as listed, and we sat at a table in dining room. Not overall very happy with this visit.
